@cmartin2716 at the beginning of basic the soldiers were given the opportunity to write down family ( loved ones) email address to be sent updates by their Sergent. I was sent weekly pics and a report of what they were doing. It wasn't individualized but I did find my son in several pics. It really helped me get through. I saved all the pics to my computer and made a video for his homecoming party from basic and then decided to post it on youtube.

I haven't seen a better video put together than this one for Army Basic...great job ! My son completed Basic recently at Fort Sill and we watched this together before he left. He is in AIT now and doing great. Great pictures of what they are actually doing ( and I dont think my son had the same photographer ) and good choice of songs. Thanks for sharing :)

1:40 oooh I remember that building.... We did our 7 mile road marchfrom 3AM to 6AM, ate MRE's and then went through the gas chamber.... Guess they finally tore down the WWII barracks... Was in A-3 #rd plt. 1984. Firing range looked same. We didn't focus on hand to hand like these guys did. We were taught to be gun bunnies. more than urban combat. Spent a lot of time on enemy recognizing. Mostly soviet vehicles. This is interesting though. Great job Guys... Kick their asses!!!
