Anne was like a teenager the days before her execution. Swing moods and everything. First she would be laughing, then crying then laugh again My god, must have been horrible.
I dont think Anne Boleyn was really as attractive as the woman who played her in the Tudors. I thought she was actually very unattractive. But i could be mixing her up with someone else
that would be Katherine of Aragon haha. She was known to be very unattractive and Henry was pretty much forced to marry her, because she was his brother's wife (as he explains through the divorce scenes in The Tudors).
@Krysten13dance You know nothing of history...The most learned scholars all agree that Henry married Catherine because he loved her. And there is no true account that has stated that she was unattractive...Movies are not history. Pick up a good reputable book and educate yourself.
@goodgirlkay MY SISTER KEEPS COMMENTING RUDE THINGS ON PEOPLES VIDEOS ON MY ACCOUNT i am truely sorry about her she is older than me and she has an additude and she does judge peoples work im soooooo sorry
Isn't it curious how he told her that there would be no pain, but really how would he know? How would anyone know? The only people that could really say that would be already dead. I really love Anne Boleyn, especially Natalie's performance, she made me love both Anne and her.
Everyone has a feeling about Henry the VIII and his six wives. I think part of the problem is we view it from our generational views, and who could blame us. I personally wasn't there during the times of Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn and company, but I think they did what every person strove to do in that time period, which is gain more power for themselves, and their family. I do agree that Natalie Dormer was a magnificent Anne.
When I was a little girl and saw a movie about Henry VIII including Anne Boleyn's execution, I thought it was pretty cool and brave to say something like that before you're executed. Now, I think it's really sad and I just want to hit Henry with a brick for killing his own wife. Poor, poor Anne...
How horrible how Jane is merrily getting ready to see Henry while his other wife is getting beheaded. I mean really? Either Jane is pure evil or she has no clue who she is really dealing with.
@TheNuharoo Well, same thing with Catherine of Argon. Catherine of A. was locked in a tower while Anne Boleyn was happily marrying Henry. But I understand your point.
Amazing how what goes around, comes around, eh? What Anne did to Katherine, Jane ended up doing to Anne. The difference is that Henry never would have dragged Katherine to the scaffold because that would have triggered all out war. Anne had no powerful friends and what was left of her family completely abandoned her when Henry started to reject her. Chilling, completely chilling.
@TheNuharoo well people seem to ignore the fact that anne wanted catherine and mary killed regardless during her reign as queen and i'm sure if it had been the other way around, and catherine of aragon was about to be executed. anne would have been 'merrily' getting ready too. shes no innocent
@peacedesertrose Yes Anne was not innocent but i must say i prefer her to that awfully boring jane seymour. Anne is more famous in history, more beautiful in the show and is way more realistic than plain Jane. For one, she was quite independent and headstrong which is what woman today are like not obedient and inferior to men the way jane was portrayed. I love Anne because she was brave and wasn't afraid to make a difference even though it cost her a head. To me jane was a coward
@serenadool I don't deny Anne is more famous in history. Shes the mistress turned wife that was executed based on false charges. And the mother of Elizabeth I. I don't agree that Jane is 'awfully' boring, its a personal opinion but I do find Jane interesting. You say Anne was independent and headstrong, which was her qualities yet they were also her downfall. At least Jane kept her head. And you're telling me Natalie Dormer is more beautiful than Annabelle Wallis?! Nah. Natalie is more seductive
@peacedesertrose okay those are all good points and yes i agree that anne let her emotions rule her and that led to her downfall. So ya jane was smarter in that way. But i believe he loved anne the most because his passion was greatest with her. When a person loves it is supposed to be with their whole heart. They take risks and act on impulse like he did with anne but never with jane. Also his relationship of anne was the longest one i think. With jane he played it safe.
@peacedesertrose Also he loved how easy the relationship with jane was. The right girl for henry was someone who stood back up to him. Anne was just like him but because she was a girl and not royalty she was executed for her impulses. Who's prettier natalie or anabelle? that's an opinion. i'm not saying anabelle isn't beautiful. Of course she is. But personally, i thought there was something more exotic about natalie. she's gorgeous. i loved anne's style more than jane's as well.
@serenadool I do think that Anne was the passion of his life, and he did love her at the beginning, and maybe like you said still loved her after her death. But I think Anne and Jane both held a portion of his heart, however cruel or selfish he was. My reasons behind me thinking Jane was the love of his life are because he mourned her for months, and did not remarry for 3 years even though now he knew he could produce sons. And when Katherine Howard came on the scene he hoped for sons with her?!
@peacedesertrose you know. i never even thought about it like that. Ya i think you're right about both women having the most important places in his heart. and oh that thing with katherine howard was so horrible. How could he even think to have children with her? i mean she was so young! younger than his own daughter. That was disgusting and although she was a pretty little fool, i felt so bad for her when she was executed.
@serenadool I do think Anne and Jane were the two most important women in his life, and both were special to him in different ways. I think Katherine Howard's story is tragic, she was only young and knew no better. 17 married to a 50 year old?! See I don't think he loved Katherine, I think he used her to suck out the bad blood from his other marriages, and make him feel young again. Just a distraction so he never had to face the reality of say divorcing Catherine, killing Anne, Jane's death..
@serenadool See my point? surely if he wanted to secure the succession with another son while he was still able, he would have remarried sooner? So that shows me that he did love Jane, and her death was a big impact on him. I'm sure deep down he regretted killing Anne, and maybe he knew she was innocent. Just like with Thomas More, he killed him on impulse just like Anne. And he loved the man. Yeah Natalie is very pretty, but I do find her more seductive/exotic. I think Annabelle is very natural
@peacedesertrose lol i gotta say you're pretty persuasive. I actually just looked back at old clips of jane and realized that her and anne are two different types of beautiful. Ya i definitely now think that Jane looked better in royal clothing and looked more like England's Queen. As for Anne she had the sexy lady in waiting look. The forbidden beauty look. All in all both gorgeous and in my opinion the two best actresses on the show.
@serenadool Ahaha :) Yeah they are, Natalie is very rare and exotic looking, whereas Annabelle has a very pure, natural beauty. Both beautiful. Yeah I agree, Natalie is a brilliant actress, and after seeing Jane's dream sequence just proved what a great actress she is. They are both my favorite actresses/queens on the show. Yea I think Jane looked and behaved just how a queen should, whereas Anne had a edge to her fashion and has sex appeal, whereas Jane does not.
@peacedesertrose also i believe henry only said he loved jane the most because she did what ever he said. She was his perfect golden robot. THE TRUTH THAT WE SHOULD ALL ACCEPT IS THAT ANNE WAS THE REAL LOVE OF HIS LIFE BUT HENRY'S IGNORANCE AND SELFISHNESS OVERTHREW THAT.
@peacedesertrose yes he had her executed and thought wrongly of her even after death. Still that is only due to his arrogance and selfishness. He was extremely mad at Anne because he really believed she had been unfaithful. As a king who was obsessed with power, he had no tolerance for those who betrayed him. like i said, his arrogance hid his love. of course no one can really tell who he loved. we can just guess. and based on what i know i believe anne really was the love of his life
How can people accuse Anne of being a whore and taking a woman's man but not say the same about Jane? It's just that Jane was quiet and sweet about it whereas Anne was loud and ready to fight tooth and nail for what she wanted. In that way I guess Jane was a lot smarter and more cunning than we give her credit for. God rest both their souls.
does anyone else think that might be alittle reasuring to them to hear they wont be suffering? Cause i think that might kinda make it easyer for me if i was gonna face the end...
I love it when she says her little joke and she looks up at Kingston like, 'Do you not get my joke? It's very funny.' Also, I love how she says she thought she would be past her pain and he thought she meant physical pain...No, the pain from having a husband like Henry who condemned her to death for no reason.
Don't hate Jane, people. I may be a little biased because Jane Seymour and Katherine of Aragon are my two favorite queens, but honestly - I don't recall Anne ceasing her laughter when Katherine was sent away, or when she died.
Meanwhile, though, I do hate this Jane...I prefer Annabelle Wallis. She does a much better Jane Seymour, in my opinion.
@TheOceanIsMyLife The thing about Jane and her family is that unlike the Boleyns, there seems to be no malicious intent; they seemed to be really sincere. Sure Jane's father really liked the idea of his daughter getting close to the king, but what normal English family wouldn't? But just based on what we see of her dad, I don't think Jane's dad would've ever sacrificed his daughter just to gain more power like Anne's dad did.
Her laughter always struck me as her laughing at the bizarre situation of discussing and planning your own death, not her going mad.
I do not mind Jane, despite my interest in Anne's story, but the way this clip was cut just makes me hate her. To see her so giddy and immature when she knows that Anne is preparing for her death just makes me want to smack her, especially since it is because of her Henry had Anne and her supposed 'lovers' framed.
it really upseting as you see one ready to die the othere to be wed and everyone who call anne a slut what evidence do they have and where you there no anne cared a lot for her family and am sure even in the end she loved henry she may of pland to make herself queen but she feel in love and is she a slut then henry must be the devil even married he sleep with othere weman all because they coundn't have a son but i look up to anne because she was hard working and care for her family even in death
I think that the severity of the execution was getting to her. She was probably going mad. I know that I might of if I was going to be killed by the man I loved, and who I thought loved me.

It just makes me wonder how she could possibly know if the executioner was very good when all of the people he'd killed were...dead...
