I have a question for you? Is it better to have goldfish in a tank with gravel or without gravel? I know they are dirty fish from what i have been told.
Personally, I absolutely LOVE barebottom. It's SO easy to keep clean. And it's not like you can't have _some_ stuff on the bottom. I'm not sure if you can see it on my other videos, but I am still capable of decorating it with pebbles & even some fake driftwood and plants.
When I did have gravel, I would end up vacuuming a HORRIBLE amount of poop and food remnants that were stuck on the bottom where the fish couldn't reach and the filter couldn't pickup.
the point of gravel is mainly so the bacteria has a place to condracate this helps with the fishes suvrival simulatning a natural eviormet, it also heps keep bad bacteria which is extreamly harmfull to fish away...
you may preffer the look but whats more important the way it looks or the suvival of the fish..? its your call
I wish I did ~ I gave my video camera to my younger brother, but these fish grew a TON over the months in my 40 gallon. Now they've moved on to bigger and better things and have been adopted to a neighbor's 100-gallon tank. :) I hope they find happiness there.
no dont get anymore fish they do grow dont worry each one of those fish grows to the size of a fist
just a tip :)

good looking fish :D
rember though, they need 10 gallons each as they will get 6-8 inches and they are very dirty fish.
