  • He has amazing fingers....

  • Hi! I'm a violin student. And I have a question: How he can play the 4:12 part? I really cannot understand. Thanks! :)

  • @thorsinhow I know how he does it, but I don't play violin so not too sure. I play guitar, and he''s using one of Harmonics technique. Whether it's Natural or Artificial, not sure.

  • @thorsinhow One finger held steadily on the string, and another one four notes over it, just pressing the string very softly. The are flagiolettes

  • @SeeEssThree Thanks friend! :)

  • Niccolò Paganini - Hacking the world since 1805

  • Over 180 people have no culture.

  • @bianbian428 Van Halen? JjajajJAJAAJAJjjajajajajajaja !!!!11!!!!

  • Are you sure this guy is even human?

  • why are his 10ths so perfect?! Whyyyy?!?!

  • Jascha's violin was an Stradivarius, wasn't it?

  • paganini es un idolo y su violin era un stradyvarius que ahora cuestan entre 5 y 6 millones de dolares

  • @ScottishCaledonian

  • how the hell do you even start to learn something like this?

  • @tweetingsparrow Once you break any song down to a one note level, anything is possible.

What's impossible is having the willpower to learn and master!

  • 184 people sold their souls...but still cant beat Heifetz

  • Pure genius.

  • He is one with his violin!

  • hijo de su madre

  • Jascha Heifetz is probably the closest we'll ever get to hearing how the real Paganini sounded

  • Wow....Awesome.. " Page Nine " He is such a fantastic musician.

  • just amazing!!!

  • @500hondaforest

Beethoven was a composer, Paganini was a virtuoso. Please learn the difference.

  • @mrjah603 Paganini also did some composing.

  • @mrjah603 You're listening to one of Paganini's 24 caprices, how is he NOT a freaking composer? Theres no law that says you cant be a composer if you're a virtuoso... and the condescending tone you used "Please learn the difference" when you're in fact 99% wrong.

  • @JediMasterZao Not wrong at all, I never said he wasn't a composer. The comment I was replying to intimated that Beethoven and Paganini were equals as musicians, but Beethoven was better because he was deaf.

  • Bril.

  • playing paganini is like having a red belt in karate...

  • @WoollyMammoth16 more like a black belt...

  • @WoollyMammoth16 if playing this is only like a red belt.... then what is it like playing to a black belt standard??

  • he taught my teacher's teacher :)

  • Holding my breath fr 4:12 onwards....

  • I can hear every note CLEARLY. I mean every note.

  • lol this shit is crazy holy hell!

  • haha, let's pray for 183 people who have lost their hearing. This is pure violin music.

  • This last caprice is basically all the other caprices put together. One 5:42 multi caprice

  • it's truly amazing how so many other composers were inspired by Paganini and his works.

    RIP Paganini and Heifetz.

  • I was wondering why his violin strings are not broken off...

  • chuck norris can play this with one piece of his hair

  • ....Damn.

  • JESUS CHRIST O.O

  • I managed to play this piece (although notes were off... and it sounded like hell).. and I was sweating all over the place... Heifetz played it like he's playing twinkle twinkle little star....

  • Paganini could play it on one string.

  • I don't know what to say... but I still want to say, Mr. Heifetz you are the best

  • Beautiful!!!

  • The Piano player can't compete with the greatness that is this violin player.

  • @etetepete Actually this is a movement of solo violin, of course piano is just playing bases for the violin to sound greater; do NOT compare them.

  • @RMCultOfficial Indeed. Without the piano this masterpiece would be incomplete.

  • @etetepete HOW can you compare them??? :O

  • @etetepete come on he is just accompanying no need to insult him.

  • awesome....simply awesome...

  • it make me crazy!!!!!!!!!!

  • Who cares how many people dislike this. It's an amazing video and has over 3 million (well-deserved) views. Let's just be glad enough people can appreciate real music.

Side-bar, his technique is phenomenal but strangely accessible... I feel less nervous about my own recitals after watching this

  • Does anybody know what year this performance was recorded?

lo digo en el buen sentido

  • one of the best of all history of art from a real genius paganini and wonderful playing by Heifetz

  • Jascha!!!!! por siempre Jascha!!!!! un corazon para todos los violinistas.

  • Sometimes when I'm feeling particularly low about the human species in general, I will pull up this video or maybe some mozart and it will knock that $*#@ right out. So inspirational and magnificent. I pity the deaf and those that cannot appreciate music for whatever reason. For shame.

  • @Turbodtm I agree.

  • @Turbodtm why pity them? Beethoven was one of the greatest musician's known to man and he was deaf, so don't pity them because some still understand it by watching the way it is played

  • i am a death metal musician. i play bass. paganini is a great influence on my playing. this song is pure emotion/evil.

  • @logsy1014 evil?

  • @JHUNTER626 2:58...tell me that isn't evil.

  • @logsy1014 hahaha u have a point XD

  • @logsy1014 i see emotion here but now evil. please explain where the evil is, i can;t find it.

  • Argh! That was so impressive!

  • where is variation 11 and 12?

  • His body language in the end kind of said "Oh, that was nothing really." THAT WAS AMAZING.

  • All those who disliked seem to be fans of the insulting Vanessa Mae version

  • @tinkerholt Totally Agree,man.

  • simply amazing :)

  • Master Paganini, bravo Jascha Heifetz.

  • 180 deaf who doesn't like mimos

  • Is this Yngwie's grandpa? ;^)

Awesome. I'd have loved to have seen Paganini play it. They need to make a modern movie about him and the way he made use of his odd appearance and the dark rumors about him to gain audience and fame.

  • Is this in fast motion?

  • @AKskier22 naaaah... :-)

  • WHEN I WAS FIVE YEARS OLD I COULD PLAY FAR BETTER THAN THIS, I COULD ALSO FLY LIKE SUPERMAN, RIDE IN A SPACESHIP WITH FLASH GORDON, AND FIGHT THE JAPS WITH JOHN WAYNE - DID I MENTION I HAVE A GREAT IMAGINATION?

    ROFL!

    :^)

PLAY ON JASCHA - YOU DE MAN WID A FIDDLE!

  • the piano distracts from the beauty of the violin, watch Alexander Markov

  • Amazing... it's even worse than I expected.

  • Perfeito!

  • he isnt very well with rhythmic progression; its all rather clipped and on the count

  • This is the balls.

  • 180 dislikes don't have a fucking clue what they're listening too to and two.

  • @capitalismforme they dnt know yet... what good things hv this life!

  • @capitalismforme Why do you care ?

  • @violinoamore Why do you care in responding in a 3 week old comment?

  • @noxXxnocti Stupid comments have no time limit ...

  • @violinoamore lmao Nice.

  • he have to stay 24hours/day awake, to practise enought, to play something like this @-@

  • Yes, a wizard! But the wizardry comes from being a MUSICIAN!!

  • Comment removed

  • o proximo sou eu

    Vinicius Tanaka!

  • when one listens to his music it appears to be a joint venture of Lucifer and Angel but definitely not human. Was he really human?

  • @khanborat69 I assume that's a bit of, IMO completely justified, hyperbole. but even if you'd posed that question in complete ernest, it wouldn't strike me as any where near preposterous; after all, so far as I know perfection is beyond the reach of mortals . . . and if Heifitz did not, at least upon occasion, exhibit literally flawless technique, then the words "perfect" and "flawless" simply have no meaning.

  • O_o wow... amazing ! :D

  • best violinist ever

  • incredible wonderful playing!

  • Still one of the best .. Jascha .... we love your musical gift ...
