I had a sit on the black one of these, and I am over 6ft, and it felt really comfortable. did not take it for a ride though as I do not have my license for one yet.
Cool vids mate....seriously considering getting one of these as a beginner......especially as you said that you can drive it hard without it throwing you off! as easily
The multi colors is what makes them a " Special Edithion " over being just one. Your right it is a markting ploy, Anything to charge more money.. BTW Nice bike. Whats your MPG / LT per tank. Ride safe, yl
@Traniapfel Vehicle manufacturers release the next year model at the end of the current year. This was filmed in November 2009 so the 2010 model would have already been out for like two months. Weird how they do that.

MSRP is at 3,999 NEW. Of course not adding dealing fees etc.
Beginner's I would highly recommend this bike or a lower CC bike. I have seen wayyy too many accident's with big toys. Start of small and then climb up.
If you do decide to get a bike, IF you are totally new, get a used one. You will most likely drop a bike or nip somthing. Thus you won't have to worry about a BRAND NEW bike.
Good review on the bike and training, Blinkycab I appreciate your vidz.
quick question, i am debating on buying a ninja like this one new or finding a 600cc yamaha r6 (my dream bike). Main thing im concern is about the speed factor, and ofcourse since i am a beginner would it make sense to buy a new ninja and than later on sell it for a 600cc bike or just get one right out of the bag?
The real problem with this light bike's, is when u rocks on the freeway [especially in California] is scarring when a big, big truck pass 65 MPH on your side... wow u gotta feeling... that's why I prefer a heavy bike, well mine is a CBR 1000, more heavy, but my first bike I bought was a 2004 Ninja 250, actually I learn to drive in that one... pretty cool bike, nice, enjoy it guy, nothing happen, just enjoy the ride.
@CrazyIProductions its the brake fluid reservoir for the front brake caliper :) think its standard for all bikes unless they have a cable operated front brake (very unlikely)
i've been thinking on and off about getting a Ninja 250R, and thanks to your entertaining vlogs, it's getting me pumped up for it...but i'm always discouraged to be reminded that here in Toronto, ontario, CANADA....
the insurance is very high for motorbikes, and also the fact that winter season is very long.
i know australia does have it's winter-y seasons, i'm wondering how do you transport with bike in garage for hibernation?
@Erny25 lol, I was just joking, 1000cc is too much for any new rider, the 250R is good, it doesn't look small either, if it is for you, then try get a ER-6F?
@Erny25 Yea dude the Ninja 250 will do 110 mph. A lot of people will tell you it is weak and underpowered and you'll get bored and it's a girly bike etc etc. But don't listen to them they are full of shit. I promise you will be more than satisfied with a Ninja 250 as your first bike (assuming it would be your first bike). And if you do end up wanting more power in six months or a year, it's easy to sell it and buy something a bit bigger.
Its a special edition because of the extra paint job (i.e. white checkers at the bottom, etc). They have plain lime green for the same price as the black, etc
Hey Blinky! Thanks for these great videos!! I just purchased a 2011 Green Ninja 250r! I'm 15 and this is my first bike, i'm picking it up tomorrow and I'm gonna make a video for you saying thankx!! :]
@blinkycab Well that works, considering we're the same age too. Now I Just need to lose about a quarter of my weight so I wouldn't look like a stereotypical biker on the wrong kinda bike. :D
@Luwinkle bro I got the same one and I am 6ft 3 and let me tell you it will fit you better than the bigger cc bikes , I promise , listen to blinky look at me on mine too please.
@rudeEMOboi listen, he dont care if its a 1cc bike or a 1700cc bike, he just likes it, and by the way no point in showing off by saying "even if i have a 600ccr" because there are some people who will ride a yamaha 1.7k cc and still enjoy riding a 125.
@rudeEMOboi s WOW! What a dummy. It's obviously NOT a "childrenbike". Your spelling is obviously child like indeed. This is a motorcycle. The cc's do not matter to anyone in the world, but you.
Yea but your emo, says in your name right? So you have a children's mindset, and you have proved it with your comment. Also, you spell like a fucking moron. How do you feel spelling like a moron?
come on! the tacho looks so old... Like it where biuld in 1990.... it's 2010!! electronic is now in the yamaha tzr 50 ccm.. ninja 250r is amazing but the tacho sucks..
could u do a video on how to secure your motorcycle and keep it from being stolen? I know maybe Australia has better crime rating but here in Los Angeles, or other US cities like NYC we have to worry about that shit CONSTANTLY
Cool bid bro! I actually just got my license and I am buying a 250R next spring! Getting some tax money back + vacation money! Buying it used doh, norwegian taxes are insane :D
The Ninja 250r 2008+ is so beautiful and felt so comfortable when I sat on it at the dealer, gets great gas, agile, low on insurance, but, I don't think I can afford it so I think I'm gonna buy a used Cbr 600 as my first bike, blah, i wish i could have both
@ptmcl99 you know what REALLY PISSES me off? in canada a USED ninja250 is slightly over the price, of what a NEW one would cost you in the u.s >:@ there goes my dream of buying a brand new bike :(
@JJOSH5 tha sucks sorry to hear man im16 but im saving now for one, i got by drivers and motercycles licence and im almost there to getting a 250r. do u have a bike?
@ptmcl99 actually i just turned 16...i have enough money to buy a ninja250.....in the u.s :P but over here its much more...it's about $5200* but you still have to pay a bunch of fees which will end up being about $5600+ >:@
+ the insurance over here is CRAZYYYY for new riders like me nd u :( damn it. damn canadians!!! why??!! WHY?!!! >:(
@JJOSH5 ya insurence does suck its 100 for riders and like 250 for new riders pluse collision insurence then reg. im close to getting one i have b out 2500.
I am a beginner and I really want this bike....the only problem is, i am pretty tall, about 6' 3".....and idk if this bike is too small or if i would look awkward on it....or if it will run properly....ANY HELP?????
I love this bike, and I'm gonna get one pretty soon, I hope. Thank you for this video. it helps a lot. I like a lot of your videos. Your great! - Awesome bike.
@Pr0Auzzii That's too much the motorcycle , around here at least, is 4g at the most. And all the dealers I've talked to will give me a good deal on full gear, like $500(us), for helmet jacket pants boots and gloves for buying a new bike plus cut out a lot of paperwork fees and a bunch of other bs stuff like it esp. considering that the recession is still hitting us down here
hey, i've been wanting to buy a sportbike for a while but i cant dicide between the ninja 650r, or a ninja 250r,,,, ,anyway,,,,i wanted to know if two persons can ride this motorcycle???
@superjosue2012 Yeah it's a two-seater. If you want a bike because you are going to ride with another person on the back alot then I would suggest the 650R. The 250R can handle 2 people but the weight slows it down a bit.
@superjosue2012 600 is all the power u need and a little u want and obviously the 250 is lower just what you need to move. So if your just on transportation kick there is a diff between fun and just going. Its cut and dry dont get me wrong u still get joy of riding. i could see if u were trying to decide ... 1000 600 so many factors scary weight speed ect. but it should be easy for u
Emergency!! :P haha nice vid man. im looking to get this as my first geared bike. I've been riding a moped/scooter for 2/3 years and its coming up to my 19th birthday im thinking of getting this bike ! Is it a good bike to learn on with fun? i have ridden a geared bike before a few times, (aprilia rs125) but i want to go one better than my friend and get a ninja 250 ;D what do you reckon? thanks.
@blinkycab that sound gay..... dude show some respect for your ride... if you were in my country(INdia) you'd have to pay $6500+ for getting it...... and it also takes 180days after booking... In my case ive got 45days left... Damn!!!
dam cant wait to get mine in the middle of the year... i think the same kawasaki = lime green no other .
is it carb or fuel injection?
in brazil we have fuel injection but no fuel gauge =(
anyway i love the bike man.. i've almost bought a car, but motorcycles are awesome! freedom it self! so im gonna start with a 250 so i can get the moves.
@blinkycap yeah, that's what I actually meant. New bikes with carburetors aren't allowed in Germany anymore as far as I know. I guess it's because of pollution. And the FI makes them way more expensive....)-:
In Germany the Ninja 250r still has a temperature gage instead of the fuel gage...and it's fuel injected, that's the second difference to the US version.
Cool bike.I just bought a brand new 2010 ninja 250r myself and i love it.I got the black 1.I don't think there is any difference between the so called "special edition" & the normal 1 apart from the checkered paint job and special edition decals. You can still get green or blue on the normal bike 2 without the extra cost...
good vid ive got a zzr 250 and as far as i can work out from looking at the work shop manuals there the same bike with a few cosmetic changes mine red lines at 14 but will rev out to 15 and its been clocked at 210kmph its got a full race exhaust system on it and its been race tuned and i think the whole fuel thing is for new riders who havent got used to working out how much fuels left from the k's they've done
@CreditValleyWolvess You will destroy this little bike. Nah you would probably be alright...go and sit on one and see how it feels and if it's uncomfortable then yeah just go a bigger one.
@CreditValleyWolvess Ive seen a post on a forum about a guy around your size, he was saying that he was surprised how the bike was still so sharp even for him =) Go get one !
I had a sit on the black one of these, and I am over 6ft, and it felt really comfortable. did not take it for a ride though as I do not have my license for one yet.

I love your Bike, im 17 and i want that for 18/19 or maybe 20 Years old.
But then maybe i buy the 2011/2012 Model.
But Special Edition is much better then only green, but green must it be, like you say in the Video.
OK, maybe in 2 years i am cruising whit this bike.
TheCruiser93 1 year ago
The Black colour of these models are much better.

Do you recommend your Lime color or Red tatoo one?
HansRoht 1 year ago
It's a bit crowded if the driver is about 6 feet and over; crowded for the backrider that is. Very quick bike.

Are those new graphics on the 2010 special edition Ninja 250R vinyl or painted? I'd love to buy them.

hey, i've been wanting to buy a sportbike for a while but i cant dicide between the ninja 650r, or a ninja 250r,,,, ,anyway,,,,i wanted to know if two persons can ride this motorcycle???
superjosue2012 1 year ago
@superjosue2012 Yeah it's a two-seater. If you want a bike because you are going to ride with another person on the back alot then I would suggest the 650R. The 250R can handle 2 people but the weight slows it down a bit.

@blinkycab whats the diference of the special edition and the normal edition
ramonet27101993 1 year ago
@superjosue2012 600 is all the power u need and a little u want and obviously the 250 is lower just what you need to move. So if your just on transportation kick there is a diff between fun and just going. Its cut and dry dont get me wrong u still get joy of riding. i could see if u were trying to decide ... 1000 600 so many factors scary weight speed ect. but it should be easy for u

blinkycab 1 year ago
@blinkycab that sound gay..... dude show some respect for your ride... if you were in my country(INdia) you'd have to pay $6500+ for getting it...... and it also takes 180days after booking... In my case ive got 45days left... Damn!!!

I believe only the special edition has the fuel gage
Cheuny 1 year ago
dam cant wait to get mine in the middle of the year... i think the same kawasaki = lime green no other .
is it carb or fuel injection?
in brazil we have fuel injection but no fuel gauge =(
anyway i love the bike man.. i've almost bought a car, but motorcycles are awesome! freedom it self! so im gonna start with a 250 so i can get the moves.
thanks for the lookout!
paulomachado3 1 year ago
@blinkycap yeah, that's what I actually meant. New bikes with carburetors aren't allowed in Germany anymore as far as I know. I guess it's because of pollution. And the FI makes them way more expensive....)-:
Keita1792 1 year ago
LOL THE CAT
cmonutube 1 year ago
wow its really more expensive to get their trademark green? fucking retarded
cmonutube 1 year ago
In Germany the Ninja 250r still has a temperature gage instead of the fuel gage...and it's fuel injected, that's the second difference to the US version.
Keita1792 1 year ago
@Keita1792 I'm pretty sure it goes - Fuel Injection = Temp Gauge / Carburettor = Fuel Gauge. Something like that

I just picked mine up yesterday, the camera can't show its full beauty! Beautiful bike
BosNianBaLLer12 1 year ago
Cool bike.I just bought a brand new 2010 ninja 250r myself and i love it.I got the black 1.I don't think there is any difference between the so called "special edition" & the normal 1 apart from the checkered paint job and special edition decals. You can still get green or blue on the normal bike 2 without the extra cost...
emperor2017 1 year ago
good vid ive got a zzr 250 and as far as i can work out from looking at the work shop manuals there the same bike with a few cosmetic changes mine red lines at 14 but will rev out to 15 and its been clocked at 210kmph its got a full race exhaust system on it and its been race tuned and i think the whole fuel thing is for new riders who havent got used to working out how much fuels left from the k's they've done
