  • wow! the venom worked nearly instantly on that cricket!!! it just weeped!!

  • Sam na takiego poluję..:)

  • Piękny..:)

  • @Feralus69 dude an HH is a three look it up. The only medically significant hottentotta is the Hottentota saulcyi

  • @limput2

Just looked it up, yet again, and it's listed under one of the medically significant subspecies of Hottentotta and in order to be medically significant it must be at least a 4/5. Saulcyi is also medically significant but so is Hottentotta judaicus, there are more than a few that are under this spp. which does include H.H

Give me one scorpion with significant experience or a paper that says a H.H is not medically significant and has a venom rating equal to a Rhopalurus type spp.

  • @Feralus69

"Saulcyi is also medically significant but so is Hottentotta judaicus"

    I meant tamulus, not judaicus

  • @limput2

    "Give me one scorpion" 'expert'

  • this scorp isn't as dangerous as you say. I've been stung nothing serious. Your arm get's numb for a week from your finger all the way to your shoulder but you can take pills that relieve it in 2-3 hours. also @Feralus69 an HH is a 3-3.5/5

  • @limput2

Sorry, no it's not, an H.H is one of the medically significant Hottentotta spp which makes it at least a 4/5. An adult H.H has the potential to kill a small child, and that's not an exageration. I've been stung a few times by these and compared to the other species i've had the unlucky fortune of getting tagged by it has to be the second worse tag i've ever experienced, though it's not dangerous to a healthy adult it's still one of the more dangerous scorpions.

  • That cricket was finger lickin' good lol

  • two pinchers for teeth how scifi is that! I have one and they're aggressive and quick as lightning. A friend got stung and his whole arm and ear was affected and had to be hospitalized. Maybe I should just stick to longis. Clear videos by the way.

  • @caramelslider298

4-4.5/5 venom rating, and medically significant.

  • that scorpion loves to lick its fingers

  • can i ask Dr. Scorpy.. is this variety of scorpion can kill a human??because I have bought 1 of it. its still young about 1cm long.

  • @wastingmoonshine

"is this variety of scorpion can kill a human"

It can, not usually but it is medically significant. rates about a 4-4.5/5 on the scorpion venom charts.

  • hey a couple questions...one is it a "fat tailed scorpion?" also i have an emporer scorpion that doesnt sting its prey when eating i know there docile but is that there nature too? and is your scorp. gravid?

  • What instar is this?

  • u use premiere don'cha?

  • the scorpion isn't dangerouse!(for peoples) hes has a big stachel (sory my english isn't good i comes from german)

  • This scorpion can also be dangerous to people!!!

  • if they have an alergie yes otherwise no

  • it actually depends on the person... they could have an allergic reaction.

  • laber keinen bullshit! hottentotta haben schon nen netten gift cokctail für dich parat. kannst dich ja gerne mal stechen lassen. ansonsten beor du das nächste mal scheisse laberst informier dich -.- --->google klärt

  • @ett4321 oh da bist du aber richtig aufm holzweg gelandet. bevor man postet bitte ausreichend informieren....

  • I have one of this Scorps and its so calm and not so Agressive..

  • How many inches is it.

  • i love all your scorpion vids, scorpions have bin my favorit animal for a long time now. but im only just biggining on keeping them. at the moment i have an emperor and he is very young.what would you syggest as a second scorpion to get?

  • Maybe a desert scorpion ! Hadrurus arizonensis. Beautiful big scorpion and the venom isn't to "hot". Or Hadogenes paucidens. But I think Hadrurus arizonensis is more beautiful.

  • what about a Hottentotta Hottentotta?

  • Its not a beginner scorpion

  • i suggest getting a like dr. spider said a Hadrurus species also alot like an emperor is the heterometrus spinifer there chela is alot less curved and has a serten smoothness to them im currently raising two 3instar of these guys also a another good species is pandinius cavimanus

  • Funny name. Wow. Seems like ur getting new scorpions everyday as I am getting Ts. I just got 3 new ones yesterday

  • Yes, funny name :) Now I do not get any scorpions for a while. NO PLACE :( !!! Thats enough for a while. No Spiders, No Snakes and also not more Scorpions!

How many Spider you have now ???

I know you got some new spiders, I saw the Video "New Arrivals" :) You got a Female Avicularia Avicularia, and some other spiders !

    Thanks for comment

  • Ya got 45 now. No more Ts, like you said I got no more room. I got the female Avicularia Avicularia which I plan to mate with the mature male I have, I got the pternilochilus murinus (the OBT) and a Haplopelma species. Would you know if that's a minax?

  • I am not sure! But I think its a minax!

Can you see striped pattern on the abdomen ? Its difficult to see, cause of the dark coloration. This spiders are almost consistent black colored!

But as I said above,...I am not sure

  • Ya, its faint but I can see it

  • Ok, than its a Haplopelma minax

  • Now how venoumous is that sucker I though one's with smaller pinchers and fat tails are the most venomous. Well anyways beutiful scorp! I need to start studying my inverts more lol.

  • "one's with smaller pinchers and fat tails are the most venomous" Thats right,...ähmm,..the venom of this scorpions is high. At a scala of 1-5 , and 5 ist very very dangerous,...so this scorpion is 4 !

  • Oh wow, that's cool!

  • great looking scorpion, and a great video! take care now mate =D

  • Thanks!

  • FROM northern-Norway :-)

    sorry!

  • Thanks for another good video. Scorpions still scare me a bit :-) but I'm getting there...

The pet-shop next to my house have just ordered a couple of emperor scorpions. The owner is a self proclaimed expert regarding scorpions, anda he has promised to teach me a little about them.

Who knows. Maybe I will be getting one for myself....

Otherwise, great video quality and nice editing as always. Keep up the good work.

    Salutations for northern Norway :-)
