I think if she were really that upset or frightened about it, she would have struggled not to be picked up and put in or would have tried to get out. If it were something frightening and unpleasant for her, getting her into the swing would have been impossible to do without hurting her and even then she wouldn't have stayed in.

There's a difference between illogically anthropomorphizing an animal and acknowledging that an animal has personal likes and dislikes. Even scientists admit that.

I cant help but wonder how the dog felt about it the first time you did it, and how many times it took before the dog learned to `enjoy` it., or at least become used to it. And ultimately, whose enjoyment this was done for anyway. The dog, or the owner? Im really not impressed with this. I wont go as far as to say cruel. That would be dramatic. But the day a dog voluntarily climbs into a swing, I will admit I was wrong.

@russell0769 I agree. The owner stated that when she fell out the back she was not really hurt, just scared. How can she have fallen out onto her back or neck and not been hurt? She has to grip the front of the swing with her front paws to help support her back because the back of the swing is not high enough on her back. This may be cute but more than a couple of minutes would put quite a strain on the dog physically.

When she 'fell out' the ONE time, she didn't really fall out, she reached a tipping point that she wasn't comfortable with and got out on her own, and she landed on her feet and she wasn't hurt at all. As to it being uncomfortable, she has done this for over 45 minutes without an whisper of complaint. I love my dog and would never do anything to hurt her. She is very happy in the swing. Please watch my other videos to see how much she likes going to the park to swing.
