I actually think it might be the piano. I've currently got the same problem with mine. If the piano is a bit older, the hammers get worn down and extremely hard, which means that the dynamics are very difficult to control and playing softly becomes almost impossible.

not sure if it's the recording, but it's a bit loud - especially in the beginning. save it for the climax and for shading!
