  • Love Riccardo and Yulia's Jive Routine! Just AWESOME!!! And Michael and Joanna's Rumba Routine!!! These 2 couples deserved 1st and 2nd places!!!!!

  • It's politics which is why yulia and Ricardo won.

  • don't you mean joanna and michal's rumba walks ?

  • gotta love franco and oxana rumba walks at the end of their rumba!

  • i love watching ballroom dancing but i don't really know how these competitions work, so i just wondering isn't there an announcement where we find out who's the winner or do the couples already know according to their placement for each dance, 'cause i would love to see R&Y expression when they realized they won.

  • Joanna and Michael should have won, even though Riccardo and Yulia have comed and deserved to win - but still......

  • the final samba results....eh? WTF?

  • where can we find the best designs of latin costumes for men and women?? i mean website...does wearing costumes with lots of stones or any flashy clothes in a competitions really matter??

  • Who is the coach of Sergy and partner? PLzzzz....?

  • @dancer26latin

if dancesport was about coaches giving their own students into the final then i would find teacher all around the world!!! IDIOT

  • great dance michael and joana!!!! ur still the world prof champion!!!!!!!

  • I like Lebedeva's samba, so smooth, perfect use of body to produce movement.

  • does anybody know if we can watch the 2011 WDC championship online???

  • @xvall002. dancesport.ru

  • @HALLMARKDANCECENTER thanks!!!

  • Reccardo & Yulia are simply the best. MUCH MUCH better than all the rest!!!

  • oh M&J didnt win :( but great dancing, love franco's dancing

  • ok everyone look @ 18:50-52 hilarious,, joanne kisses cocchi thinking its her patner michael. her face is priceless!

  • @brntreat no guys its @ 18:43, check it out so funny.

  • I believe that when it comes to technicalities, Joana and Michael have and edge. However, the dance is about how the audience was enticed as how graceful you perform every steps which I believe Yulia and Riccardo really give justice to.. go Yulia and Ric...

  • @tayo992 Thanks for the info. The question was entirely rhetorical but thank you! :).

  • Maurizio Vescovo doesnt deserve top 6

  • OLGA MUELLER @ 13:20 :D

  • Where were M&J while they were taking comments from the winning couples??

  • On a completely unrelated note: who the #### let that woman with a purple and yellow dress into the semi finals? I truly hope no beginner is watching this video and thinks that lifting your feet up in a simple three step turn is okay. NO!!! Watch Yulia and Riccardo little ones! I would watch Joanna and Michael but unless you're a gymnast don't ever try to copy Joanna's style :) x

  • @obrkyl001 That woman is Ksenia Kasper

  • On a side note - I feel like Yulia is a better female than Joanna and Riccardo a better male than Michael but as a couple, M&J have got the upper hand in many respects. Yulia and Riccardo are a far younger coupling than M&J. M&J were together back in the Carmen and Brian days. And Riccardo and Joanne were beating Michael and Joanna.

  • That is why I hold the ranking in some sort of esteem. But yes, if there were a different ranking then perhaps M&J would be 1st. It would certainly make sense given that they seem to be coming 1st in nearly all their competitions. Even if I don't think they should be coming first. However, that is, once again, a matter of my preference. I look for a different think in dancing and that is who has the best understanding of the actual dance. Not necessarily the rhythms but the actual character.

  • Sigh. Bickering for no good reason. Here: WDC ranking is a ranking held in high esteem for a reason. To give the public an idea of which couple is currently on the scene and doing well. Its not always useful but it depends what you're looking for. I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss its validity. Secondly, all this arguing comes down to a matter of opinion and such is the nature of humans. Thus, we depend on the ranking to guide us away from preference and give us an unbiased view of our argument

  • @obrkyl001

"I wouldn't be too quick to dismiss its validity."

It's error margin is too large for it to be considered valid. The ranking list is in no way reliable method of tracking the success of couples. That is a fact, not an opinion. If it was reliable Valentin would be in the top 6 rank of amteurs instead of rank 66!

R&Y has won M&J once. Once! How many times M&J has won R&Y? How can the list be reliable when even before the competition without beating M&J once they were ranked higher?!

  • I know everybody has their preference either R&Y or M&J, and although my loyalty sticks with Riccardo and Yulia, I would say the 2 couples are pretty even. Michal and Joanna have the best rumba in the world, but their jive doesn't even come close to Riccardo and Yulia's. So, it evens out.

  • @IX19UT8O no it's not lie. M@J are really the champion.ever since they are the best couple!!! compare them to R@Y so we can see who's the best! each of us have it's own favorite couple. I Love M and J

  • @seravi no it's not lie. M@J are really the champion.ever since they are the best couple!!! compare them to R@Y so we can see who's the best! each of us have it's own favorite couple. I Love M and J

  • M&J are the best couple ever. what's the web page WDC?

  • and Slavik??? :((((

  • YEAH, RICCARDO & JULIA THE "WORLD CHAMPIONS", "THE BEST IN THE WORLD", RANKED 1ST IN THE WORLD BY THE WDC.

  • @WitoldBanasik & @piotrmex1: My, my my. I just check the WDC world professional ranking for Latin American dancing. Guess who is ranked first???? Surprise, surprise, it's Riccardo and Yulia. The best M&J could do was 6th place. It appears they didn't do as well in 2010 as you two claimed. You should check the rankings at the WDC web page. You two ##$%% have good day (no have a bad day). Freaking whiners.

  • @IX19UT8O Well, check the number of events M@j took part in in 2010 and compare them with R@Y. M@J took part in less dance competitions than any other couple from the first 6. Obviously, that is why M@J are ranked 6th, as points are combined from every events every couple takes part in.. Average achievement of M@J is better than R@Y. Anyway, Blackpool is ahead in May. I am sure M@j will win there as always. Have a very nice dancing day my friend.

  • @WitoldBanasik Koleszka IX19UT80 chyba zaraz w portki narobi hehe. Pozdrawiam!

  • Comment removed

  • @piotrmex1 Tak, masz rację. Koleszka o którym wspominasz nie zna się najwyraźniej na tańcu latynoamerykańskim na światowym poziomie. Być może konsumuje zbyt dużo hamburgerów. Wiadomo - Ameryka !!! Dziękujęi za pozdrowienia, odwzajemniam je.

  • @IX19UT8O

Are you just stupid and uninformed?

The ranking list does not give a very good indication of how couples are doing. All it tells is who is actively touring the world and competing in the ranking events. And just like M&J have stated in an interview they rather focus on major competitions than exhausting themselves by competing every weekend.

Oh, look, M&J won UK Open.

    Who would've guessed.

    Not IX19UT80 for one.

  • AAAHHH @AceyBlade my friend I've seen your comments on many ballroom videos and many were just as stupid and uniformed as your comments here. The WDC ranking like many other sports ranking not only show who is first but also give an indication as to who is willing to put in the work to win the big one. I could easily say that your M&J are just lazy and it showed at world. Oh, look M&J won UK open. Big freaking deal, they lost world. Who would've guess, certainly not @AceyBlade.

  • @IX19UT8O

There are many paths that lead to Rome. One is focus on few important competitions and one is to go to every competition you can. For M&J it has worked pretty damn well. What with numerous major English competition victories under their belt along with two WDC world titles.

Don't misunderstand. I'm happy they got kicked off the podium because they stopped progressing. UK Open showed they are willing to work on their dancing.

  • @IX19UT8O

And again, ranking list says nothing. As an example, we've got Valenting Chmerkosvkiy and Dariya Chesnokova at 66th place on the amateur ranking list and they still make it into big finals like the Worlds and UK Open.

Did you even consider twice that not everyone is able to afford running around the world for ranking points? Which are really worth nothing except the possibility of skipping first round in competitions.

  • @IX19UT8O

The only people who care about ranking lists are "last competition judges", as Lorrain labels them. Those are the judges that mark you based on previous results, ranking list position, or any other reason that is not motivated by their dancing on that day.

It's a shame you appear one of them.

  • @AceyBlade: Oh, look, R&Y won the 2011 world title. Who would've guessed. Not AceyBladeee for one. :)

  • Politics has nothing to do with the divine art of Michael and Joanna. They are Masters of the Universe as for me. I am sure they are the best for most of dancing people, not just sitting on their a... just clapping and shouting and able to spot the innovation, creativeness and enormous positive energy flowing from M@J dancing. They won England's Pro Latin 2011 a couple of days ago ahead of R@Y. It is obvious, isn't it ?

  • @WitoldBanasik: Your M&J did not win here where it counted, on the dance floor, so you come up with some mystic "master of the universe" thing, and a lot of useless adjectives to justify their loss. No one is questioning their dancing abilities and there is doubt they as well as R&Y will go to win in other competitions (some head-to-head). The fact, however, is R&Y won the world most prestigious world Latin dance championship and that's never going change. Quit whining.

  • @WitoldBanasik: For clarification, where it reads "there is doubt" should read "there is no doubt".

  • @IX19UT8O Bias against Polish couple dancing amazingly in Germany was manifestly shown even in this video made by German television. 80 percent of air time for Yulia and Riccardo, my friend, and M@J 20 times beat R@Y beforehand, not to mention the fact that this 2011year M@J began with winning UK Championships. Anyway, I always follow my common sense, taste and thanks God- talent. Some judges make obvious mistakes at times. That's life. Thanks for your comment. Have a good day.

  • @WitoldBanasik: It's very apparent that you are unable to accept M&J's lost. Y&R are the "world champions" and nothing you say, claim, or whine about will change that fact, not even God will change that for you. M&J could beat Y&R a million times but when it came to the big one, the one that matters the most, M&J lost to R&Y. Instead of whining, follow what you claim is your common sense and move on with your life. I always have a good day, you on the other, with all the crying, need a good day.

  • @IX19UT8O Thanks for your golden advice.Yes M@J won two times World Championships, that is why R@Y have stil plenty to do to match Polish couple achievements. Whining ? Ha ha... I have never felt better than today, my friend. It's sunny winter afternoon and I get ready to go skiing. Yet the upcoming evening looks even better with dancing with most beautiful woman in the world- my wife. Hawk.

  • MJ deserved the title still.. they are unbeatable becoz movement are almost perfected in all angles,,, their speed is extremely different among the rest coz of the discipline and togetherness which made them excel among the rest riccardo and franco still has to developed those ,, they are young couples yet.. they must wait for their turn....

  • @bullymaster666 Well, the most important thing you should now- Dancing is NOT about perfection, it's about real, natural feelings and emotions which come from the music and the movement af two bodies. If there is a great technique, but the emotions are fake , then also the movement is fake, . Fake emotions make fake movement. Why Bryan and Carmen where champions so many years? They where so sincere to what they were doing and showed the real essence of this beautiful art.

  • @cutierj

    Joanna winner in UK 2011

The competition is certainly atypical of the Committee.

  • The American judge gave M&J a 1st place marking in the Cha Cha Cha and Paso Doble as oppose to the Polish judge who gave R&Y no first place marking. Anyone who yell politics in this event can blame the Polish judge for that.

  • @IX19UT8O: Fortunately, it did not work for the Polish judge.

  • Check the final placement results for each of the eleven judges at the WDCDance web page, and the only judge who consistently voted for one couple, Michal & Joanna, and consistently voted against another couple, Riccardo & Yulia, was the Polish judge.

  • This is subjective judging by eleven judges from eleven different countries and they placed Riccardo & Julia first in four of the five dances. Michal & Joanna was placed first in the Cha Cha Cha, the only dance R&J did not win. Given this results, R&J beat M&J by a substantial amount. They were the best dancers and this event, period. They are the best latin professional dancers in the world.

  • is it possible to disqualify judges because of total disrespect to the dress code? The couples looks great.

But it was necessary (political) that the masters loses. i mean its the first time in dancesports history. Doing a sport competition where you know the winner before is not only useless but actually insane.

  • nice couples, nice dancing - but the lightening engineer is clearly color-blind

  • the lightning is totaly ugly and disgusting and gay -> makes eye cancer :-)

  • my only concern is, how come the couple wins everything ,and suddenly barely made 2rd???

  • @piotrmex1: Michal & Joanna placed first in the Cha Cha Cha only. Riccardo & Yulia placed first in the Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive. Check the final marking for each judge at the WDCDance web page. M&J did not barely win 2nd place, they beat the third place winner Franco & Oxana by a substantial margin.

  • @piotrmex1: The Polish judge Mariusz Grzejszczak placed M&J 1st in every dance unfortunately for the judge the other ten judges did not agree to that placement. This was absolutely favoritism by the Polish judge. R&Y received more 1st place marking than M&J in every dance except the Cha Cha Cha. For the cha cha cha R&Y received four 1st place versus M&J six 1st place. However, M&J did receive two 3rd place marks and one 4th place mark, R&Y lowest marking was one 3rd place.

  • @IX19UT8O 1. Michał Malitowski & Joanna Leunis - 2. Riccardo Cocchi & Yulia Zagorouitchenko - 3. Franco Formica & Oxana Lebedew - 4. Sergey Sourkov & Agnieszka Melnicka - 5. Andrej Skufca & Melinda Torokgyorgy - 6. Stefano Di Filippo & Olga Urumova -

  • @piotrmex1: ROTFLOL, only in your dreams!!!!!! :D)))))

  • Dreams??? Check UK open 2011

  • @IX19UT8O not only in my dreams but also in UK open 2011 !!

  • @piotrmex1: The UK Open???? I'm ROTFLOL. The WDC World is the ultimate, it's what every professional dancer in the world aim for. Comparing the UK Open to the WDC World is like comparing to the champions of England's National Football Association to the winner the FIFA World Cup. No freaking comparison. Stop the freaking crying. Congratulation to M&J for the UK win but it's too bad they could not win the big one.

  • @IX19UT8O Thank you for your second to none comment. Just for the clarification. M@J have already won two times World Championships so far. Congratulations to your good memory.

  • @IX19UT8O ROTFLOL i dont even know what t..f.. is this, couldnt care less, anyway i didnt say that R&Y are a bad dancers, they are great, just trying to show to all how ignorant your comments are!!!

  • @IX19UT8O

Oh, and by the way, they've (M&J)held the WDC title twice before. I'm sure next year they'll take it back. They just needed the kick in the butt for not developing enough. The UK Open was a clear showcase that they're able to improve their dancing in just a short time, while R&Y continued to dance at the level they've danced the last year or so.

  • @AceyBlade: Ref my reply to your first stupid comments. This one is just as stupid.

  • @AceyBlade: Oh look, M&J approved so much that they placed second again to R&Y and the 2011 world. :)

  • @IX19UT8O

Oh, look, it's you again. Sorry, but I can't bother discussing with someone who doesn't understand how world ranking lists work.

And for the record, watching the competition, R&Y victory was quite obvious when looking at the final. M&J should've belonged even lower than 2nd. They really didn't dance their best.

  • @AceyBlade: Acey how are you?:):). I happened across this video again yesterday and I just had to give a little poke to your "oh look" comments about the UK open. I had a nice laugh then because I knew R&Y would come through at world, hope you had a nice laugh this time. You are a fan of M&J and I a fan of R&Y and obvious my understand of world rankings differs from yours. There's nothing wrong with either, that's what we believe. The next Latin world is Dec 2012. May the best couple win.

  • @IX19UT8O

    "You are a fan of M&J "

Umm... no? Actually, I loathe Michael's dancing. Surkov is the only one in the final who I am a fan of. Besides that I do try to look at the final with judge's eyes instead of basing everything on a biased opinion.

"my understand of world rankings differs from yours"

Yes, well, I actually understand its merits and its accuracy.

    By the way:

    Oh, look M&J won Inter.

    And Blackpool too.

  • @AceyBlade: Hey you little tweet I was trying to be nice. You forgot M&J also won the European Championship "oh look who cares", you of course ha ha ha ha ha. Take care tweet, you need it. :)

  • @IX19UT8O

I guess you're tying to come off as biting in all random rambling you're going on about.

It isn't working, by the way.

  • @AceyBlade: Oh, you're not feeling very well, I'm not sorry. The judges at world did not have your eyes, thank goodness. As for bias, we're all bias, again thank goodnes for the 11 judges from around the world. As for the world ranking, your understanding of it is better than the WDC, certainly not. OH look R&Y are still the world champions. Get well soon and get big hugs from someone who really likes you. That may help you though I don't believe it will.

  • @IX19UT8O

Again, I suppose you're trying to be offending, but it's really not working.

There are numerous points that you either ignore or don't seem to have the capacity to understand. I'll try to simplify them just for you.

    1) R&Y should've won the world championships, like they did. Both times they simply danced better. Especially the championships in Russia. Show me a comment that I made that they either did not deserve the victory or that the judges were biased. Go on. I'm waiting.

  • @IX19UT8O

    2) I'm not comparing my understanding my understanding of the ranking list vs. the organisation that maintains it. That's absolutely absurd to even imply. I am only comparing my understanding vs. yours and yours only. Apparently you still have yet to realise that to succeed on the ranking list you only need to compete a lot. That is why the list is often flawed. By f.ex. placing world finalists outside the top 40.

  • @IX19UT8O 3) Sure, we're all biased in our opinions. 60% of the judging criteria is not up to opinion, however. Foot technique, timing, musicality, body lines and movement arcs etc. are not up to personal opinion. You, however, are of a different sort. You're a blind rabid fanboy who can't look past names and see the dancing for what it is. You're the kind of person who should never ever try to become a judge.

  • @IX19UT8O

Until you can show me that you've been able to smarten yourself enough to understand points 1 to 3 I'm going to ignore you. I'm not even going to hold my breath you'll be able to wrap your mind around the first or second point.

  • @piotrmex1 If you examine the results for the past few years, despite MJ winning in everything, the second couples still stand very close. To correctly phrase it, they "barely" made 2nd now but before, they also only "barely" win 1st. It's the judging system.

  • @seravi yea whatever...

  • @seravi: M&J did not win in everything, it's a big freaking lie by the two idiots @piotrmex1 and @WitoldBanasik. Based on 2010 results the best M&J could place in the WDC world latin professional ranking is 6th place. Base on the same results, R&Y are ranked 1st. Franco & Oxana 2nd. They need to give their whining and crying a rest. Check the results at the WDC web page. The truth shall make you free (LOL) :D))))

  • Johanna and Michail are a great couple. The same for Riccardo and Yulia. I think that this have been the worst competition for Johanna and Michail. Riccardo and Yulia have been more exciting and better than the other couple so I do not understand why someone can doubt their win! As someone before me 's already wrote, politics is everywhere, no matter who losts or wins.

  • For me all the contestants are winners. If I had just one percent of their talent I would be in dance heaven.

  • The song is called the shady dame of seville but I can't find this version it sounds like a Klaus Hallen song but I can't track it down, if anybody can please tell me.

  • melinda reacts like a flash to Andre's leads

  • This the worst competition for Michael and Joanna. But they're still the champion for me!!!!!

  • This the worst competition for Michael and Joanna. But they're still the champion for me!!!!!

  • lol the kiss !! too funny

  • 17:35 so funny :D

  • i would like to be there and see all these professional couples face to face and particularly yulia and riccardo and franco and oxana!!!!!!!!!! omg!!!!!!!!!(oh! my god)!!!! it's my dream to become such a prof latin dancer!!!

  • does anyone know the name of the paso doble song in the final?? It sounds awesome!

  • @apaz2012

That's a version of "The Shady Dame From Seville" from the movie 'Victor, Victoria'. I don't know who that version is by.

  • Bravo Ricki!

  • what's the name of the final rumba song. it's so beautiful!

  • AN Amazing rendition of rumba by Joanna and Michael... maturity of their action .. mastery of steps even probably if they closes their eyes they would still be able to dance. Speed using their connection is unstoppable .. making them superman and woman in the floor..

  • superiority over movements, are clearly expressed by this amazing couple MJ...

  • the clips with michael and joanna dancing next to riccardo and yulia are mad intense lol.

  • the winners: they both sound like pure americans! hahahah:P

  • I LOVE Yulia and Riccardo! They rock!

  • what happened to Slavik?

  • @whiphoward Slavik and Anna are not together anymore :((

  • I for one have been waiting a long time for this day in the hope that politics would step aside long enough for us to see fairness in dance sport. Not only is it insulting to M&J that they win on politics (if that were the case) but to try and taint a very deserving couple's win is just so trashy. Yulia was emotional on that podium, any idiot can see that. She's just reached the peak of her career. Anyone that says she's "feeling bad" is an uninformed bafoon with little respect for her hard work

  • @obrkyl001 Well, what politics??? M&J's main coach is Rudd Vermej and he does not judge any competition at all.

  • @chamcham212 the thing about dancing on this level is I feel like once you've made it in first place, you have to do something really bad to lose it. In fact I read a comment that said "the first time in history that a champion has been overtaken" which sort of gives off an idea that politics would dictate we have to have a stable winner the whole time even if on the odd occasion they aren't the best. Also I guess there is the possibility that they were always the best but many would disagree.

  • @chamcham212 Ruud rulez :)

  • @obrkyl001 Politics will always be around - no matter who win and who lose.

  • @obrkyl001 well said, except politics will always be there...it sucks but all sports have this problem

  • @sukthiz1

    False.

Sports where the result can be objectively measured politics do not exist.

  • Could I just say that here, no-one doubts the fact that there are elaborate political structures within Dance Sport the world over. In fact I think the fact that Michael and Joanna always win is due to politics. I, and many others, have believed that Yulia and Riccardo deserved to win many a competition. And then there are other times I believe M&J have deserved to win.

  • Love Oksana's blue/purple dress. She has the best legs ever! I can honestly say that as a girl & not be jealous or homo! Franco/Oksana seemed to really have improved this year. Yulia was getting down in that Jive! 17:34-GROSS! I don't understand why Sergy & Melia did so well I hardly even noticed them but hey, I 'm no expert.

  • this is th emost emotion i have seen markus homm dnace with since his days with charlotte egstrand....normally his emotional aspect is good but he really went their this time

  • I see nothing has changed in Germany after all those years....Joanna and Michael should have been 1st indeed but I was def impressed by Franko again so he was 2nd in my opinion. Anyways..lots has been going on lately and it doesn't do the sport any good. BTW can somebody send the fashion police to the judges???? What were they thinking standing on the floor dressed like that? Except for the Scot ...loved that. @ Joanna and Michael...the world knows where you belong darlins!!!!

  • @Aphy1970 While I love Franco and respect him as a dancer there is no way that him and Oksana deserved to beat Yulia and Riccardo. They have miles to go before they could ever hope to achieve what Yulia and Riccardo have achieved within their dancing. Also, can we get over the fact that Yulia beat Joanna. She deserved to win this night. In fact there are many other nights she deserves to win as well. We have to realize that these are not Brian and Carmen days. There is no clear winner!

  • @obrkyl001 mind you...I was talking about Franco...not Oxana..so you are right. For me he is one of the (if not THE) best male dancers on the floor...but it takes two to become WC....Oxana is doing very well though... BTW I love Yulia most def. Still think that Riccardo and Yulia should had to be second though. They all are technical dancers so for me it's the total control and power of owning the floor as a couple and still look very relaxed. So J&M. nr 1

  • @Aphy1970 unfortunately then we disagree on that front. I don't think Franco is better than either Michael or Riccardo. Personally I feel like Riccardo is a lot more disciplined and controlled. Also, I feel like Riccardo is better than Michael. Also, I feel that R&J were a lot better than M&J in this competition. I feel they are a lot more authentic in their dancing and they don't lack control, technique and musicality. Not that M&J do but M&J sometimes lose that authentic latin flavor.

  • @obrkyl001 disagreement is good for the soul dear dance friend... keeps a healthy discussion going...I like that! *Aphrael blows a kiss*

  • @obrkyl001 Yes, I agree. M@J did not have the best night back in Germany. Nevertheless, for me they were still better than Riccardo and Yulia. In fact definitely M@J lost jive to R@Y. This is R@J best dance and M@J hadn't any chance to outbeat the USA couple at the very end of the competition. That is why M@R somehow rested on their (second place) laurels back then. See them back in golden position this year.

  • Aaaahh @WitoldBanasik my friend I see you are still making excuses for your M&J. You can make millions of excuses for M&J but that will not change the fact M&J lost to a better R&Y at world. How dishonest can you be when it comes to your M&J. They were beaten from the very beginning with R&Y winning four of the five dances. I have no qualms with your M&J they are awesome in their own right and they will win in the future as in the past but stop with your silly nonsense of the R&Y videos.

  • @IX19UT8O

The mere fact that you resort to childish wordplays tells me just how much substance you have in your arguments.

Somewhere amidst this fit of internet rage you've completely misread my writing. Point out to me where I said Riccardo's and Yulia's victory was unjust? Can you do that?

  • @IX19UT8O Mr Anonym I can clearly see you are persistently resistant to all kind of knowledge and good taste, so get on with your life and do not mind me any longer. Bye bye...

  • @obrkyl001 I agree Riccardo and Michael are more disciplined and controlled - that's largely due to the factor that the focus of their partnerships is on the ladies. But Franco has more responsibility to be 'out there' compared to the other two. While being less restricted, I still think Franco is very grounded and has great posture. I agree on the part of being authentic, however just compare the dancing 20 years ago - you can never tell what 'authentic flavour' means in another 10 years.

  • @obrkyl001 you mean Carmen Fearweather? lol

  • I dont believe M&J is defeated ... hic, I think, 1st is M&J ... haizzzz ... what's happened?

  • Go Franco and Oxana!!!!!

You are the best couple in the final

  • at this top level its really like picking through a basket of golden delicious - which they all are- very subjective sport

  • hahaha, Michael could not take it for the interview and left- so proud:)

  • R&Y really need to improve their paso if they want to stay on top. They looked a bit lost towards the end of the paso final, which happened a few times in the past.

  • @2astri

Thanks - but isn't it the cha cha song? I'm after the samba song - do you know it?

  • @xyf888 The samba song in the semi-final is the "Shaker Song" by Spyro Gyra.

  • From the next time, I recommend M&J boycott all competitions held in Germany. Lol.

  • Real fans of the R / Y, but they're happy to work very hard in the UK 2011.

The championship is already difficult. But the treatment is to maintain long-lasting champion. Is more difficult than most.

  • what is the song rumba in the final??? Please send a song to my email vitalgo@o2.pl thanks:)

  • Really? Results it's a joke... Samba: what the hell? The biggest cockup I have ever seen!!!

  • @MacZnik What's seems to be the cook up ^_^? Yulia and Ricardo only won in 4 dances.

  • set up??? at the last part, during the interview. Where's Joanna and Michael? Oh, cmon.... I didn't see them. Where are they?

  • how it is possible that riccardo and yulia are first???? but im very veeery glad...

  • I think it's amazing! The first time probably USA has won the WDC! And it took a Russian and Italian to do it!

  • all of us has our own choice if who's really gonna win in this competition...all of them are the best but then there should only be one champion ...i guess yulia and ricardo were very captivating that night.....let's respect the decision of the adjudicators.....it's been a tough job to choose the best among the best!!!!!

    yulia-riccardo forever!!!!!

  • If it was politics I am so happy and relieved that this sort of thing happens not only in the small small country I live in!! It's so bad here.. some of the competitors are even in the government bodies and in the commitees!!! But at the same time.. the best on the night must win.. it's not fair to place one couple first all the time.. it's boring and predictable! Also like others here have said.. some couples have it on the night and others just are missing the spark..

  • @evol003 I don't quite understand you statement saying 't's not fair to place one couple first all the time.. '????? If the couple is best and superb, the couple should win, not the opposite.

  • @chamcham212 I mean - if the deserve to win than fine! That's fair enough.. but sometimes I watch comps and there is a blatent winner however due to politics or the couples' 'reputation' marks are not always fair.. sometimes one couple just shines on the night and they deserve to win no matter who they are competing against and if they happen to beat the constant winner than at least it shows that judging is fair

  • gosh! I love Joanna. I love the way she dance.............. I don't know what happened in this competition, anyways let's respect them. All of them are the best, but M&J is really really the best! Congrats to the winners. I love MJ forever! :D
