Awww, they're NOT worthless. Spanish is so annoying, there are different terms and accents wherever you go. It's not like english at all. There's much more variety.

U know, I'm from Uruguay (tiny, little country between Argentina and Brazil) and if i go to Colombia, I'd have trouble understanding what they mean even if we're speaking spanish. Cuz they talk in a total different way than we do. We can relate to argentineans, but there's still a difference.

So, don't worry. :)

Good for you, then. ;) I love english, sometimes i fell like i can express myself better in that language, and i go "i wish i had been born in the US", or any country where the official language is english whatsoever, but then im like "no way, spanish would be a pain then". I once tried to teach spanish to a non-native speaker. And it was rough. And so i know, one thing is speaking a language and trying to transmit/teach it is a whole different thing. It's so weird. =P

although the english one is 'just translated' it is translated 'litterally' and still poetically beautifull - where many 'translated' songs have nothign to do with the original lyrics. i remember learning this version specifically to perform it as an original track that they wouildnt expect. brilliant tune ina beautiful language :)

I agree with people, the English version may be good but I like the Spanish version WAY better. For some reason, I like Shakira better when she sings in Spanish. I think she sounds better. She still sounds good in English, but in Spanish she rocks! :D

@leftyla well I think her voice changes because she has to adapt it to the pronunciation of english words, some vowels are more nasal or you need to place your tongue in a different position to get letters like the R. I'm latino too so sometimes we have really thick accents and we try to hide them :D hope it helps a bit.
