  • i think you could use some waits on the front

  • i do the same thing wid my farmall h

  • ...gotta have a lower range gear than that! ... ...

  • ya throttle her up,put some weight on the front,or CHANGE THE AXLE! A deere doesnt have that much torque! you are ......O WAIT......HE'S OUT. lmao...dog gone it.but im always right..

  • Throttle her up, put some weights on the front, or CHANGE THE AXLE! A Deere doesn't have that much torque! You are going to kill it! -_-

  • HOT ROD

  • he does

  • And that's why my grandfather always used a home made power trailer hooked up to the PTO, makes it much easier...

  • WOW! And there was I thinking he wouldn't pull it more than a couple of yards!

  • Tractor without towing front axle isn't tractor!!!

  • It needs more weight in front

  • AFTER THAT POOR DISPLAY I THINK THE TITLE SHOULD BE - "I WISH I HAD A SKIDDER"! 0_o

  • MORE THROTTLE, MORE THROTTLE

  • @surrynet That's about all has. Those tractors are designed to run at a low RPM. I believe something like 900 to 1100 RPM's is full throttle.

  • @083jules A friend of mine has a BIG Farmall Tricycle type tractor and it has TONS of power, he even enters it in nostalgic tractor pulls here in North Carolina. He has won against 4 wheel tractors in the size and weight class.

  • wtf look at this retard Front Axle! what is this?

  • @peoplehaterable Its called a row crop arrangement, and the thing it is attached to is something we call a tractor! ;)

  • @peoplehaterable The narrow front end was very popular up until the 50's and 60's. It's a lot easier to steer with no power steering, and the front wheels fit between a row of corn, with the rear wheels between the next rows over. When plowing it keeps both front wheels out of the rut you make, and it is easier to control.

  • Just a suggestion, maybe try a trailer with two sepperate axels, front and back, so you dont have all that hitch weight. That's the ONLY reason there was any trouble had in that excursion.

  • john deer baby,FTW

  • Nothing kills a deer like a magnum!!

  • Love those old JD's

  • Nothing runs like a Deer!

  • These A's ,I personally think, are the greatest tractor. I've never powered one out. Of course im not pulling a forest behind me but still... i think its the way the clutch works that makes it this way but not completly sure haha

  • @MontanaHighboy When the power strokes are right after the other, coupled with the large flywheel, they are designed to lug, and thats what they do best.

  • @mholm09 thank you for clearing that up for me haha

  • thats still pretty good you cant beat an old putt putt

  • my 431 massey ferguson would smoke that deere i wish i would of got it on video doing the steepest hill on our 290 acre farm with a load of wood this size and it was the most badass thing ive seen that tractor do dug a 2 ft deep ruts all the way up the hill and then the trailor got caught on a tree and ripped the tree down and ripped the trailor a new one.

  • Nice to see. I have a John Deere A narrow as well. Still does the job but we use a diesel MF mostly now days. I grew up using the JD A and a old Case and a Moline U.

  • light wheight buddy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • aww you should have left the birch!

  • your nuts thats a old jd you are going to kill it. use a skidder.

  • ya I agree, who does need a skidder?

  • maybe some weights in the front and RPMs up!

  • umm me

  • it's green that's the problem

  • you need a skidder

  • ya buddy!!

  • Clutch can be replaced for goodness sake people...I've seen plenty of these headed for the scrap yard, at least this one is still being used.

  • Buy a International Farmall , problem solved.

  • next time load lite & go often. John will thank you

  • You do

  • i guess thats why the have separate wheel brakes.

  • I shit my pants eat oreos

  • Dude if that's your firewood, How deep is your stove?

  • @TKHagedorn you cut it up idiot

  • How did you even get the tractor back there?

  • you need a sjidder because if u havent noticed that dosent seem to work real well.nice tractor tho lol

  • now you talk about dangerous...

  • you need one of those trailers that gets power from the tractors pto with some snow tires or chains

  • PTO must be for the cherry picker on the front of the trailer.

  • Who needs a snow plow? This guy!

  • @andymotl Never seen anyone that plows snow in the woods..

  • @Dualshock21 Ever heard of a trail groomer?

  • @andymotl Well, there is a big difference between a little tractor and a big trail groomer

  • @Dualshock21 Most trail groomers are small tractors but that's besides the point. Search trail groomer if you want to see both little tractors and plowing in the woods. You said you never seen anyone plow snow in the woods before. Well I have and obviously you have too. So which is it?

  • @andymotl Nope, trail groomers use belts not wheels, and that is a big difference. And i plow where there is roads, as you can see in my video. And i doubt you will get very far if you are going to plow snow with your truck or tractor in the middle of the woods with trees everywhere

  • @Dualshock21 wrong they use tracks... just how fukn anal do u wanna take this conversation anyways?

  • @andymotl He did get out there because it hasn't been snowing alot in that area, and because the trees is blocking for the snow that comes from the sky. And tracks and belts are mostly the same thing, i just used a different word, and you clearly understood what i meant by saying belt, so i guess it's alright

  • @Dualshock21 What I don't see this guy running into any trees. Do you? Hmm yeah I don't know what your watching...

  • @andymotl Well, that's because he ain't plowing snow. And he have cut down the trees that where in his way

  • @Dualshock21 I know a guy who has an old Osh Kosh 2-1/2 ton truck with a huge ass snowblower on the front that is powered separately by a screamn Detroit. He's ran 4x4 pieces of lumber through it. Chewed it up, spit it 30 yards out in the field n asked for more. My uncle just bought a new 3 point mounted snow blower n the company actually demoed it blowing/throwing a pile of class 5 rock across their parking lot. If your questioning whether or not there is equipment out there to get it done-yep!

  • @andymotl Yeah sure there is equipment out there, but the guy in this video don't have that hi-tec fancy pants stuff, he just got good old reliable john and his lumber trailer with trees on it

  • @Dualshock21 Yep and that's all ya need! Hey don't get me wrong I love putting our old 2-cylinders under load and letting the torque do all the talking. I just hate seeing people trash on em like this guys doing to his clutch. Fuck my grandpa would of beat em off the seat with a scoop shovel then made em shovel his way out rather than sit n harsh on the clutch like that! That's just retarded behavior.

  • @andymotl Yeah, this dumbass need to get his ass kicked for doing that to the clutch, i wonder if this john is still alive after all that beating it gets from that guy

  • @Dualshock21 You must not know as much as you think you do that is not hurting the clutch one bit.Next time you should know what your talking about before posting dumb things you and all the other people are making yourselfs look like idiots.

  • @scoshi1 Wholly crap, that's one mean comment. As a car mechanic i will have the honor to say such things, and i have changed about 100 clutches in my life, so i know what I'm talking about, if u drive your car or tractor with the clutch halfway in then you hurting the clutch. Are you saying that I'm wrong?

  • @Dualshock21 I'm not saying your wrong but in this case you would have to do this a long time before it do any harm.I am a mechanic for John Deere and have seen a lot of clutch abuse cases but this isn't one of them.

  • @scoshi1 Alright

  • @Dualshock21...people slip the clutch all the time on these old deeres without any problem. Only a 15 minute job to replace the clutch in one of these.

  • @79fordblake its not a 15minute job, takes a lot longer man

  • @Mtnbiker102...have you ever changed the the clutch in a old two-cylinder John Deere? I have three A John Deeres....its a 15 minute job to changed the clutch.

  • @Mtnbiker102 Not if you know the tractor inside and out

  • @Dualshock21 Do ya think that load would of pulled as hard as it did if some of that snow wasn't in his way? I don't know, maybe you could ask the guy that has to rebuild the clutch in that A? Ha! Cause at the rate he's going he'd be money ahead burning LP... or making wood when there isn't 2 foot of snow on the ground!

  • What does the PTO shaft going back into the center of the trailer drive? I see it but I'm unsure if its spinning?

  • @BIGTAZ351 Must be for the winch and boom.............

  • bigger wheels for trailer

  • lol hes funny! XD john deere are made for this! hey hey lol he need one for sure a skidder lol

  • who needs a skidder? yea but how long did it take you to load all of that up ?

  • Got a 520 and a 730D, they both don't know quit. Wide open is 1200 rpm.

  • but it is a nice tractor

  • lol a skidder could pull its ass ever were.and do a better job

  • cool it works

  • 3 rpm

  • Tough old brutes for a two lunger.

  • A Ford Tractor could do it!

  • Who needs a skidder? i think you....

  • @TheJammedToilet or bigger tractor

  • @TheJammedToilet LMAO!!! good one

  • Little counter-weight in the front would make that job a bit easier for ya.

  • thats what tractors are for pullin

  • Thats what im talking about, this is how logging is done. I have that same exact tractor but mine has a 3pt and we skid with it. But your trailer would go through the snow much better with a flatbed trailer axle and truck tires than those tiny skinny tires, just throwing that out there.

  • got diff

  • you, apparently...

  • It that a 60? We have one my grandpa bought new in '54. Dad says it was a skidding machine. The bolted a crossbar underneath and hooked the skid chains there to keep the front end on the ground!

  • @scottvanhook No its an A you can tell by the hood, stack placement, rims, & the way the frame is stamped.

  • that was pretty awesome.
