Pointer Sisters are terrific but after the big success of their previous album Breakout their sound seemed to lose something. This song has moments of clarity and energy but never quite takes it up to that next level the way that songs like Automatic or I'm So Excited did so effortlessly. Also, this was their sixth album with Richard Perry and his production fails to match the buoyancy of the earlier efforts.

Groovy song but nothing like the Pointer Sisters of the 70's! During their 70's recording days on "Blue Thumb" they had a very unique boogie woogie bebop funk sound that pretty much marked that era. These sisters have soul and we can hear it expressively in all of their hits throughout the years. They really spiced up the 70's flick "Car Wash". Richard Pryor played Daddy Rich and they tailed him in song. Classic piece of cinema there.
