  • @meh2199 who was he again? was that boxer famous during his time like Mike tyson or Ali? soryy but nver heard of that boxer.

  • @Selnitz Mark Breland.Won a gold medal in the 1984 Olympics, then turned pro where he won two vacated titles.Keep in mind this was during the tail end of the Marvin Hagler,Thomas Hearns,Sugar Ray Leonard heydays.Breland was a good fighter but not a great one.

  • @mario6sic6 loveeeeeee that line, best line eva!!!! :) lol

  • Best chorus of any of their songs - and they've had a bunch! Should have been such a bigger hit than it turned out to be.

  • i love their male impersonations never seen anything like it with theor deep voices they where great and we do miss june pointer she and her voice was a powerhouse

  • @TheBacktothemusic right on I do agree. .I love the sisters, still it was and never will it be the same without June, we miss you June. I also find it so amazing and so creative the way they impersonated men, they were so believable. I like Anita's shades/sunglasses. Anita was so serious in her male impersonation. hehe............

June and Ruth were both perky and cool in their male impersonations. :)

I love them Pointers. I can never get enough of them.

  • Who is the boxer in this video?

  • Very discoooooooooooooo

  • I'm not really a Pointer Sisters fan but I LOOOOOVE this song. Easily their best.

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • @paulben08 More like DOUBLE AWESOME!!!!. One of the best tracks of the 80s.

  • Sing it, June!

  • @LuckyCharmStudio June's vocals are so strong.

  • The Phantom's Revenge sampled this song for "I Can't Loose" :D

  • @Burner2K0 So did Junior Jack with "Stupidisco".

  • I have never seen the video clip before and at the beggining I thought they were men and I was like. OMG THIS IS SOOOOOO GAY!!!! Happy I was proven wrong :P

  • My favorite song from the Pointers Sisters!!!

  • somthin yall don't know about all yall do is listend to justin bieber all day

  • Pointer Sisters are terrific but after the big success of their previous album Breakout their sound seemed to lose something. This song has moments of clarity and energy but never quite takes it up to that next level the way that songs like Automatic or I'm So Excited did so effortlessly. Also, this was their sixth album with Richard Perry and his production fails to match the buoyancy of the earlier efforts.

  • Listen to Junior Jack...STUPIDISCO!!!!..this is where they got it from....

  • @dutchy1176 who cares?

  • @JessyBellah ...you do,obviously.....or else you wouldn't have put forth the effort to ask me that.....

  • if I was a pop singer I would love 2sing this cool

  • Mark Breland was gorgeous!!

  • Cheers Nitro1970! I always got mixed up with the members.

  • @BomberAceF7 - Me too...For the longest time I thought it was Anita that had the deep voice :-)

  • @Nitro1970 Nay!! :) That would be Ruthie the eldest Pointer Sister. She has the red hair in this video, but I figure you got that already. ;P

  • Which one is which???

  • @BomberAceF7 - June was singing lead (RIP), Ruth had the White hat on in the beginning and Red hair in the end, and Anita was in the Grey suit and had Blue hair in the end.....

  • did you encode this on the back of a horse or something

  • I loved how all 3 of them sounded together.

  • Song was the SHIIIIZZZZZ!!!

  • RIP JUNE - - Woman is the shit.

  • Love this. Got the 12" in my record collection.

  • iabsolutely love the pointer sisters. they really were the fashion icons of the 80's. i wonder where they arenow.?

  • man i grow up in the 80's love the pointer sisters so much i really had a thing for june pointer for some reson ..............R.I.P. love u girl real talk

  • This was a superb song by any measure - and one of their best videos too - ah, the good old days!

  • Exquisite 80s dance-pop with a funk edge!

  • This was a great song, but it sounded a bit outdated by 1985. If it had been released in '81 or '82, it probably would have been a much bigger hit.

  • junior jack at 1:19

  • Childhood memories!!!!!!

  • junior jack (stupidisco) bonne version

  • they just don't make em this cool anymore....:(

  • Awesome!!!

  • Still such a great track, marvellous. Great quality upload, too - thanks!

  • The late June Pointer sang lead on this one. June, Anita, and Ruth--they were great!!

  • I want a Goddamn concerted effort to come out of a fucking record that isn't an up tempo record every time I do a Goddamn death dedication!~Casey Kasem

  • I Love This The Pointer Sisters 1985 Music Video, "Dare Me," Which Became The #1 Dance Hit In America.

  • the 80;s we were there!!

  • Went to #11 on the Hot 100 in September 1984.

  • june looks like eddie griffin with that hat & mustach R.I.P.

  • @aynek33 yeah but how bout wesley snipes? :) we miss you and love you June.

  • the pointer sisters music was a staple in the 80"s this song is the bomb

  • people dressed really funny in the 80's

  • this song is soooo hot1 who's the long haired stud in the gym?

  • @justjack78 Steven Bauer, the actor. He always was in cop shows in the 80s and 90s. Hes actually Nicaraguan I think, but he never played latinos

  • @metsdudenj Steven Bauer was in Scarface! Never played latino, God I am too old.

  • @metsdudenj Steven Bauer was in Scarface! God I am old for remembering that.

  • I forgot how hottttt this song is! I never saw the video.

  • @kpitt1204 good memories...:D

  • c'mon... dare me.. FABULOUS! =D

  • some of the hottest females on the planet.. cheryl lynn, mary j blige trina donna allen stephanie mills angela winbush....

  • i wish they'd re-edit this video with that remix. it's a hoot they're all in total man drag. LOL!

  • Pointer sisters di alright with this one. I recall it fondly with the corny video.

  • GENIUS, the only word to describe this video. You better not be foolin'.

  • So good music, fantastic vocal performance and very grooovy...80's rules!

  • this is sooo eighties

  • I always loved the Pointer sisters!

  • good song

  • This trio is simply fabulous! Not even Destiny's Child could come close.

  • too good!

  • the ultra fantastic pointer sisters - wish they would again perform ...... perhaps even with the chambers bros.!!

  • tHEY just don't rock out anymore like these gals DID!

  • Love this song , manny from scarface is featured

  • haha what is this?

  • Great beat in this song....MORE fantastic `80`s music on my channel!!!!

  • What is the name of their last album and single? I think it was on Motown.

  • Fucking awesome :)

  • It' so good!!

  • June is an inspiration

  • @Ruggerbear she is truly missed. The music world lost a good one with her passing...and so did the sisters!

  • Ruth Pointer looked like Randy Jackson of American Idol here with those glasses on with less weight than before.

  • june really does look like a guy in this video

  • Hahaha damn this video is comedy, but love it.

  • I've loved this song since it came out way back in '85. Great melody, Terrific vocals by June & her sisters and One of the funkiest bass lines ever. They don't make'm like this anymore, but they should.

  • Great Song.Love Mark Breland in the video.great amatuer fighter and my idol as I boxed in the N.Y.C. Golden Gloves.Brings back great memories.Love the pointer sisters.

  • So they are drag kings in a gym with straight male boxers so does that make this video a homo erotic i mean they are trying to act like straight men but its so gay and weird

I love the 80s rubber foam snake rollers oh my god the hair

I love their vids they are freakin insane TOO MUCH COCAINE

  • amazing song

  • whats the name of the clip they played in that big gym with all the girls and 1 guy in it?

  • these girls r awesome

  • The Pointers always had a great career, but 84-85, they were on fire! And they were in their mid to late thirties. And how about double threat Mark Breland, with the boxing and the acting? I remember thinking coming out the Olympics that he was going to be the greatest ever, but he still had a great career, 35-3, with 2 world title reigns

  • I love the beats to the song. I love the intro too all the way through.

  • bass was pretty good they were sexy say hi to them...royalties

  • those keyboards were good

  • I love this... I'm gonna go in the studio and re-do this song!!

  • reminds me of been in a nightclub in 1985! bring them days back!!!!!

  • Casey Kasem got really pissed off once because after playing this song on his show, his producers followed it up with a long distance dedication request for a family whose dog died and requested Shannon by Henry Gross which is REALLY sad song and was all wrong after coming out of such an up tempo song. You can find the profanity laced tirade here pretty easily.

  • @thunderstruck665 Is Don on the phone?!?! For years, Kasem denied that the incident occurred...kind of like Bob Eubanks used to swear that the "in the *ss" response had never occurred on The Newlywed Game.

  • Which trade magazine's chart, varaques? Not Billboard, my friend! Their only soul #1 came in '75 with 'How long'.

  • this sonq is the best!!

  • Mark Breland, former welterweight champion of the world! I was six when this came out!

  • the song is catching and the video is so natural, not pretentious, thank God for those times...

  • love it, love it, love it!!! i can't get enough of it!!! the blond boxer is hoooooot, aaaaah!!!

  • @izabelanissi OMG her breast Ruth's is falling out I can see her nipple !! LOL!!!!! They left that in!!! LOVE it!!!!

  • Out of the 56,352 views of this video I think I'm 34,974 of them lol. I can't get sick of it!

  • I'm the majority of the rest of them, I watch this like a million times a week!

  • looooove it

    <3 80's

  • this song was number 1 on the r&b charts

  • This has got to be the best , if not THE BEST songs the Pointer Sisters ever made. Why can't music sound this great today?

  • @immachildifthe80s. oh no there will never be another group like the pointer sisters, but at least we still can dream of a super group like the one i stated to carry on the legacy. just a dream.

  • @farbeit89

fantastic group from a great era the 80,s

  • @sensual1213. u r so right they don't make em like this anymore. just good ol fashioned talent. imagine mary j blige, fantasia & jennifer hudson forming a super group like this. it'll be intresting.

  • @farbeit89 all 3 of those are great but no where as half as good as TPS.

  • I didn't even know this is where Dave Armstrong got his vocal!

  • @LexDuarte Yep and they never got any credit/royalties!

  • june (sing it with feeling, why don't you, girl!) & the sisters are totally kicking this track's ass!

the vocals are slammin, the chessy '80s drag & choreography are perfect, the concept is fun & creative, & the funk-influenced classic '80s production sound is still bumpin 25 years later!

they don't sing like this anymore!

    love those sha-na-na-na-noo-nee sisters!

(anybody else remember that from when they were on the gong show?)

    R.I.P. June- we love you.

    thanks for posting!

  • Ca, c'était quelque chose. It stays a very nice tune.

  • I'm loving the boxers in the background dancing with the sisters. I didn't know boxers did group dance routines.

  • Was this video suppose to be funny? It's hilarious but I don't know if they meant it to be.

  • They did know. I saw an interview with Anita once where she said this video is "hilarious."

  • June was awesome.

  • #11 pop #6 r&b #1 dance

  • @ericbuchanan I'd agree with it being #1 on the dance charts. This was the same month where Eddie Murphy's "Party All The Time" The Eurythmics "Would I Lie To You?" and Lisa Lisa and Cult Jam's with Full Force "I Wonder If I Take You Home" were also burning up the old school dance charts but everybody who loved the dance of 1985 apparently agreed that this was the most requestd. how many weeks did this sit on the club play charts?

  • one of them looks like Eddie Grifin :D

  • Ha ha! It's the teeth!

  • wonderfull

  • Comment removed

  • I really miss the Pointer Sisters, they were awesome.

  • Especially June. She was so much fun to listen to

  • wheres nasty nance?

    i love her

  • What a concept for a music video! Who the heck thought of this? Great song regardless. Makes me wanna shake my thang.

  • Steven Bauer sure looks hot in this video!

  • I always thought that June looked like Eddie Griffin in this video, does anyone else think that too?

  • I see it! How funny!

  • Junior Jacks Remix is Rocking this song!

  • joe negro and phantoms revenge also remix it

  • Groovy song but nothing like the Pointer Sisters of the 70's! During their 70's recording days on "Blue Thumb" they had a very unique boogie woogie bebop funk sound that pretty much marked that era. These sisters have soul and we can hear it expressively in all of their hits throughout the years. They really spiced up the 70's flick "Car Wash". Richard Pryor played Daddy Rich and they tailed him in song. Classic piece of cinema there.

  • A great song For Rihanna to do a remake the words fix perfect for her and Chris Brown HA HA HA!!!!!

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
