I actually think that when Bruce played with them, he was great at strectching out the boys...Brent was so damn bluesy, at times his playing got too electronic but he had such a great voice...Keith added his own styling to the music, that holds it own

ughh, i strongly dislike chimenti on keyboards. he plays strictly keyboards the whole time, no organ, or sound effects like brent and vince used to use, that's one thing that made the dead so great

@survivorman4 haha, u'll find no argument here brotha. how cruel of an irony is it that some of their best years musically were the ones cursed by donna's screeching banshee cries? just thinking of her howling at that one part in Playin in the Band makes me cringe, lol u know the part I'm talking about.. although i must say, i got the chance to chill with her for a nite about 2 years ago and she is just about the nicest lady ever, made me feel kinda bad for talking shit about her all these years

The great thing about this band is not just how awesome they are under the influence (I was SO fucked up at The Dead shows in 2003 and 04) but how awesome and talented these guys are musically. I'm totally sober now, rarely if ever smoke pot now, and was bone sober at my last Furthur show and I still had the time of my life......Thanks for 45 years of great music :D

last night they played a little over 3 hours. well the intermission was like 45 minutes actually so they played less. but they ended right at midnight. These concerts are fucking rediculous btw, its not just like a bunch of old people there are mad hippies there tripping balls and selling crazy shit and smoking pot everywhere, even though the place was no smoking lol
