For all those who are viewing this video: This raag is Sugandha, and not Madhuvanti. I am student of Pritamji's, and he clarified this with me recently. He too believed that it was Madhuvanti, but it is actually Raaga Sugandha. So, basically, I believe that the introduction of the komal nishad is what changes the very raag.
This raag is not Sugandha, this is very much Madhuvanti, it just uses a little more komal nishad than normal. Raag Saugandh (not sugandha) is another raag where the weightage of komal and shuddha nishad is equal and is sung a little different from traditional Madhuvanti. I agree Pritam's madhuvanti is a little different than others, but its still is very much Madhuvanti. Madhuvanti with only Shuddha Nishad is called Ambika, Madhuvanti with only Komal nishad is called Hemavati.
@swarganga Oh. Pritamji himself told me that it was Sugandha, as I was about to sing his bandish "Naiyya Karo mori paar" in front of Bade-Guruji. But, curiously, who is this? And how do you know my nickname?
Just an amazing singer. AacharyaGuru Shri Pritam ji is one of my idol's.

I find it interesting that you use both Nishads, Pritamji! Any special reason?
