It provides a stable national government. We don't need to put together unwieldy coalitions, as in European countries. Every 4 years, the voters get a chance to 'vote the bums out'.

Katrina was the citizens fault as much as it was the local/state government's fault. The Federal Government, especially Bush and Co. were not at fault. Most people don't know we live in a federal nation. That means States then Federal government get involved. The gov of a state has to ask for Federal assistance. The gov wanted all the glory, but found out it was too big a disaster for her to take care of on her own. By the time FEMA got involved it was already to hell. So dummycrats blame bush.

For example, I live in the "Republic of Oregon" and was born in the 'Republic of California." The system is written into our Constitution, so it would be difficult to change.
It provides a stable national government. We don't need to put together unwieldy coalitions, as in European countries. Every 4 years, the voters get a chance to 'vote the bums out'.

Katrina was the citizens fault as much as it was the local/state government's fault. The Federal Government, especially Bush and Co. were not at fault. Most people don't know we live in a federal nation. That means States then Federal government get involved. The gov of a state has to ask for Federal assistance. The gov wanted all the glory, but found out it was too big a disaster for her to take care of on her own. By the time FEMA got involved it was already to hell. So dummycrats blame bush.

The local government decided to confiscate guns. You missed the whole reason i posted. We live in a federal system. The president/federal government can't come into a state until the governor gives permission or ask them to come help. FEMA was waiting, but the state government waited and waited then when it was too late they asked for help. Bush's constitutional duties are few and none of them have anything to do with natural disasters. You're still blaming bush when i pointed out the truth.

Don't you think that shows where his heart is? Bush and the Republicans are to blame for much MORE than Katrina. Then there's people like Pelosi who are more RepubliKrats.... why is impeachment not on the table?

I agree with you. I just am sick of the Hate Bush train. It is also good to point out that FEMA dropped the ball when they took over after the governor asked for assistance. Their crimes should never be forgot. There was plenty of blame to go around for all levels of government, but Bush is not the one that was directly involved in any way. FEMA, State, Local and the citizens all share the blame. They won't impeach since they like the laws that bush and the democrats have passed since 9/11.

I respectfully disagree. While it=true that Obama=a gr8 politician, new Dem success comes from the ground/organization. Obama's=easily the most honest P/VP campaign of my lifetime.

If it's an actual untouched photograph, yes. If it's a Photoshopped piece of artwork, then it's nothing more than propaganda for whoever made it (and I mean that about both sides), and may not be worth half a syllable.
This video was pointless except as a tool to whip the already converted up into a fever of demonization. I mean, if it was really trying to make a point with all of those New Orleans shots, where was Nagin?

Well this video is filled with untouched photographs that do in fact illustrate a point. It's just a point you obviously don't agree with; however truthful nonetheless. And the Photoshop-ed images convey an opinion about Bush and his regime that is relevant to the artist and his or her opinion. I just happen to agree that Bush and his evil war-mongoring cronies are the physical incarnation of Satan so this video makes perfect sense to me. Bravo!

Well it must not have been too pointless for everyone to be posting comments about it. It evokes emotion whether you agree with it or not... that's the point. It very well may be propaganda, but it's my propaganda. Although, I found all the images from Google Image search. Yet images of dead children from the Iraq war and protestors getting clubbed down from militarized police is hardly propaganda. It's the truth. And as far as Big Brother is concerned, you're on it right now.

And another thing, the New Orleans images seem to go well with the lyrics... "rhythm of the rain was crashing up above, stars were shining so bright". Again another POINT, to place images with the song that attach meaning to the lyrics. After searching through countless images the video began to take on a life of it's own. Nagin has very little to do with Big Brother and the Feds have everything to do with it. Art is the point, and it is always subjective... So are politics for that matter.

The way things in the country are going right now (the bailout, the failing economy, etc.) are going to influence the people into thinking that democracy is failing, therefore they will demand a new form of government, which could eventually lead the the formation of the North American Union. They have done nothing except taking our rights one by one since 9/11 (ex: The Patriot Act).
