I quite like the satirical take on it, by having him do the reverse of what he should (presumably thinking he's "doing his part"), might have been funny to end more with a "Don't be a Matt" type statement, but hopefully clear enough what the real message is! ^_^
There are many of us making real efforts to reduce our energy consumption on a daily basis, but what we really need to do is put pressure on the companies and politicians to make changes! Take action today!
i'm not that crazy about the reverse message thing. i guess the car bit was him sleeping while the car was idling, tho it sounded to me like the car wouldn't start--confusing, in my opinion.
i'd rather see something straightforward, where you don't have to guess what the message really is. especially if the intent is to educate an audience that may not be well informed about best practices. a novice to climate issues may get the impression that what matt's doing is good for the environment.
Not so sure about this one. Didn't really do it for me - but I guess the point is made clear: our actions do change the climate, and our actions can bring it back to safe levels of carbon concentration. Shout outs to Grist TV, though.
I love the scene where he switches the incandescent lightbulb for the CFL! Great expression.
Still, changing minor, individual actions like that arent the point of these global action days. Its about creating a larger movement supporting wide-spread changes, like whats going on at the international climate talks in Poland right now.
fair play this is an informative video and if it helps Someone to understand how they can help the environment then all the better.

There's also real, on-the-ground action going on today. Check out the global climate campaign's website.

No more "grass roots" action for me, thank you. Top down is what we need now.

Pretty funny.
I'm sure there are some idiots out there who will misinterpret this as encouraging waste.
