This about blew my dogs mind. She is 4 1/2 months old and a Tricolour Pembroke Corgi. It has been proven that whales actuallly DO sing songs. A song can be defined in it's simplest form as a series of repeated notes. Long recordings of whale songs show that they can sing a perfectly repeated series of notes. It is not obvious to the human ear because each 'verse' or 'chorus' if you like will be sung for an average of 15 minutes before the whale cycles back to the beginning and sings the exact same thing over again. That's why it doesn't sound like a song to us - it's too long!
