  • 4:02, the Portal!

  • 1:20 that transformer got a bonner

  • this looks like something out of portal

  • @blackmesa25

well its still in use look at this: watch?v=0VXyDB2uFbI

i did not make the pictures you can find the webside in the video info

  • Is that place abandoned? The equipment looks rather old and neglected but I find it strange that they would leave it all there if it wasn't going to be used?

Surely it would have a high scrap value?

    When was the place built?

  • @soundseeker63

it is protected only authorized personnel can enter this area.

it is built around 1967. 1:13

  • Это испытательный стенд такой?

  • Unbelievable. Someone spent a HELL OF A LOT OF MONEY to build what? a spark generator? well...

  • @samoht1977

Unbelievable. You don't even consider the possibility of this very expensive "spark generator" having a meaning. It's obviously made to create artificial lightning. Why? So that scientists could do some research. On how the motherfukcing lightning works and how we can protect ourselves and our electronic devices from it. Or maybe even control it. Same thing with the even more astronomically expensive Large Hadrone Collider. Go read a book.

  • @NafanyaZX come on dude, I was sarcastic! I see they use it even to test the effect of lighning on airplanes...

  • WOW, I wish they would put that stuff on Ebay!

  • Very Tesla-y. Also... at first I thought that that was literal LIGHTNING. o.o must move there...

  • High voltage and trance music in one! all right!

  • SEHR GUTER ZUSTAND :-D

  • @Scheusch abkaufen?? :D

  • the thing at 1:21 is a 600kv DC tranceformer!

  • Get these things up and functioning somehow. Plan the trippiest, most euphoric rave in history, 24 hours straight, with the best DJ's from around the world. Then make a killing from the DVD recording of it. I'm sure even at $1,000 the crowd would still be clamoring. Then use the money to slowly restore the place.

I'm only half-kidding, but it's still a cool thought though.

  • @kasteman1

Very nice idea, but eccentric enough its already in function.

it seems every thing in rusia looks like its not in use for years.

well if you succeed notify me Please :)

  • would be nice if it goes back to work...wanna see this things working...7 mega voIt marx...that wouId be crazy to see heII yea!

  • @XOROHN here is a video about the the marx @ 5% of the power .

    watch?v=0VXyDB2uFbI

  • @20kilovolt Iooks nice...but how impressiv must it be when it turns to 100% of his power?

  • watch?v=0VXyDB2uFbI&feature=sub <<look at this :)

  • Even seeing this thing inactive and through a Youtube video it scares the crap out of me but... high voltage it's just so fascinating! I would have seen this thing in action...

  • True Free energy devices exist,But Millions are spend in supressing that information,Get a motor that needs no gas or electric input at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Join the revolution!

  • Man what a waste id be unbolting those caps and hauling them home.

  • Russia makes the coolest stuff. What i would not give to visit Russia and explore for about a year at least.

  • 1.2 million joules! instead of a can crusher you can make a semi truck crusher, No, something bigger I bet, anywho

  • @juniortore1

an LPG truck would be nice :)

  • @20kilovolt sounds good to me!

  • @20kilovolt tank crusher

  • What was the purpose of those generators?

  • @TomozukiII

This facility is for testing all kind of stuff like rocket an aeroplanes

or electrical components/equipment during a artificial lightningstorm.

and for measurements about the maximum distance of high voltage powerlines.

    and many more scientific projects.

  • @20kilovolt

Thanks for the info :) Is it still in use?

  • @TomozukiII

I don't know but i think the marx generator still works

it don't need the peripherals to operate.

  • @20kilovolt

Thanks for the info :) Is it still in use?

  • just jerked off :P

  • @UOATAOU

ok and you didn't clean it?

no wonder everything is rusting away :D

  • What an awesome research center. As an HV enthusiast I hate to see this part of history going to ruins. Very Impressive to say the least..

  • It's the Darma Initiative headquarters!!!

  • It totally looks like the facility's still under power. I wonder if someone could fire up this beautiful equipment! :)

  • 5:30 emp research?

  • @LordDonib I would not know what the purpose is of this part of the facility.

the neighbor facility (Аллюр) is a very big EMP generator its able

    to make 10 x 10 x 10 meter of EMP wave's.

Аллюр is not visible in my video.

    watch?v=-9xhbMclcCw

    watch?v=3T9lwg436Oo @ 4.40

    its the white structure.

  • бляяяяяя охуеть!Наши дураки это забросили!

  • what an amazing pile of rust.

    1:20 robot wanger?

    sorry im stoned.

  • @AENIMA42069 yes it is, do you wanna try it? XD

  • Tesla would have been proud.

  • @BarneySaysHi yes he would and I think if we had free energy he would be verry proud that was his master piece energy for everyone

  • this facility was also used to measure electromagnetic pulse on

    airplanes and other stuff

  • Why the sign is in Russian?)

  • @GingleGangle1: perhaps they write russian in russia?

Slideshow of the high voltage testing facility in St.-Petersburg & Novosibirsk, Siberia. In my opinion thats in russia^^

  • Comment removed

  • @666odin88 I meant after this frame which sad "Dresden Germany"

  • @GingleGangle1: The transformer at 1:08 is made in germany,

the high voltage facility is in russia.

  • @GingleGangle1 "Slideshow of the high voltage testing facility in St.-Petersburg & Novosibirsk, Siberia." Quote from description, Siberia is a region in Russia, northern I think.

  • That place looks amazing

I wonder if it's still operational

  • Is all this just sitiing there doing nothing now???Ungruarded??? If so what a waste of somthing so good!!

  • you are so right.

  • @yamumishot2001 i think this facility is still in use, however I may be wrong.

recently I saw a video about toxic PCB's this could be the reason

why this facility is in a poor condition..

    (info about pcb's) watch?v=FZU_VB7B9gQ

  • Amazing! All those corona hoops and rings makes the site look alien.

7MV seems unfathomable. Huge gear to accommodate such a high potential.

  • @dzodzer: yes this side look like a UFO refuel station :)

The high voltage of 7 Mv is achievable by multiply 250.000Vdc 28 times.

  • The SCALE of that place is brilliant! What a construction! Quite odd how you can see blocks of flats in the background though! Fannnntastic! Thx 20Kv!

  • Thank you dividebyN for you response.

  • Comment removed

  • Very cool, but why? Certainly this much money wasn't spent just to make a large spark...

  • This facility is for testing all kind of stuff like wings of an aeroplane

or electrical components/equipment during a artificial lightningstorm.

and for measurements about the maximum distance of high voltage powerlines.

also research about electromagnetic pulses are done here.

to measure the behaviour of electrical components while exposed to EMP's

    and many more scientific projects.

  • I have a project at work right now that includes lightning tests for a new aircraft component. I didn't realize this facility was built for doing such "normal" work! Thanks.

  • it looks abandond lol

  • recently there was a test at this facility so its still in use.

  • It's really a pity if the facility continues to be abandoned. They should service the stuff, and keep it going again for educational, physics experimental and touristic purposes. Many students from schools or universities would like to visit the place if they could.

  • Seriously? wow..Would love to visit a place like this if it wasnt so far away, love HV facility..

  • Nice pics. Many years ago I worked at a 100K Amp test facility and we used to blow stuff apart. It was a fun job.

  • yes music gives to this movie 90% of beauty:)

  • that is beautiful music playing over the slideshow

  • thanks.. the music is from: cygnus x - the orange theme

  • Increible¡

  • hahah and another top secred facility and secred i nevek known do you known other cool stuf secred by goverment too pepols ?? xD

  • ...what the fuck did you just try a and post?

  • you are moron realy fuking one read my mesage again and think hah you cant think

  • Incredible...i wonder if this generator can still run?

  • I think it still work! really!

  • haha for russia is this BRAND NEW...lol

they know exactly how 2 work with that...(wodka)

  • Now, thanks to 20 kilovolt I found the both facilities and marked them as my Google Earth places. One day I'll go there to take some photos!

  • thanks for your response sasho54.

btw i found another high voltage test lab with the same transformers

in germany. google earth origin: 52.541411° 13.251630° /watch?v=i90gHhXYQBQ

  • Thank you. Is that the same facility, where a woman is sitting in her car while a lightning strikes it?(The video is called 850 kV).

  • yes I recognize the white marx tower.

850 kv is not the maximum power of this facility.

i think this facility can create 5 Mv.

  • This is a /mark TUR 1967 era wireless electrical generator plant , you dont have them in America because everything you get from your Gov. is metered ! we no pay for any eletrical power and have no wires into our homes Until NOW we are all American and pay for power wires everywhere my pwoer bill was zero for my lifes now 400 rubals every month ! I like old way better but this is freedom? America has Tesla power but you are not allowd to have now like us !! Boros

  • There is any video this generator working?

  • I have only seen pictures of the spark.

but if i find a video of it i informed you.

  • OK. Thanks a lot 20kV!

I've seen at you profle you're interested in Tesla coils. Well I'm assembling one, it's working well but needs some ajusts and improove another things.

    Hugs.

    Pieper

  • Do you know teslamap57 its a program to calculate your teslacoil components

  • Huuumm! No I don't. But thank you. I'm going to look at this program- very interesting. When I assemble it, I tryed and tryed many times to be a resonant circuit (capacitor bank and primari winding).

    Hugs

  • what i can say its genious

  • Absolutely fantastic. Thanks for sharing.

  • In the near future I will place a videoclip with object photos in the city of Istra.

  • Kamikadze2009 i have seen your awesome slideshow.

thanks for place this at youtube

    i enjoyed it a lot

  • when was this place built? and by the way TESLA REALLY DOES RULE!!

  • Built in 21.10.1943 by USSR Academy of Sciences

  • Half of photos is make at us in St.-Petersburg

  • Thanks for your Comment HedgehogTH

I saw you live in St.-Petersburg so I thought maby you can film this awesome location

if you can do that you will make me and a lot of people very happy.

  • Yes, here as there are photos of branch of Moscow VNITS ВЭИ located in the city of Istra situated near Moscow

  • wow upsets me that they waste this expensive equipment! if i had a truck i would have taken one of those huge capacitors or maybe a transformer!

  • Fantastic, but sad. To see all that wonderful HV equipment rusting away.

  • @RyuDarragh,

    Yes, like everywhere in Russia....

  • So... did you fire it up for a test run too??? shit i would have =)

  • Impressive and terrifying place! What an awesome filming location this would make!

  • Everything is perfect in this video, the music is unbelievably appropriate. Although the manier humans can treat technical devices and abandon them is horrible and makes me cry seeing all that in such a condition!!!

  • How much do you think each of those capacitors or resistors is worth? (if they were new and being sold at a store).

Also what are those corugated cyclinders (the brown ones at 3:13, or the clear ones at 3:08)

  • it's an porcelain insulator.

  • How did u get those pictures of inside?

  • all the url's can you find by "more info"

ther are a lot more pictures than in my movie

  • Why is it abandoned ? Another victim of Soviet Union breakup ? Or just not needed any more ?

  • i think it is still in use but it's to expensive to operate

  • VEB Transformatoren und Röntgenwerk Dresden

  • What are they used for

  • This facility is made for testing electrical components during a lightningstorm.

    and other scientific projects.

  • nice music, nice pictures, im guessing its not in use anymore, thats sad, if they had listened to teslas reseach you wouldnt need all of the marx step up systems, just specially designed tesla coils like wardenclyffe. wardenclyffe would generate voltages above 30 million volts - 100 millionand even more than this!! poor tesla . great video thank you, places like these should be made into museums with running devices! thank you

  • Nicola tesla whas ahead of his time.

unfortunately a lot of his work is lost :C

  • hey man i put up a bunch of stuff on his wireless energy transfer if you are interested. thanks for this video, did you make the music, i love that so much, really well written!!

  • You have a nice channel about Tesla's articles very interesting.

for more pictures from the 7 Mv marx generator look at more info.

the music is from: cygnus x - the orange theme

  • Its strange, after his death all his work was impounded by the FBI or something. Didnt he come up with some kind of way of shooting down ballistic missiles before they were even invented?Rob

  • its basically the laser! now we have them 100 yrs later! tesla even shows a ruby laser in his bulb research! that was 110 yrs ago! its sad!

  • ahh thanks i couldnt remember. i read it in some mystery book thing cos of the confiscation.I know he was financed by JP Morgan the railroad billionaire. And he was wokring on wireless electricity and some kinda way of matching with the earths magnetic field frequency to generate limitless power or something?Rob

  • As far as I am concerned, Nikola Tesla was the most brilliant person who ever lived. I like what he said once at a worlds fair "I could split the earth like an apple".

  • Nice music!

  • Yhis music is like ideal for the purpose.

  • amazing fucking giant thing! wow!

  • thats just sillyVolts that

  • i found another one

    watch?v=rr0m3aTLssY&feature=channel_page

    it's only in negative

  • If it was abandoned then nothing left there in first month. We are russians and we love free goods))))

So this facility is probably guarded.

  • I almost shit myself when I saw that Marx generator.. 896 energy storage capacitors? insane. Just one of those caps provides an enormous amount of energy!

  • hell kittchen yea?

  • If this place is abandoned, would it be possible to get some capacitors out of there?

I think those big caps would be rather expensive to buy and it would be fun to do HV-Stuff with those^^

One of these caps would store around 1367 Joules @125kV, that would be cool.

  • I want those capacitors too ^_^ and the resistors. I bet you could get them there really cheap.

  • Its a shame that place was abandoned and now down to ruins, its the biggest marx generator ever made.

  • I have the same feeling about this place.

its very sad to see the high voltage equipment to destroy.

    thanks for watching

    20kilovolt..

  • I agree too. Amazing construction and nobody cares

  • so fucking cool, thats just amazing

  • What an amazing facility

  • thx for your response.

i like this place to i hope ther is an movie of this area. here are some origin's for google earth: +55° 55' 7.15", +36° 49' 8.00"

    next: +55° 55'26.15", +36° 49'10.97"
