dont mean to sound like such a nerd :-) however i want to answer your question...in the third episode yoda tells obi wan that his master (Qui Gon) has learned a way to become one with the force and tells obi wan that he will teach him it...I read the books :-) even more of a nerd of me and it reveals it a little better in there haha
