  • I know that story about colmbine this girl named rachel was one of the first ones to die that's y at my middle school, Falcon Middle School they have this thing called Rachel's Challenge

The shootings happened in Colorado Springs and it has been 13 years since Rachel was dead

wow that's as old as i am :/

  • I love this song, I understand the meaning, everyone does, we don't need everyone repeating it 20 times.

#SheSaidYes is a good book if you want to read more about Cassie's life.

(Love the book. Title has no spaces.)

  • Did you know that Cassi was shot in the face before she could say anything and the killer never asked her if she loved God or not. i am not hateing on this song because it is one of my favorites ^-^

  • And I will pull the tigger

  • Do you believe in god

    Writen on the bullet?

I say yes and pulled the trigger.

I answerd him knowing what what happen

My words remain hanging in the air.

    And I pulled the trigger.

    RIP Cassie and Rachel

  • this is a good song but the quality is poor. no hate though......

  • omg i remember having a guess speaker for Rachels Challenge jus 2 months ago!

  • this song used to make me cry

  • Rachel wasn't asked, but Cassie was,Rachel was the first dead though, because she DID believe in god, they were eating lunch together.

  • Heard this song on sims 2,had to check it out

  • I hate religion but I LOVE FLYLEAF even if this song is influenced by it.

  • This is so sad!!!!<33

  • As a christian I must say, this song is AWESOME! :Q ..Excuse me *wipes the drool from my mouth*

  • dreamwishergirl yes that is right thats what she did

  • isnt this song about the girl cassie that was an athiest and then she eventually went to church and became a christian and a guy witha gun pointed it at her and asked her if she believed in God, and if she said yes, he would shoot, if not, no, and she said yes and was shot and killed?

  • @dreamwishergirl noo. its about the Colombine shootings. She was supposedly asked "do you believe in God?" by two teenage boys who were bullied and just snapped. Rachel was one of the first shot, but she supposedly was not asked the same question

  • omg my name is cassie

  • this happened two months and five days before i was born. Cassie is an inspiration to all Christians. She will live on in the hearts of every one of her Christian brothers and sisters

  • it's not about columbine. it's about when a man shot up into a amish community and he asked two girls if they think he will be forgiven with what he've done and one girl said yes

  • @Rosaline45251 actually i looked up the song meaning it is about columbine. Some people say that the kid who shot her walked up to her and sai "Peek-a-boo" and shot her. I for one think that is no more than a rumor :P listen to me i sound like a wise freak XD

  • Proud Pagan and still listening to Flyleaf.

    Pagan pride. <3

  • this gave me goosebumps... the columbine HS shooting is really tragic.

  • Why didn't they name the song Cassie and Rachael?

  • total christian babay!! ;D

  • Bible humping banshee.

  • Are there more songs in where she screams?

  • @StAnCeClAuSe

'I'm So Sick' Is a pretty good song where she screams beautifully :) <3

  • @iiluvsyooh55 Yeah but that seems to be the only one. =((

Need more here, I'm drownin. Something like let live by mice and men maybe?

  • @StAnCeClAuSe

There's also 'I'm Sorry' and I'm trying to remember more or her songs that she screams in. :o

are you just looking for Flyleaf scream songs, or are you trying to find chick screamers?

  • @iiluvsyooh55 Kinda, but I like her deep lyrics that go along with her screams.

  • @StAnCeClAuSe

I feel ya, man, Hard to find deep songs with powerful voices..

  • soo sadd

  • Lovess thiss

  • u say Justin Bieber,I say Three days grace

u say Taylor Swift,I say Flyleaf

u say Lady Gaga,I say skillet

u say Miley Cyrus,I say Evanescence

u say T-Pain,I say Linkin Park

u say Emenem,I say system of a down

u say Jonas Brother, I say Papa Roach

    u say Flowers,I say Godsmack

92% of teens have turned to pop and hip-hop.If you are part of the 8% that still listens to real music, copy and paste this message to other videos. DON'T LET THE SPIRIT OF ROCK DIE!!!

  • @LilMamafatazz i listen to both though..soo what does that make me? 4% of the 8% of the 92%?

  • 60 people said "no"

  • Why the fuxk does it matter if your atheist or not oh my godd its so annoying. damn trolls

  • 58 people really suck

  • I don't even believe in god and I think this song is beautiful!

  • OK PEOPLE I AM NOT AN ATHIEST! BUT I DO BELIEVE IN GOD! I AM A CHRISTIAN! AND THIS BAND IS A CHRISTIAN BAND! thank you!!

  • well technically Eric pulled the trigger..

  • When I Read About This I Cried My Eyes Out I Was So Upset I Wish I could Have Done Something About that!! No One Needs Their Life Taken From Them Just Because They Believe In God!! You Wanna Know What I BELIEVE IN GOD!! I Love God He Is Everything To Me About When I Read About This It Just Tore Me Apart! I Told My Best Friend About This And She Couldnt Believe It!! These Two Girls Are My Heroes!!(:

R.I.P Cassie and Rachel!!! You Will Be Missed!!

  • @SuperJessicacullen Amen sister Amen!

  • @SuperJessicacullen I believe in God too... Actually after thinking about this song one night, I had a dream and I was in church and someone had a gun and said sit down if you don't believe in God! And then people sat down but I stayed standing. They asked again and I sat down... But that was a dream.. I wonder how I would react if I were in such a situation. I feel so bad though, the poor girls should not have had thier lives taken based on what they believe. Sobering shit right there.

  • if she wouldnt of said yes she wouldve lived her whole rest of her life with guilt knowing she denyed god. I AM SO PROUD!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • sorry:(

  • too low i hate this i want the real one:(

  • Comment removed

  • Holy shit this song says my name. :D I didnt know this song said Rachel.

  • @NeonMomentum Its not supposed to say Rachel If you look up the real one it doesn't say it. ... Just saying.

  • @LaConchaTrave1994 It pretty much means she pukked the trigger because she answered yes when she could have lied to save herself so in a poetic term she pulled the trigger

  • There is a book about it . If you haven't read it, it is definitely worth it.

  • @carleybree1234 whats the book called?

  • @Reach4skillz She said yes

  • My neighbors loved this song so much, they invited the police to come listen to it

  • audio is horribul

  • It sounds like Cassie and Rachel were the shooters instead of the other way around...does that make sense?

  • Im soo confused, people are commenting that it was about the high school shooting, but its saying they offed themselves, excuse the terminology, could someone please explain this in a kind way?

  • Great song, very sad though..

  • I think we can all agree that we shouldn't have to listen to this song right now. The sound of the music fills my ears but I'm still having a moment of silence.

  • low lound it up

  • I don't mean to insult this song, but those rumors were actually confirmed to be negative. It came up because some other girl had been injured severely and said,"Oh, God! Help me!" and one of the guys asked her if she believed in God, and she said yes, and then they asked why, and she said it was what her family believed. So the guy made fun of her and walked away...

Columbine is such a good example of how bullying affects others. Their rage came from being made fun of.

  • I am watching people that they are proud that they are atheists! Please... one day you all will see the God! And then?? Please... see some of christian videos and you will understand! Sorry for my bad English ^_^

  • that storry is so sad :((((((((((( it makes me cry i was crying like 5 pages through the book...

  • @jfooza What book?? O.O

  • This isn't about suicide people. -_-

It's about the Columbine shooting in Denver, Colorado.

  • @XxBrookletxX i know i saw the video and omg i was completly speechless

  • I wish people would stop talking about Cassie and Rachel. Eleven more people were in alot of pain too. And I wonder which story about this shooting is right...?

  • where did rachel come from!

  • @bluewatre

Rachel also died for saying yes to that question

  • @bluewatre

Or if I'm to believe what I hear, she was the only one who answered that

  • I'd say no.

  • then i guess i would be dead cuz i wold have sead yes i believe in god

  • I love this song, and I am a proud athieist. Love it. So sad. I mean, it's about a shooting but it's good. I Wish that those fucks hadn't shot people, though.

  • @XBreakfallX Sam here

  • @TheEpicAwesomenezz *Same here

  • But heres the thing. If u had a loaded gun pointed at ur head, knowing that any moment you could die, but were given the chance to live, would u give your life to them? Now i know many of u will say yes to show ur love for god, but think about it? All thats on ur mind is to live and see ur family and friends again.. U will never know what u'll do until ur put into that situation. And i admire these girls for standing thier ground but heck i dont know if i could ever do that or not..

  • Comment removed

  • what they believed in was God!!!!!! if yuhh wouldnt stand up 4 God even if yuhh would die ur a bitch and u will be band to HELL!!!! if you wouldnt stand up for God then he did the rong thing CREATING YOU!!!! if the other ppl at tht school didnt say yes then its very sad!!!! R.I.P cassie and rachel!! </3

  • Can people please start using the names of the killers because they weren't just2 boys they had names2 they were Eric and Dylan What they did was wrong yes but Lacey even said in an interview that she could relate to them as well and if she had gone2 Columine she would have been friends with them They were bullied into it Lacey says the song is about how Cassie/Rachel stood up4 what they believed in But she understood were Eric/Dylan were coming from they were victims2 just dealt with it wrong.

  • It's a good thing Cassie believed in God because now she's in heaven. That's the bright side of it anyway. :I

  • @bigfootstewie WAIT DID SHE DIE???

  • @monkeythang yep. that's what was in the description

  • They died in the Columbine High School shooting in 1999.

  • I want to make this song my life <3

  • okay no matter what religion you are NOBODY WANTS TO HERE YOU BLAB ABOUT IT. we want to listen to the song. end of discussion.

  • can someone explain the meaning of this song? like who are cassie and rachel??

  • @joesprings1324 if im right, they were 2 people who were at a shooting were these boys had gotten fed up with stuff at school and brought guns to school and shot kids and teachers. i know at least one of the girls was shot dead

  • @joesprings1324 they're victims of the columbine massacre.. two boys arrived in their school and shoot the students..cassie was the one praying in the corner then the boys shot her and rachel was asked if she believe in god, she knows that if she'd say yes she'll be shot and if no, her life would be saved and then she said yes... and they shot her ^^)

  • @joesprings1324 Two Boys brought guns to school and shot ppl okay? got it so far? Cassie and Rachel go to the school with them, Cassie was heard praying in the corner and was shot 2nd Rachel was asked "Do you believe in God?" and if she answered "No" she would be spared and she answered yes. Because she wasnt ashamed in believing in God... So they shot her... in a shooting a long time ago sad right if i keep readin it ima cry...

  • lol this is why i love being of jewish faith i never have to preach doesn't that get annoying? is it as annoying to go to my campus and hear the Mormons and Christians preaching things like ur going to hell and such i mean wtf where not listening we dont care and if we do talk to u its only to make fun of u ^^ ty and have a pleasent day oh and for thoughs who say im going to hell....cant go to a place u dont believe in *sticks out tongue and laughs

  • @Lexidevil666 im catholic and i got nothing against you being jewish. and trust me when i say we catholics get yelled at too for being"over religious, pompous a-holes" trust me when i say i feel ur pain! this is just a song that can really be interpreted however you want. my aunts atheist and she just thinks its catchy ;p

  • guys some people jut dont know what to believe in i mean no one knows any thing for sure so just be ure religion and let her be her own

  • fuck im atheist and l Listen so shut the fuck kids

  • @TwistedIn2b1tch jeez don't get ur panties in a twist. all u have to do is ignore the comments.

  • @TwistedIn2b1tch We can tell by how angry you are. XD

  • @TwistedIn2b1tch Improper Grammar. Makes me sad to see dumb rage comments like this

  • @TwistedIn2b1tch Same here!

  • @TwistedIn2b1tch Ok... We're not telling you NOT to listen.. In fact.. Listen to it more.. Maybe you'll understand it.

  • @TwistedIn2b1tch Calm yourself child...

  • @Kimmeh310 is this live

  • who is cassie?

  • @GlennBeckfanward She was one of the victims of the Columbine shootings. She was hiding in the library with her friends who were praying while Harris and Klebold were in the library. Allegedly, before being shot she was asked if she believed in God, and answered "Yes." However, according to most reports, she was killed before she could say anything, and her friend Valeen was asked the question instead. Valeen was injured but she survived the shootings.

  • @ABookwormAndProud thanks thats a cool story.

  • Well, my real name is cassie and i didn't pull any trigger!!

  • are there two different versions of this song or something? cause I've listened to it a lot. And i don't remember them mentioning Rachel in the song or the quiet part after it.

  • @Essebesgirl14 It could be any, she believes in God (Cassie) and thats all that matters.

  • I take Rachel Scotts challenge.

    R.I.P Cassie.

  • gosh i love her music

  • Isn't this song about Columbine?

  • I love this sog but reall bad audio sorry

  • Valeen Schnurr was asked if she believed in God. She said "yes" and was then asked why. "Because I believe and my parents brought me up that way." investigators said Valeens was the only encounter in the library where anyone was asked about God. None of those who thought the question had been asked of Cassie actually witnessed it, they only heard it and, it is suggested, heard Valeen's voice, not Cassie's. either way cassie and rachel were amazing people and should be remebered as hero's.

  • @dblec2812 are you insane?! hero?! those poor girls died as victims of their parents idiosity! they had become so indoctrinated with the belief in god that they could not bring themselfs to say no in the face of death. They would rather die than say a single word! ONE, ONE SYLLABLE WORD! and they chose death. i would lie myself a 42 years old pedofile chatolic minnister if it ment saving my life! either those girls where being treated so badly that they wanted to die, or they where brainwashed.

  • @Krobeles WHy can't you let people believe what they want? Religion isnt a bad thing and they KNEW they would be shot and they STILL didn't deny their faith. Imagine how many OTHER people may have been asked and said no because of fear. They didn't say yes because of idiocy, they said yes because they loved God. Know, I am not very religious, but I don't understand why you feel the need to hate so much. It was their choice and they chose the right answer in their minds.

  • @RenaRyuguuChan same reason your not allowed to kill yourself. they comittede suicide becouse of their religion, so that effectively makes religion shit in this - and allmost any other - scenario. and yes. they did it bcouse of idiocy. they didn't do it entirely out of 'love for god'. they did it becouse of they believed a better life awaited them after death. something they had been tought their entire lives were true. now they're rotting in the ground, and they famillie is still sad...

  • @Krobeles Why should I even respond if you can't use English?

  • @RenaRyuguuChan i know Danish, English, and some Spanish. and i dont even study languages. what do you know? English..and...? nothing? i thought so. even so, you still understand what i write so that validates my point. if you cant come up with any logical response, then just admit you where an idiot to argue with me in the first place....fucking Americans...

  • @Krobeles I made my point, you just felt like arguing still. My point still stands.

But if it will make you feel like a big man, fine, I'm an idiot (though my testing proved me to be smarter than 80% of people my age. Yeah, idiot) and you're a racist. problem solved.

  • @RenaRyuguuChan how am i a racist? the mayority of Americans are still white, and most Americans (not just the white population) are still over-the-top patriotic, stupid fucks with a bad education. there is the odd exeption of course, but if the mayority can be placed under a certain description, its not racism. its fact.

  • You are racist because you are speaking of things you don't understand. Most of American's aren't "over the top patriotic" like you claim. Unless you are in the south., then most of us are rather educated, unless they don't want to be I'm not saying America is the best country ever, but it isn't like you try to make it. And what about if I call my self an idiot like you wanted this would end? It's like talking to a religious person;no matter how much reasoning i use, it wont matter

  • @RenaRyuguuChan look up the defenition for racism. and yes, americans are badly educated compared to, atleast, the Danish. i know this becouse a friend of mine went there recently and being a few years yonger than the universiti students she went to class with while, she was still far, far smart than them. i could be mistaken on the patriot thing, but how then do you explain the public approval for the millitary budget? and how is this like talking to a religius person??

  • @RenaRyuguuChan And ya know what? I'm actually NOT American! I am originaly from England! Sure I live in America now, but not by birth. Get your facts strait before being prejudice.

  • @Krobeles those girls DIED FOR THEIR FAITH and both came from very supportive families. They were completely comitted to God and so they deserve to be admired. Even at the face of death, they still were brave enough to say that they believed in God.

  • @TheSmileGirls simply put: no. Faith in something that only exists inside your head is nothing to be admired. and standing up for your belief in the face of certain death is certainly NOTHING to be admired either. doing that is a flaw in your most basic survival instincts, and it serves those girls right that they died. i might sound alittle crazy here, but seriusly. read about the gene pool and you'll realise that if those girls had had children they would have weakened the human race.

  • @Krobeles I understand your point but you also have to take in to consideration that some people have different beliefs than you. If you would lie than that's your choice but your beliefs aren't the only one's in the world. Believing in god isn't from being "brainwashed". I think it's disrespectful of you to be so critical. But what does my opinion matter anyway the only way you will respond back to the is by being a jerk and calling me insane :)

  • @dblec2812 well, i hardly think your insane. but you did a wite tremendous amount of bullshit in that comment of yours. yes its disrespectful of me. so? if i proclaimed that Cthulu was real you'de probatly laugh at me and be disrespectful, so i am acting compleatly naturally. your opinion matters pleanty. if i can convince just a single person (a feat i have yet to truely acomplish) that religion is compleat bullshit, i'de be a very happy person :P

  • @Krobeles not once did I even say that I was religious cause believe me I'm not I just think those girl are freaking amazing for standing up for something they believe in. I know way to many people who dnt stand up for themselves. Do I think what they stood up for was right? Heck no but they thought what they stood up for was right and that's all that matters. It sucks that they died for it though but they are amazing.

  • @Krobeles Well awesome im not insane. and i hardly said i was religious cause trust me im definetly not. I just think they are amazing for standing up for something they believe in. Most people wouldn't. Do I think what they stood up for is right? hell no. but they are kick ass for standing up for themselves. R.I.P

  • @dblec2812 if the thing they stood up for had been mass murderers, rapeists, and pedofiles (or any other not thing not directly associated with Chtistianity for that matter. say, Cereal?) you wouldn't be saying that. In this sense, your a religius person becouse you attribute a special kind of respect for peoples religions. furthermore you dont know if they where total douchbags in person. its idiotic to say they where awesome people for standing up for their religion.

  • @Krobeles I used to believe in god but i have a really hard time saying i do now for my own reasons. And i would stand up for cereal so yeah...got you there haha no. when i say that i think they are awesome for standing up for themselves i mean in the way that they embraced their beleif in religion. See I take it that you don't belive in anything religious what so ever so like if you were to outright say it and be ridiculed for it by all christians then i'd admire that too.

  • @Krobeles we could seriously go at this all day haha. You should just be a lawyer or something in debate. im pretty sure you'd win everything. not gonna lie I kind of feel that by commenting back to you i dug myself a grave.

  • @dblec2812 hehe. thank you. even if i didn't convinc you entirely, i am kind of happy for that one comment. thanks mate :D

  • @Krobeles haha it's true. you throw some really valid points out there. finnally we agree on something haha.

  • Can people quit arguing whether it was Rachel or Cassie or whoever!?! The point is, those souls were deceased and she used someone's name. Besides, we weren't there, so how would we know? Can't we just say they all died for God? It'd be easier. And back to the point. They died in a school shooting, we should honor them. They're in heaven now, with God's arms around them. They're safe now. And they have honor. So we should quit fighting and just honor the song and the victims. R.I.P. Comlumbine

  • im reading the book she said yes; that the parents wrote about her.

  • Wheres the bass :s ???

  • A Rachel's Challenge speaker visited my school not too long ago and told us this story. I accept her challange to start a positive chain reaction, so that the suffering that Rachel and Cassie's school went through doesn't happen again.

  • @Shuukara they came to my school today

  • wow the story behind this song just made me love flyleaf eb=ven more

  • The song is about a guy who asked her if she believed in God and she said yes and he shot her

  • i think they all were so brave to face bullet, they new that by answering truthfuly could lead to their death... things like this happen and i feel my heart being ripped out... all 13 of the victims and their families must have gone through a horrendus time the parents of the students might have thought "what if i had let 'Nicola' stay at home ..." questions like that wont ever be answed...

Rest In Peace. ALL of you

  • there are so many sotories it's confusing

  • In that kind of situation I wouldn't blame anyone for what their response would be.I hope Klebold and Harris are the ones who are paying the price.

  • This song is a great example of belief, and I admit I'm not the best Christian, but this song is so true. I know I'd say "Yes," and I can only hope she's in Heaven right now, listening to this song and smiling at God.

  • The Song is about Columbine. A girl named Cassie Rene Bernall Was shot for answering Yes, that she believed in God. There is a book called She Said Yes by Misty Bernall. =D its really a great book

  • hey dont anyone bash me but can someone tell me what the songs is really about?

  • @mysteryrockssssssss It's about the Columbine shooting or whatever, when two boys killed thirteen people. Cassie was one, and some believe that one of the boys asked Cassie, "Do you believe in God?" to which Cassie replied yes. The boy shot and killed her. Rachel was the first to be killed. No one is sure if she was asked if she believed in God or not.

  • @Passerbygrrl oh ok cool thanks

  • Oh Nvm. I just read the description. Lol.

  • Is song about the Calibine (didnt spell that right) school shooting? Cuz at my school last year we got tolded about it and how a strong girl named Rachel was shot after answering the question if she believed in God. We have a club at school called "Rachel's Challange (Start A Chain Reaction)". This song reminds me of that every time I listen to it. :(

  • my name is Cassie XD well my nickname is but im normally called Cassie

  • lol this song reminds me of myself cuz my name is rachel.....

  • @thehotcherry101 lol minnes Rachel too....I'd say yes.....

  • Ugh will people shut up? This song is about a horrible shooting by some retarded hypocratic idiots years ago, we get the story!

If you're so stubborn about your faith, preach somwhere else! We should be disscussing the song here, not our religions! And sheesh, whats wrong with being atheist? (not that I am, its jsut annoying seeing a load of hypocrites!) I don't judge other people faiths, but its super annoying.

  • Comment removed

  • @Smileypenguin123 i doubt you would say that about them to their faces on that day.

  • @Smileypenguin123 I agree. I don't think that anybody needs to be defending their religion or hating on others religions on Youtube. Youtube is for listening to music and watching videos. If you want to have a discussion about faith, go out into your towns and evangelise there. We all need to respect others religions, just as they need to respect ours.

  • cassie was never asked the question. she was overheard praying in the corner and was shot in the head. rachel was asked and responded "yes" then changed to "no, it's what i was told to believe"

  • @JackandSally4ever13 Oh, I didn't know you were there...

  • @JackandSally4ever13 That's actually not what I've read happened. A girl, Valeen Schnurr, in a separate area from Cassie was asked if she believed. She said "Yes." The killer then asked "Why?" She said, "Because I believe and my parents brought me up that way." That was the only documented and witness-backed exchange about God between a victim and the killers. Look it up.

  • @JackandSally4ever13 neither of them was asked cassie was shot under a computer desk after dylan klebold said peekaboo and shot her and rachel was the first victim and was just shot. one girl in the library yelled out said god help me please because she was shot in the knee and in a lot of pain. klebold then went over to her and asked her if she belived in god she said no then yes and he just said right and walked away
