  • inacreditavelmente perfeito!!!!

  • 1999 that makes him 26 years old! nice sound for a young guy...

  • how much does he charges per presentation???.... or event?... since when he was professonal?, thanks

  • Very nice singing! TY.James.,and MSS85

  • A really lovely performance. Lovely quality voice. I like sensitive people.

  • A very fine pianist + an outstanding singer = an excellent performance!

  • I absolutely love juan diego florez's beautiful quality. he looks down a few times too many at the beginning and my personal preference is to never have a hand on the piano because it takes from your performance and doesn't allow you to use your entire body to express yourself. Other than that, I just really love his quality

  • it's simply the best "Ideale" I've heard in Youtube.

I prefeear this colour of voice for this piece, is much more expressive, because for this peace you don't need strenght but feelings....

    Bravo!

  • To Pianosydney- The pianist , I am happy to say, is my nephew, Vincenzo Scalera. He is the son of my dear, departed older brother. We are Americans of Italian heritage from New Jersey. Vincenzo is also a teacher of young singers with the Teatro de LaScala in Milan and has been for several years. He has accompanied Carreras, Caballe, Sumi Jo and many other top stars. He is presently with Florez. . He is considered about the top pianist in the business today and we are so proud of him!

  • @danscalera1 you must be so proud of how he accompanies so sympathetically.

I heard this for the first time yesterday and will always remember the first time.

    Sublime. Thank you!

  • @Nicholacon Thank you for your kind words. Yes, we are very proud of him and we always like to see him get compliments and especially from people like you who obviously know and appreciate the performance of fine singers and musicians. Thank you again!

  • he's a better technical singer than valletti but lacks the colors that valletti brought to his singing as well as some of the excitement that valletti brought. I'm the first to wish my singing was as easy as Florez' singing. But over the years his voice has become a bit boring to me. It's almost 'too easy.' That's almost blasphemous as a singer and voice teacher, but I don't get chills anymore listening to him.

  • The size of the Voice Does not matter the purity of it is what is important. Alfredo kraus himself lived by this principle. Basically all people who truly want to be classical singers wish for a huge voice but you just have to use what was given to you. Jdf is just amazing to me and Opens Windows for other leggiero tenors to possibly shine in the classical world in the future

  • Beautiful singing and beautiful playing. Who is the pianist? He is very fine. I've played this wonderful song many times, and always try to make my left hand into a cello!, probably not so successfully, but it is good to try.

  • Bellissima voce di una qualita irrepetabile.Unica nel mondo fin"oggi.

  • The voice is lyric-leggiero and it is not small. If you had heard him live , you would not have made such a comment.

  • I've heard Florez live and the voice is light but not small. It projects and travels well. In his class of voice, he's the best I have ever heard, something I cannot say about other male and female voices active today. BTW, I go back to when Cesare Valletti, another fine artist, was still active. Kudos to Mr. Florez.

  • @AnastasioFranco On the contrary, I've heard many people say that when they have heard him live (and not amplified) that his voice is very hard to hear.

  • @seektheforce It is obvious either that they must have hearing problems or that I have super hearing abilities because I saw him in the Herodes Attikos open theatre and I could hear him loud and clear.

  • @AnastasioFranco He could have been amplified...

  • @seektheforce He could but he was not.

  • @AnastasioFranco At 1:29 you can see the microphone.

  • @seektheforce It is obvious that you know nothing about technique or singing in general and that this exchange of messages is pointless.

  • @seektheforce I've heard him several times at the Metropolitan Opera and can say that the voice carries beautifully, loud and clear. It penetrates the house and the heart with ease. Even when he sings softly. That's technique!

  • @seektheforce

That is not correct. I heard him in Essen in November last. I think he was not well, and I would say he sang in half of his voice and could be heard wonderfully. That is a ringing voice, you hear it always.

  • @urzulaz unfortunately not. I worked with him few years in Pesaro and La Coruna and he is hearable only in his higher "register". Am talking about distanced places in theatres. Although he is currently the best Rossini tenor. Plus the fact that his mentor Maestro Zedda allways showed the orchestras where to play soft that he could be heard. Any forte, not even fortissimo, was in fact erasing even middle tessitura. But he is quite nice guy at least. Personally i mean.

  • Que hermoso canta Juan Diego... orgullo del mundo, de los latinos... de los peruanos.

  • great!

  • yesssss...look my channel! xD

  • Thank you!! I want see more and more, If you have others plese post it!!!!!
