please view my midi fighter mix on my channel! i am a begginer dj and i just want to get some where with my djing, so please give me a chance and just view and like my vid thanks!!thumbs up so everone can see!
I don't understand what everyone is bitching about... these are gourmet midi controllers with amazing buttons that can be be mapped to serve any purpose. You could easily use one of this with any software.
@abcbadcat seems to be the RAC remix of "airbrushed", i guess the dj in the video just mixed some rap into it. that "one thing bout music" verse, by googling u will find that it could be the lyrics from drake, dead prez or bob marley (?)
I know this is probably a really shallow thing to say (if shallow is the right word), but i wish you'd make a midi fighter with standard dj controls on it because i love the way they look and i have no need for all those buttons....
You guys do realize that this is not an effects box, right? You can do any of the things they did in this video with any midi controller. You are basically paying for their custom traktor midi mappings, which only true DJ and audio production noobs would be excited about. Needless to say, most of the "cool" features can only be used with Traktor.
@nafixisntright You're paying for the controller. Anyone can download the mappings for free online. So, no, you're not paying for their midi mappings.
Well if those are free, then you're grossly overpaying for a metal housing with some arcade buttons (that are not velocity sensitive) and a couple of sliders. I'm not saying it's uncool or poorly built. But it is way over priced for some buttons and sliders..
Can you please post a tutorial on how to map FX's onto the MIDI mode of the S4, and how you mapped the FX on the jog wheels of the S4. I really want to know how to do this, but I can't seem to edit my Traktor Kontrol S4's mapping. D;
@eangolden lol thought ud be torn between cos on one side your business is the midifighters but on the other hand your also a walking advert for native instruments :P
@bassgeek388 can't really compare the two..this is for djing and the maschine is geared more towards producting (not that it can't be used for djing too).
Which version of this is best for aiding the creation of mashups? also, would it be beneficial to use this in correlation with other controllers such as an S4? can this be used in traktor 4 deck setup?
@eangolden yes all my questions are answered and i am buying a midi fighter pro !!! just one question. do i have to buy anything extra to un my s4 and a midi fighter with traktor at the same time? thanks for your help ean, you have great videos and great ideas!
In a perfect world, I'd have one of these set up with traktor, with my laptop plugged into the third channel of my mixer so I can mix normally then drop into beatmashing sessions every once in a while. Buuut unfortunately, I have to pay off my decks, by a macbook pro, AND Traktor, AND Reason 6, AND a 350 dollar midi fighter.. :(
@eangolden Please get a mapping up of these i wanna get a cue point masher but i need to know the mapping and its also sold up Ean whats up with that???
Its a great product. Im looking forward to ordering mine this week (beatmasher). The price haters just need to get a better job, this gear looks fun as hell. You pay for what you get... Im guessing all these "Nay" sayers have shitty tattoos as well.
MY opinion on the MIDI Fighter Pro: I fucking want it.
Cue Master - I love it but i think it would take a long time to set the cue points and samples to actually make a mix. That's the only problem. For a person like Ean, that would be perfect for them!
Beat Masher - I think would be on-the-go mixing because. Its a beat masher. Well yes you would have to set up songs and cue points and stuff but overall this would be the easiest. I want this one and I'm saving up for this one!
way to expensive, for what they do and for what you can get on the market this days, They look good, that's for sure but honestly $349 + Tax it's expensive
@xXDJcapdabblerzXx Don't get me wrong: the MidiFighter Pro is well designed and seems like a solid controller. The APC40 is about 50 dollars less, and has 110 buttons, 17 knobs, 10 faders. The Kontrol X1 is 150$ less and offers great controls aswell. The thing is, the MFpro and these controllers are not exactly in the same category, but the MFpro doesn't offer THAT much for the price. One thing though: it is a unique and great perfomance controller, but that doesn't totally jusitify imo. Right?
@plbenoit waoh i was not aware of the existance of those things but yea it is still unique but expensive, however i think it could be worth its price if you knew how to (and i wish i did) order the parts and make your own custom one with as many faders, knobs, and buttons as you want
Thanks for your feedback. I wish we could make this controller affordable for everyone but sadly, quality is expensive. We are using the very best buttons, faders, case, circuits available and everything is hand assembled in San Francisco. Its a great value compared to mass market products but yes- more expensive :)
Those may not be for everybody of course. But really and I know that's subjective in a sense, I think the price is quite fair actually considering the numbers of controls available, components and how the midi messages are sent.
With the cue master are all of the arcade buttons for effects or are some also mapped for cue points? I know that sounds stupid but iId like to know. I know you can map them in but I wouldn't want to delete anything pre mapped or buy a second midi fighter....
