I hated, hated, hated, Jill Phelps for not trying to keep Robin. It truly did not feel like OLTL for me without her, and in all of my years of soap viewing, I never felt that way when a popular performer left a show. Ok, I sort of felt that way when Marcy Walker left SB :) Anyway, thank god Robin is back where she belongs

She does own that painting today...that's a fact....I also heard she ad-libbed her last line on that recording.....not sure, if that's true or not, but I love thinking that she did as it really sounded like something the great Robin Strasser would have said on her last show......... I am just grateful she is back on the OLTL today as SHE is the ONLY reason I watch/tune-in nowadays........love Robin Strasser, the QUEEN of Daytime TV.......long may she reign.....!!!!!!
Dorian is such a power house, she makes watching One Life to Live fun and entertaining. She truely deserves her Emmy, and to be nominated more often. You can tell when new writers come to the show, they try to write out Dorian. It doesn't work. Robin was very good as Rachel on "Another World", but she is GREAT as Dorian on "One Life To Live".
To me, Dorian is intresting by herself. But she is made Awesome by Viki, who is made awesome by Dorian. If Dorian or Viki left, I don't know what I would do without the Lord women battling it out...
@Har19 I hate JFP good thing she now lives on the West Coast being the EP for General Hospital. I always thought that Robin Strasser refused to take a pay cut and that being the reason her leaving the show. But now I'm glad she's been back a full 7 years already.
The reason RS left was because of the bitch executive producer Jill Farren Phelps who was ruining the show and her character...(she had Dorian run over a pregnant Jessica and do nothing about it)...thats not the Dorian we know..RS got fed up with JFP and left the show...thank god she came back after that monster moved on to GH which is now in itself unrecognizable much like OLTL was during her tenure...I truly don't understand why she is put into that position when all she does is ruin shows....
February of 2003 for sweeps...she returned just in time to marry the resurrected Mitch Laurence...was one hell of a dramatic storyline..opinion differs on whether it was a good storyline in the long run...personally it made OLTL THE show to watch next to Y&R
@bacrane Oddly I started watching OLTL just after Natalie arrived and was a friend to Jessica. You nailed it with "one hell of a storyline". The way Natalie was eventually tied to Mitch's return, which brought back Allison, which brought back Dorian to marry him; more of Viki and her father's relationship exposed, and the possiblity that Jessica was Mitch's daughter. I wasn"t familiar with this show, but that amazing storyline really used this shows history and veterans. I was impressed!
Can anyone tell me why Dorian left I forget the reason. Also Clint Ritchie will most likely never return. A few years back he had somekind of accident and hia health is not great. I hear he has alot of issues with chronic pain. I also stopped watching oltl when Dorian left in 2000 having watched it since 94.One of the first scenes of Dorian's that I saw was when she and Viki got into into the fight in the Lord family moseleum.

Also I think Jerry Van Dorn is doing a great job, but Clint Ritchie will ALWAYS be the real Clint, and not just because his real name is Clint. I wish he and the show would agree that he should play Clint, and he would return. This is soaps, and as we know, never say never. Case in point, the original Tina(Andrea Evans)and Marty(Susan Haskell)just came back,now maybe it's Clint Ritchie's turn.

Thank GOD La Strasser came back. Frankly, I don't see how OLTL can function without Strasser or Slezak anymore.
