  • My Great-Grandfather Giuseppe Lucchesi's family originated in Lucca, but had resided in and operated marble quarries in Bedizzano for many generations.

  • @SaxonBrit

    ok, thanks for your post.

are you come from lucca in your live?

  • @masxsy Hi! no I have never been to Lucca yet. My Great-Grandfather came from Bedizzano (MS-CA) where he worked on his families marble-mountain quarries to America in 1914. His family had been in Massa-Carrara and working marble quarries since the 1400's when they moved there from Lucca due to feudal conflicts. In Lucca they had been a family of jurisdictive and political feudal status.

  • @masxsy I have a cousin with all the family records, so that would have the more information, but I believe the transition from Lucca to Massa-Carrara was in the 14 or 1500's because it was due to feudal matters.

  • @SaxonBrit

then do so as soon as possible

    bye
