  • Heavy Lift colors. It's probably crashed by now! LOL!

  • a real big one

  • Sky Crane is the best heli :) cool job

  • Beautiful model, lovely to watch. Thank you.

  • I like it ALLOT...

  • It looked like it was pretty small in scale.... until it passed behind the operator! Very cool!

  • Could it release it's payload? Wow!

  • Hed did not do it; so I don't know.

  • probably not.. i bet it housed electronics and stuff :(

  • yeah, there is another video of a red white & Blue one on here flying around & you can see the antena coming out of the payload so you're right.

  • Variants of these "old" aircraft are still used today. In fact, it is about the only precision heavy lift helicopter used here in the U.S. The chinook in comparison is rotten. Excellent fire fighting platform. This thing is is an "oldie" but a "goodie". Wish I could've flown these over Jetrangers in the army thats for sure.. but I would've had to have been about 20 years older ;)

  • also the highest safety record of any helicopter used by the US Military! Such a great aircraft, this RC is amazing

  • awesome

  • this is a RC model of skycrane and US Army used it for nearly 3 decads and now you can find skycrane in only museum.

  • NAY! some are still used in logging operations.

  • Or out at OG-58, Erikson Aircrane's hangar/base of operations, Erikson bought the rights to the design and builds them now, they are WIDELY used by them for logging and hevy equipment jobs.

I spent a good amount of time around them as a kid because my father worked for them for many years, there used to be one stationed at New Castle County Airport here in Delaware actually

  • It sounds like a vacuumcleaner!

  • that was a very nice model heli.

  • how csn it you fly an real gas turbine indoor is that aloud??

  • ...not as loud as You think.

Maybe like a big Truck, driving nerar by

    Think abot 95 dBa

  • WOW NICE

It Would Be Better In The Orange Colour

  • Fuckin wild mann... lemme guess... The Germans!

  • The actual heli?? no. Its made by sikorsky Ch-54 skycrane. Used during vietnam!

  • Actually smartcocker, the skycrane WAS made by Sikorsky but no longer is, its now made my Erickson. Basically Sikorsky made them at first, and their plans were then purchased by Erickson Air-Crane in 1992. But I'll give you half credit cause u were "Half" correct on your statement.

  • Ah! Always learning something new. thx

  • Hey no problem, I'm just glad you took it the right way, cause I was leary bout typing it. Most people get all piss and start verbal fights you know. I'm a helicopter nerd time, dads a pilot, guess where i get it from hahah!

  • Don't tell me that thing is flying indoors...
