It's not about preferences, it's about ergonomics. You should be using the chair for what it was meant for, taking a load off your back. Try sitting in a seated position against the wall without any support other than your knees and back. Tiring huh? When you are placing your weight so much on your knees and ankles instead of floating your feet and using gravity to your advantage, you piss away all your energy. Does that make sense? I'm not being an asshole by saying that. Just friendly advice.
