Im not sure if you realize it... but there arent really any cinimatics in HL2... its all playable aside from the opening and closing sequence. so there really are no "cinimatics" clogging up gameplay in the way Halo or Gears of War have cinimatics where you dont control you character.. every encounter with another character is live play and not a movie you have no control over. plus the really good puzzles came from spin offs like Blue Shift or Oposing Force, and HL2 has way more story built in.
