BTW, like the pic of the dolphin holding the fork -- nice to have a helper along, huh? Amazed by the number of barnacles -- is that why you had the big pouty lip??? Or was it cuz you knew you were going to miss Tuvalu?
Roz, awesome slideshow, especially for your very first with iPhoto '09! Don't let the others get you down about the transitions, though! iPhoto has a *TON* of cool built-ins, so take advantage of them! The pics are fantastic, and knowing that these came from your camera, through your Mac, to YouTube and thence my Mac, without any publishers or editors or muckity-mucks in the way, makes this so much more personal! Thanks a MILLION for sharing! (AlphamanS)
Lovely photos. The transitions are damn impressive if that's just a basic iPhoto function. *But* it means that there's too much time transitioning and not nearly enough time to see the pictures! Wonderful to meet you in SF a few weeks ago, Roz.
To elaborate--the photographs are stunning or cute or funny--all good. The repeated graphical trick interferes with one's enjoyment of the photos. The music, well, it goes with the graphics quite appropriately. Being an old geezer, I think I would have resonated more with something that conveys the quiet, the long stretches of time seeing the same thing, something that communicates your experience out there in the middle of the Pacific for weeks and months on-end. And, this is fun!

Slides are great but why would anyone want to watch the ghastly transitions?

Awsome! :-) The pictures are amazing by them selves but less appreciable when polluted with overwhelming transition animations.

I really enjoyed your slides. I've followed your Pacific row from the beginning, and it's good to see some of what you saw. Thanks for posting.
