  • For all of you making fun of this unless you've been through it (I have) please don't turn it into something comical, it's not funny

  • @MariposaGirl1981 I have been raped and I still think sexual harassment is funny. Please get a sense of humor.

  • It would have been a more funny ending if he'd kept going until she was 3 inches high, and then after taking a sip of..., whatever, she makes that end statement in an eency weency voice, as he laughs and spits what he's drinking, like a "Three's Company," sitcom.

  • I remember when this first aired. For the next few months at school we were parroting that last line every time someone accidentally bumped into another person in the halls (we were 11). For that it ranks as one of my favorite old commercials, along with the "Help, I've fallen and I can't get up" lady and the Sally Struthers starving Ethriopian commercials.

Oh, and it's not from the 80's, it's from 1994.

  • They should just have shown the Sonic Sez video. It's more effective.

  • I never forgot this commercial for some reason... I'm so glad someone posted it, I say that quote all the time lol.. it's not funny... but I still do lol.

  • @britrob24 Same here -- I actually looked it up because I couldn't manage to describe it without sounding like I'd been on drugs thanks to the way she shrinks (besides, it's hard to convey in words just how sleazy that dude comes across)!

  • He should have poured some hennesy on that ass and licked it off. She would have took it.

  • It's a shame she didn't shrink down to waist level, it could make certain jobs easier for her.

  • "We're talking about sexual harassment...and I don't have to take it"!

"Yes you do, bitch! I'm your boss"!

  • is that the girl from blade runner?

  • @ChrisWestaway No, You're thinking of Sean Young.

  • Yeah u tell him bitch

  • Does anyone actually say this in the workplace? I mean even in the 80's did bosses say that directly to women? Damn that's just ridiculous lol

  • Love his face at the end. He's like 'You fucking bitch! "

  • lmao @ Korey from Spill making me remember this PSA. It was the favorite commercial of my cousin, who passed away last year.

    LDT

  • I wonder how many men are now afraid to even talk to a woman now.

  • @ThunderSooner2835II If you can't tell the difference between this and normal conversation, you probably shouldn't talk to anyone.

  • I remember when this came out. While I appreciate the message and all, the acting was a huge joke to everyone I knew. The main line that's sexual harassment and I don't have to take it sounds like it was read straight from a queue card. Priceless moments lol

  • Don't make people small.

  • Hahaha I can't believe I remembered this commercial, and then I actually found it on youtube!!

  • 3 Employers are upset that their female employees don't have to take their sexual harrassment.

  • this video reminds me of the story about how my parents met

  • "That's sexual harassment, and I don't have to take it!" OK then, you're fired. ROTFLMAO.

In all seriousness...suppose the genders in this video were reversed. It would be a whole different video.

  • @antodav yeah, we call that porn.

  • This explains my ridiculous 3 foot 5 inch height...but I don't have to take it!

  • This was my favorite advert & it really made me think about sexual harassment. My friend & I always joked about this ad but i think it worked.

  • Aww man i remember watching this as a kid and not getting it!!! LOL i miss the old commercials.

  • @txff2002 i thought the same thing. i think i laughed at it anyway when she shrunk

  • man they don't make PSA like this anymore.

  • This is how I learned about sexual harassment as a child.

  • lmao...kids today are missing out

The funniest thing about this is that only people that were kids when this came out remember it

  • I totally remember this commercial. I had to be like 7 years old. They must have ran it for many years if I remember seeing it. I found this by googling this sentence: "It's sexual harassment and I don't have to take it." That sentence still sticks in my head, but if I make jokes off it I'm afraid people won't get it!

  • DITTO! This is my memory of tv in the late 80's/early 90's... i say this line alllll the time and people totally still laugh at it. i miss those days...

  • I remember this PSA! We would quote it when I was a kid all the time

  • in soviet russia, sexual harassment violate you

  • In United States, nuclear weapon drops on you! *chuckles*

  • Holy shit that was cheesy......

  • I remember seeing this on ABC on Friday nights as a kid. Love the ridiculous "uppity bitch" look on the sleezeball's face at the end - so typical of people that have little respect for women.

  • That mothafucka's a rapist!!

  • what ever happened to sweater vests?

  • My boss told me I'm not using all my assets. When I asked him what he meant, he said that I'm just not really asserting myself to my job mainly because like anyone else I'm already thinking about how I want to spend the rest of my day and I'm understandably more concerned about real life rather than my work life. I told him I understand where he was coming from, and that I apologize for being that way, but I do appreciate my job and company. He thanked me for my time, and parted ways.

  • Yes, only us straight women appreciate unwanted come-ons from sleezeballs, especially when said sleezeball can easily retaliate against us if we rebuff their advances. Screw respect, bring on the catcalls!

  • They played this video all the time growing up. This video is THE REASON I have a negative connotation with the word "assets". I think b/c it is the first time I heard the word and this guy is creepy.

  • Sexual harassment violates you.

  • I laughed.

  • "You're not using all your assets". What assets was he referring to? I don't think she is uppity, just assertive. I'm sure if he continues this behavior, she would contact Human Resources. She should record the inappropriate comments he makes regarding her appearance, if the law will allow it. She should remind him that being sexy is not part of the job description, and even threaten to call HR about it.

  • Stop taking it so seriously, jeez!

  • @BayAreaBiker2001 The truth is however that attractive people do get paid more and are promoted faster than ugly people.

  • lmao. If that guy saw the outfit women wear today, he'd propably stfu XD

  • I'm Rick James bitch! /Bitchslap

  • The man was the one who should have shrunk and then she could have stepped on him!

  • That's the basketball coach from Above the Rim!

  • the actress can be sued if she performs this sexual harassment at work or other women doing it to men cause it does apllie to women and not only men good luck ladys

  • This commercial made me laugh as a kid - not because I thought the message wasn't serious - but because she seemed to react so coldly and calculatedly to his totally sleazy behavior. "I don't have to take it." Any truly liberated woman would have kicked that slimeball in the jimmy.

  • a good old fashioned "fuck you!" would have sorted this....

  • LOL.

  • thats sexual harassment and i don't have to take it.

i remember weeing this shit when i was really little.. i don't think i really understood it but i did think it was fucking RIDICULOPUS!{Pkdf

  • Prude.

  • Hahahaha, I haven't seen this in so long. Thanks for posting.

  • I love this commercial. It is so bad it's good.

  • sexual harassment, aka failure to spit game

  • @viciousKev lmao, well done.

  • Memories! Thanks for uploading it.

  • I love this commercial.

  • Um.. Where were her assets?? She had no assets

  • i haven't seen this in fucking YEARS.

  • I now feel violated. this commercial made me feel very harrassed. i may start my own PSA. it's titled: "Sexual Harrassment - the world of youtube on the workplace"

  • I also don't understand why people these days are so ungreatful. They should have PSAs for that!

  • LOL It violates you!

  • Serves her right for being outside of the kitchen. :P

Seriously, I remember this psa. It truly is timeless. :D

  • I felt like doing the woman in this ad

  • I like the woman's somewhat wooden delivery: "No....that's sexual harrasment...and I don't have to take it..."

  • Not somewhat... overtly.

  • This public service announcement really is a classic. It shows how those types of (or any types for that matter) comments can be so degrading and dehumanizing to the individual. What a groundbreaking commercial and thanks for including it here!

  • A word of advice here for people. A PSA if you will.... NEVER file a sexual harassment claim at your job. The human resources department at your job is only concerned about the company, not you. They will not protect you.

  • OK. Explain where should I report it????

  • i grew up on this crap... thats why im a loser who respects women

  • Your comment actually made me laugh out loud. You're NOT a loser if your respect womean, you're a loser if you let spoiled bitches walk all over you. BIG difference.

  • Hey, I remember this one. What an asshole.

  • LMAO!!!

  • He didn't even pat her on the ass.

  • Classic! I forgot all about this PSA, but it was one of my favorites back in the day. Quite unintentionally funny!

  • ok? i don't have 2 deal with this video. thats 29 secs of my life i'll NEVER get back

  • Ah yes, I remember this. Hilarious!

  • WTF

    THATS BULLSHIT
