But so that the curls stayed I put mousse on the strand, curled it, wrapped up the curl and pinned it, hairsprayed, took them all out at the end and then hairsprayed again :)

Mousse is much nicer than hairspray to retain curls. Plus it smells nice and isn't overly sticky and doesn't frizz the hair. I just like it more :)

I did this for my sister for her grade 7 graduation and her hair is so thick- it took ages! Like literally hours!

My curler isn't as good either. I have a cone (I guess) and it has the wire spiral around it but I think I wrap it the wrong way so really I just use it like a normal barrel (I don't like the direction it curls the hair so I wrap it the opposite way) and so it doesn't work so well- but it's still an amazing curler!
