  • ur gay on this too

  • Hey my man. You rock either way and I appreciate your insight, but the video stuff was better. Hope it's not too long till you get tech glitches figured out.

    peace

  • Lol on the elusive part, too bad for Tito could of done better was definatley better at middle weight.

  • Hey dan man its been a long time dude i dont know if you remember me but i used to watch all your vids when they first came out an you even meation me in one of your vids, i havent had much time for this thing due to family issues, g/f issues, but the good news is i just had a little baby boy hes 5 months old, if you dont remember me it will be really weird lol so i hope you do

  • Goldberg also called Wanderlei, The Iceman

  • Rashad Evans vs Lyoto Machida

both are undefeated, and who ever wins should get a title shot

  • Evans is the same fighter as Tito, it would be the same easy fight for Lyoto.

  • How bout: LYOTO MACHIDA vs CHUCK LIDDELL

That would be a CRAZY fight!

  • No, no it wouldn't.

  • No it wouldn't! Answer me this, after Machida bores Rampage to death for 25 minutes and takes his belt via sleep induced submission, are you (or anyone in their right mind) gonna pay for the PPV to watch Machida defend his title?

  • No fight with Machida would be good. His fighting style sux. All he does is defend, defend, defend, and then come in for a quick hit.

  • 1. Watch his fight with Rich Franklin or Soko. If you find those "boring" then I guess you're just biased.

    2. If you were an MMA fighter what would you prefer:

    a) Scoring a TKO but getting beaten to a pulp in the process?

    b) Getting a decision while sustaining no damage?

If you chose a) then your self preservation instinct is broken.

  • "Elusive" is the new "imposing his will"

  • all brazilian winners! brazil is gunna own the ufc at 185 and 205 and possibly other wight classes just havn't seen much in others

  • That's because of Jiu Jitsu. If you're in MMA and don't know anything about that style, you're pretty much FUCKED.

  • ya pretty much true

but the fights lately have been won by either knock out or dec so ya but jui jitsu is a must know in the sport of mma

  • My only complaint is that there was no Battlestar Galactica Friday. Otherwise it would have been a perfect weekend. Good pics phat critic!

  • i want to ask this of all these dumb fucks that are pissed off at machida's clear superior skill:

if you were machida, would you do what he did, and dodge and stay fresh, or would you on purpose stand there and let your ass get kicked, just to "put on a good show".

if you chose the latter, then you need to go back to professional wrestling where they do that.

  • Yeah, that's what I said, for Lyoto to stand still and trade with Tito. If those are the only two options that come to mind for you... then who is the "Dumb fuck" here? Sidestepping for 15 minutes and only making some effort in the last 10 secs of each round is boring. But if you're entertained by jumping kicks that are basically just for show, who should be watching pro wrestling? And Dana doesn't like boring fighters either.

  • So you like getting hit in the head? I feel sorry for your brain cells.

Dana? Dana likes people who make Tito look like a fool. I bet he loves Machida now.

The point is this: real fighters come to fight and win, not to entertain the public. The best way to win is to fight accordingly to your strengths and strategy. Do you remember the first UFCs? People didn't know/understand BJJ and Gracie got booed in every fight. People thought that Royce Gracie was "boring" and "gay"! But he won every time.

  • Actually Royce made the crowd go nutz. Do you remember?

  • Actually no. I remember the crowd going crazy for Pat Smith and getting pissed when he lost. I remember boos in the Minoki Ichihara fight. I remember guys yelling "Hit him, hit him!". I remember people complaining how BJJ is "boring gay-ass dry humping". And I remember how people thought Ninjitsu was teh deadly l33t stuff. xD

Yes, times have changed and I hope people will grow to understand and love Machida's style as well.

  • So you don't remember

  • That is the bad thing. Lyoto obviously has the ability to finish people. But instead he goes to decision like 70% of the time. Yes, obviously they want to win but if you aren't entertaining while doing so then I doubt you'll last long. Look at what happened to David Loiseau after Swick. May happen to Rashad too.

The only problem with that argument is that Royce Gracie finished fights. They were exciting to watch. It isn't my prob that Americans don't have the ability to understand grappling

  • It isn't hard to submit guys who know NOTHING about ground fighting (UFC 1-4). Royce struggled against decent grapplers though. Had boring draws with Judo guys and Ken Shamrock. Lost to Sakubara, Hughes.

Lyoto's fights with Franklin, Bonnar, Nakamura and Soko were VERY entertaining. I personally loved the Heath bout as well. But I'll agree that he was too cautious against Tito. I just hope he TKOs the next guy he faces to shut people's mouths. I'm sure he'll try to finish his future fights.

  • "Americans don't have the ability to understand grappling " Not Really. Only new fans lack the ability to understand grappling. MMA as we know it today is AMERICAN

  • Goldberg also called Wanderlei "The Iceman."

  • Yes Lyoto obviously has technique, and props for being so elusive. But Xenu, he puts on a boring fight! 8/13 fights that have gone to decision... please. Maybe a little more exciting than a Sylvia fight. He needs to fight to win and not for points (How he gets any on aggression + octagon control is beyond me)

  • Lyoto threw and landed more than Tito so I'm pretty sure Tito lost the "aggression" criteria. He may have had "octagon control" but he couldn't do anything with it. What good is ring generalship if you can't land a punch?

  • Couldn't believe Shirk was trying to go toe to toe with BJ! Bad strategy, BJ's too good in that area.

  • BJ was too good for Sherk in any area though.

  • No argument here, but Shirk's best option would have been to come in the 2nd round and start shooting like crazy, because the one area BJ, has been vulnerable in some fights, is cardio. I really think Shirk thought he would land a knock out blow, and got sucked into fighting BJ's fight. I was pulling for BJ by the way. I have seen too many fighters fight another's fight, and get whooped, while abondoning there strenghts.

  • machida should be the one contender.you fight next who wins rampage or forrest

  • Great show bro!

  • Happy 100th!

  • better luck next time koppenhaver.
