@OriginalNakedChef Hello. I'm just wondering, can you do this with bread slices also? Tried to make your lasagne, but sadly we don't have all of the ingredients that you used in the stores, but i still made it taste...okay :P
I used this recipe but used a tiger bread stick instead and it was unbelievably nice, And I am RATHER partial to a bit of french bread. Any chance of a pizza base video because that would work so well with this recipe ) Thanks ONC
This is probably the nicest garlic bread I have ever eaten!
However, I must admit I did make a slight change because the shops had run out of normal french bread! I used a cheese french bread instead and its brilliant!

that's cool you have an ulu (curved knife), you should use it on the garlic and parsley together. i'm guessing this recipe would work with margarine? would it work if you put shredded cheese, say parmesan, in the butter mix?
thanks for the recipe, so simple. i'm always stuck with stale baguettes, now i have this to try.
Hadn’t intended doing a Halloween video but maybe if I get time this week.
Good idea to chop the parsley/garlic together with ulu knife :)
Margarine is good to use.
Ref the cheese, you could sprinkle Parmesan on the outside of the baguette or with the open baguette you could open it up near the end, add the cheese and let it melt. Never tried adding cheese into the mixture.
Nice, ONC! I like your idea of the freshness of the spread. I don't know if it is something just in the US, but we like to jazz up the appearance of the garlic bread with a sprinkle paprika after the butter combo is spread on.
I like to eat garlic bread smothered with a meaty pasta sauce. I use the garlic bread in place of boiled pasta. I use a knife and fork to eat it. It eats like a deconstructed meatball sandwich.

I have to admit I am just cooking a Pre-pack one, as it was 3 for a Quid in tescos! A Quid! Madness! But you'll never guess what I'm having it with! This is a lost favourite... Rabbit Stew! Yup! I found Diced Rabbit in Tescos! My eyes almost popped out & the lady next to me must have thought I found a 20 pound note! I was so amazed! You have no idea how rare it is to find Rabbit! AND How nice it is in a Stew. Have you ever tried it chef? It's the leanest meat! And tastes like Turkey thigh =D
@OriginalNakedChef Ha! Oh you do make me laugh! I bet you're a right lot of fun in real life! Yes they can afford to loose money on so many items, because they get it back on tactful product placement. Grrrrrrr. I don't like these big corporations. That's why I got the veg from my local Green Grocer the next day. I look forward to the possible Rabbit Video! And by the way, the Rabbit stew was the tastiest I've had! I barely needed any salt!
Superb technique by not slicing the bread through. Didn't you need to add salt to the mixture? And what would you recommend eating those garlic breads with?
I will keep that in mind and see what I can come up with. Some other viewers have asked be for breakfast/brunch vids so I had better put my mind to it!
Very nice indeed, I love garlic, sometimes I like a crispy version to eat with soup, stews or even with cretons or live pate. Slice the baguette in two, then slice in half length-wise. Crush a few garlic cloves into a bowl, add 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper and parsley to taste and then spread onto the bread. Bake at 400f for about 10 minutes or until brown. Last week I ate with chili con carne and sprinkled some grated Romano cheese on the bread when out of the oven.
@OriginalNakedChef thanks, you are too kind.
