The e-revo is a better racer period... so it comes down to the driver. I know a guy who can beat me w/ any truck he drives.. LOL (he is a pro) but maybe someday I'll be at his level, he has a lot of years racing over me this will only be my second year, really first "full" year on the track so I expect to do a lot better this season.
you plan on racing the erevo this summer ? i used to race there alot. raced a hand full last year and plan on going this year. built / building a bl emaxx now.
This Track is in Utica, NY? I live near Buffalo. How long would it take me to get there and do you happen to have directions or a contact number of the track?
It is a neu 1515 1.5d w/ a MMM in the video. I have recently switched to the Neu 1515 2.5d, she is now geared for about 40mph and a TON better/faster on the track. Took 3rd the other night in the truggy a-main, the only ones who beat me are the pro's.
I've yet to beat a pro, I've only raced one season though; I did managed to get up pretty high, and I've come a long way expecially in the last few months so we will see how next season goes. I think next season will bring good things :)
Our truggy class for club events is a 'monster unlimited' and the 'pro-series' events you can race pretty much in either as an erevo; run MTR tires for MT class or LPR's in the truggy class :) The Truggy class is a lot more fun and competative right now iMO.
Thanks man, my qualifer are 5 minutes in 3 rounds. My A-Mains r 15 minutes. I'm also running with a Novak 6.5, I heard there better for racing over the MMM. The MMM's r too fast!!! So if I get 1 set of 6000mah lipo I should be fine or should I go for the 8000mah?
I am running maxamps 2s2p 8000mah lipos (pair in 4s config) most of the time, they are lasting about 35minutes racing. I also have some SMC 28c 5000mAH hard shell lipo's I just snagged that are pretty awesome and will get you a 20min run time racing. The nice thing about the 5k lipo's is the reduced weight as well, so as long as that is enough run time, those are too great packs.
Yes it does. The 1Y is rated at 2200kV, while the 1.5D is rated at 2700kV. kV means how many RPMs the motor will turn per volt. So just multiply the input voltage by the kV rating and you get the motor's RPM under no load.
Exactly, I wanted max speed on a 4s lipo setup and the 1.5d provides just that. I can top out around 45-50 depending on if I run 22/58 or 22/62 and it really depends on the ambiant temp. 45mph with the torque you have w/ brushless is more than enough to get out past any nitro.
Great job kicking some nitro ass! So that was a Neu 1515 1.5D on 4S, I assume?
It's awesome to see brushless trucks taking a big foothold in RC racing. I hope the Mamba Monster system comes with a high-quality motor that's at least 90% as good as a genuine Neu. I plan to get the Mamba Monster 2650kV system when it comes out and run it on 4S in my E-Revo.
Cool

Two questions. Shock setup and how do you clean it after the race from all of the dust? Won't a water hose rust parts on it??

hey my local track wont let electric compete with nitro?? why could it be that they tired of getting smoked??
merritts28 3 years ago
have you ever beaten a pro then you would be best around and i hear nitro is it a mixture of e revo and revos

I would prefer a 2s lipo setup.
moparmaxx26 3 years ago
You need to run a pair of 2s lipo's in series for a combined voltage of 14.8v (4s) MINIMUM.. these trucks & motors are too big for anything less.

Also, if you want to take a look at the track, go to St. Louis dirt burners link

What kind of Battries r u using? How long is your runtime? I want to start racing, I need at least 15 minutes of runtime, LOL.

Is there a reason you didn't pick a neu 1515/1Y over your neu 1515/1.5d? does it have better top speed??
