I like the L4D1 Versus better than L4D2 Versus , but I like Scavenge off of L4D2 and that L4D2 is still active and being updated through Valve etc., Even though there are alot more to offer on L4D2, I would go with L4D1 because of Originality .

also on left 4 dead 2 when you die you always die in the same position so if you die in a corner you go halfway through the wall, whereas on left 4 dead when you die its actually more realistic.

Errr... I got both L4D's on xbox 360. And in neither you see your legs when you look down. Also all Halo games besides Combat evolved/anniversary. You can see your legs. Also in Escape from Butcher bay, Duke Nukem Forever, and AVP. Its shame though that most shooters that have this quality. because it makes you feel like youre actually the person you are playing as. Instead of a pair of floating arms holding a gun.
