  • My left brake is for my back tyre :/

  • Hey man what bike would you recommend for a new beginner under 300$ Could you help me respond to my channel - Nothing on it- :P thank you man

  • @codblackops4eva 300$ mountain bike? Sadly mtb sport is not that cheap you might have to go in 800$ before anything good.

  • okay... so how DO you break?

  • billy no mates

  • he isnt telling you how at all?!?!?!

  • figured that out today as i flipped over the handle bars and fuged my arms up lots of blood (always good :L), and i agree DO NOT use your front brake at all on a decent

  • @boltont1996 Maybe on purpose built trails. But if your freeriding on random terain and you come across a very steep slope with a sharp corner at the bottom you're going to need to learn how to use the front brake to go down the hill at a slow speed. Just using your back brake would result in the entire bike wanting to flip around. The front brake doesn't just go on and off, it can be used gradually too.

  • What brakes/shifter does he have?

  • omg!!! this guy is a joke!!!

  • his bike looks more i like a tank would not want to carry that thing for miles

  • to be honest, i never knew other countries could have disc brakes on the left or right flip flopped go figure...

  • left brake, front brake? my front brake has been the right on every bike ive owned. is this because i live in england or what?

  • @ and front brake was on the rightMIKECOLESHILL yes ive been in australia

  • @MIKECOLESHILL yeah :) i bought an american bike once took forever for me to work out the front brake was on the left

  • This video helped alot!!

too bad I watched it after I fell forward (indo)

  • how can a great bike like that not have disc brakes ?! =-0

  • wow, expert village sucks!

  • I like this guy, he's teaches well. :)

  • 80mm travel... ew

  • i like your specialized

  • your brakes are the wrong way round !!!!1

  • is it normal that my front disc brake isin't powerful at all? it just slows down the bike and takes some time for the bike to stop. my back brakes are a lot more powerfull but they are linear pull brakes. i have tried tightning the screw that aproaches the disc brake to the braking mecanism but it is tighened t the max. what should i do and why is it like that?

  • Change your brakes to Hydraulics or Disc Brakes!

And you have a Fox fork! Nice

Just change the brakes Get a Ellseworth

  • "you don't want to skid' :YES i do, it's awesome, it's fun and very useful in a lot of situations.

Also, get disc brakes, rim brakes suck!!

  • since when did the front brake ever be on the left or is this another stupid american thing

  • @Evolution2810

well i denmark - america and the rest of the world the front brake is on the left - it might be different in the UK but then again you guys are driving in the wrong side of the road...

  • @jonasEKR lol depends how you look at it lol to us all you guys are driving on the wrong side of the road lmao.

  • I love doing endos

  • if you put your arms up when using the front brake hard you can do a bike handstand lol

don't try this by the way unless you have insurance and want a trip to the hospital

  • Outdated...sad to see...everyone uses diskbrakes

  • aaaaah...Vee brakes, take it off us, it burns us(smeagle)

  • i have a hydrolick disk brake yeeea

  • @UltimateFreakify

Mr. freak, the disc brake system, cable or fluid, is good but it will not relegate to the background the old reliable rim brake simply because it is a very simple device. its simplicity negates easy mulfunction.the disc brake because it is sophisticated[?] once it malfunction that's the end of it or u.

  • im sorry but in DH you do want to use your rear brake to drake the back end out because of wet rocks and other obstacles

  • @DMSSKICLUB yes

  • @DMSSKICLUB

yea your right about that, where do you ride at

  • @ UltimateFreakify: The rim brake may be a little lighter but the hydro and mechanical disc's are getting lighter and some are even lighter then the rim brakes. So in that i say you have no say and you are the puss

  • I dont think ill bother. it does not really matter, plus im used to this setup. But i could change it though so thanks.

  • discs only have an advantage over DECENT v's in the wet, as they dry faster.

  • what, my rear is on the left!

  • yeah in the UK front = right, rear = left

i made that mistake on a hire bike in canada - endo-tastic!!

  • LOL thanks i didn't know you've just saved me face planting it when i go to canada :D

  • nice

  • you pull the lever....end of.

  • What a pus he needs hydro disc brakes.

  • Hes A Muppet Bu Its For Beginners So If Your Such ExpertS Why Are You On It :L:L

  • wtf? This guy almost endo's in the start of the video. And why the hell does he have V brakes.... Disc breaks are so much better.

  • Comment removed

  • i played supperman because of the front break and when over the bars its sucked i learn when in sandy contitions dont use the front to do most of the stopping

  • Why would you want the front brake lever on the left?? You want more control over the front brakes, and most people are right handed.. doesn't that make sense to have the front on the right? I think if i rode that bike, the first thing I would do is an endo or a really long skid into an obstacle.

  • yea seriously... How do you not know how to break...

  • endos r great, i do them all time, today i did them sitting down, first time

  • THAK HIM FOR HIS TIME TO SHOW U HOW

  • here in england our brakes are set up the other way round . Even avid brakes are sold with right hand dominant for front, and left hand for back brake

  • same here in aus, but my mate bought a norco sasquatch and they were stopped and i didnt know and ended up faceplanting rather than my intended skid

  • Yeah, I'm from the UK and it feels really wrong to me to have the front brake on the left hand..... I guess it's just what you're used to. I'd struggle with driving on the right hand side of the road too.

  • if things this guy mentioned are new to you DON'T GET INTO MOUNTAIN BIKING - your doctor.

  • Sorry but they are new to me, but I dont see why not get into mtb?

  • hes just saying these are the basics to biking and this guy is basically embarrassing himself. Some things he says are helpful but others are common sense. Mountain biking is great, dont let him spoil it for you. Good luck

  • I like how he points out the front brake can do mad dmg to you

  • hes crap

  • Good vids man.
