I'm Indian, and I'm not ashamed of this. I mean American and Indian cultures are obviously different, and I think Richard Gere should've kept that in mind when visiting a differnet country. But then again, I was born in India, raised in the States as a baby, and am pretty much "westernized". Kissing isn't a big deal, neither is having sex before marriage, or having an abortion. It just depends on what is acceptable or frowned upon in different parts of the world and one should respect that.
