Mirror Imagine is not exactly a new spell. If you play Warcraft 3, it should be very familiar. It mainly use as a distraction while the real one go for the kill.

Dude Blizzard it up! You could...the best way to AOE multibox is to use "mousecloner" (search google for it). Right now 5x mages are really stomping it with mousecloner and Blizzard/Flamestrike.

Stebetto, You realize damage doesn't really display anything. If you had the same gear as him in the same spec you would do the exact same amount of damage in spells. It's not any type of skill with pushing a button.

Real shame Arcane outdpses frost and fire by a ton....but I haven't messed around with frostfire yet. As for mirror image....It makes mages a bit more powerful.... especially in raids and such....i dunno about pvp. I don't think it will be overpowered with the current classes.... Paladins take out most of the advantage this provides.

To showcase a spell you need to see it in action, theres no point watching him cast it on a training dummy because you dont get a feel or understanding of applicating that spell. I think the pvp action you talk about is just about illustrating how the spell can be used.

huh? hes not using it on training dummies, he and his friends are raiding some alliance area (u can see the elite guards have the alliance pvp shield at the side of their icons) and they DID fight an ally DK and more

Another great thing to remember is this guy had big crits, but was ONLY using the Ice Shards talent. He wasn't spec'd for Ignite, or for Burnout.

If he had those you would see some pretty monstrous numbers on every crit.

How about you play the class before commenting something stupid? The amount of damage is decided by the spell cast, the specc and the spelldamage. With 1150 bonus damage on my 70 mage my frostbolts hit for roughly 1850-1950 damage. Frostmages give up a big chunk of their damage on frostbolts for high survivability and lower casting time.
