I planned on telling anyone I knew, not to ask me what I do for a living, because I don't talk about it, but the greatest thing about the street artists I hung with, and the women I met -- THEY...DIDN'T...CARE, and it never came up. Without that other world to live in, JELD-WEN would have been five years of my life that COMPLETELY...SUCKED!!!
I worked for Jeld-Wen for five years and would like to say I threw those years away, except, because I used every spare second off duty, doing everything that wasn't even remotely Jeld-Wen related, my memories are of the hobbies, the fun down time on weekends, the women I met, time I spend in metropolitan areas playing music on the street, filming bands,... every time I think about those five years, it's only those things. I threw the place away at the end of each day, and I'm glad.

I don't know what it's like to work for Jeld-Wen, but Jeld-Wen is the ONLY wood window manufacturer who has made a real effort to improve the longevity of their wood windows and doors. Auralast "Worry-Free" Wood is not a gimmick and Jeld-Wen is the ONLY manufacturer who has it!. Here in Florida where we deal with very high humidity, heavy rainfall, extreme winds, salty air and lots of wood destroying insects, you would be out of your mind to put any other wood windows and doors in your home.
@2558ish really? because you sound like you work for them. your comment surprises me, they aren't really synonymous with the concept of 'effort.' so you know, it's junk to work for them. just like MOST of their products are junk.
This co had the most negligent customer of service of any company I have ever done business with. Their rep calls back from blocked/private phone phone numbers. They will not even bother to look into the availability of repair parts (which your windows by this co are certain to need) are available. They do not know how to communicate by email. They call through anonymous phone call and are argumentative from there. Their product rots out at the ends due to failure to seal end grain.
@TiredOldFart Forgot to mention, on a dozen "identical" windows, none are true or square or the same. If you true up a left jamb and sill, the right jamb and top will be crooked.
Very over priced and of poor quality, I would never sell this junk to a customer again. Out of all my experiences installing there products I have always spent as much time installing the units as i have spent trying to make there product work as intended. Do your research and save yourself a headache...
