If you think about it, this game leaves plenty of room for creativity as with games like Guitar Hero and Rock Band are not so open based. Those games are rather linear, while this game seems fantastically open to interpretation, reinvention and at it's core, a fun time that everyone can enjoy.

I hate to say it, I really do. But the idea Nintendo is trying to sell-that is to be family friendly-is being sold well. And Nintendo is doing a damn good job.

Kinda makes me interested, it's just that the 50 dollar price point really hurts. 30~40 bucks, fine, but 50 is a bit steep for only 60 instruments when they're just MIDI quality. Especially when some of those are 'crazy instruments'...if Dog-Bark is in, but Erhu isn't, I'd be a little irritated...I'd like to use Erhu, but I'm not exactly interested in knowing how a dog-bark would sound in a song.
