  • @nastypastel -- thanks (just for the record, i'm a girl)...my brother also does some of the sound samples here on eboyinc, so the confusion is understandable, lol :)

  • @eboyinc Sorry for that. I saw other videos and I saw a man. I can´t distinguish your arms of his arms =)

  • this sounds exactly like the begining of ALEJANDRO by lady gaga

  • @annygold because it is....lol lady gaga took the song and put it in the background of the song

  • Do you have any video's that would show more of how you hold the violin with your neck?

  • @gbtayc -- wow, we have a ton of vids posted, but we're not doing the tutorial kind of videos...but there are some good ones on yt...and most of them are happy to take requests.

  • @eboyinc I'm not looking for a tutorial just want to see your head and neck area

to check out your grip as the violin looks very vertical in the videos

So I am guessing you do not have any video showing this

You sound great nice tone and pitch

  • @gbtayc -- here on eboyinc our videos are sound samples of the violin collection that my brother and i are helping to catalog, but on our OTHER Youtube page, Musicasa2ndlanguage, you can see videos of us performing recitals, recording in studio, and rehearsing. most of the recordings you can see our heads so maybe you'll be able to study some of those videos. i've sent you some links to -- musicasa2ndlanauge -- hope it helps out c:

  • wow!!

  • muchas gracias :D

  • You're amazing!!!

  • thanks so much...its so nice of you to comment :D

  • what a beautiful tone! amazing

  • thanks...its an amazing old French violin with a fantastic mature sound...makes it easy to sound good :D

  • so fucking amazing...I lvoe that you went slow in the beginning...

  • hey thanks :D

  • You play this so beautifully. You are an amazing talent. I have watched many of your videos and I must say that the body of work is extremely impressive.

  • although the beginning of that piece is supposed to go slower....love the sound of that violin. :)

  • thanks...i was sightreading this piece...trying to play it from what i remembered of it...yes, slower would be good. thanks :D

  • I love this piece! Do you have the sheet music?

  • its with the collection somewhere...i'll try and find it :D

  • Sweet

  • вау!!супер!))))молодец!+)))

  • вы :D

  • You are soo good!! Very nice violin btw

  • thanks so much :D

  • Amazing!!!!!

  • Can you play it more without feeling? Sounds like a school example so peeps can here the right notes but totally without personal touch.

  • hi, sorry you were disappointed...i am sightreading as i do for most of the sound samples. we're playing a collection of violins. the strings are old, the violins haven't been touched in decades (and longer). we pick sheet music from old boxes and just play...no warm up, no practice. if you post an example of how you play this piece, perhaps i could learn from it :D

  • Perhaps if I would have noticed all your other videos i might not have been so negative in my response. I now understand your testing different violins. However i think that if you "warp up and practice" before you can make awesome sound because as i see it you have the technical skills. For me as a listener it gives me more pleasure and giving the violin a real chance, would be much more appreciated.

    Cheers :)

  • hi, yes of course, warming up and practicing a bit would be good...when we can, we do...but usually, we are asked to work quickly. Thanks :D

  • the best!!!!

  • thanks so much...i love this piece :D

  • very well played and i like this piece very much....hope you can re-do it in full piece...thanx

  • sounds great! when playing hungarian music, it's important to sort of exaggerate the vibrato and make it dramatic. Yours is already really great! look up Lajos Boross, Lukacs Tibor, Joseph Lendvay, Roby Lakatos, Sandor Lakatos, etc... on youtube to get an idea of what the hungary sound is like!

  • yes, you're right and i understand what you mean. i was sight reading here, but i'm going to re-do this piece with more of the hungarian ideal :D

  • That is some incredibly great intonation... but as has been mentioned before, you really sped through it.

  • hi...yes, i see what you mean. i do tend to rush through these sound samples; also i'm sight reading and haven't ever worked on this piece. i liked it so i'm going to re-do it :D

  • waaayyyy to fast and very little emotion

  • thanks for your comment...that's the danger of sight-reading. i'm doing sound samples on a huge collection of violins so i flip through a pile of sheet music, see something interesting and that's what i play...i did like this piece and want to learn it...i'll re-do...watch for it :D

  • I don't know what it is, but I've other videos of yours, and your playing is - captivating somehow...sort of a brilliant simplicity. On to the Czardas - very well done, but it's odd, I've mostly seen it done sul G. That's how I play it anyways, me having never seen the music.

  • ur right...i was sight reading this off of the piano part...i'll re-do it the right way soon :D

  • wow, this is absolutely gorgeous !! czardas is one of my favorite violin pieces, and you played it marvelously.

  • thanks!!! glad you liked it; it's one of my favorites too :D

  • Hey, you know what I just thought of? Can you please try playing some of the theme from Schindler's List? After listening to your playing, I think the way you'd play it would be amazing. It's such a passionate piece, and I'd love to hear you try it. Only if you have the time though. That'd be fantastic. :D

  • yeah i love the piece...have to find some sheet music :D

  • I have the sheet music, I could possibly send it to you?

  • Keep coming back to listen to you play so well, and love the snippets you pick. Keep it up! I really dig this piece. later,

  • me too...glad you liked it :D

  • oh my god this is amazing - what would make it even better is if ou did the first bit all on the G String - i know its hard...but it improves the piece significantly. Good job!!

  • yeah, I was sight reading for fun when I did the last couple of pieces...I'll go back and re-work them both in a while. Thanks for the suggestions :D

  • I have officially decided to steal your sight reading skills. Sorry. D:

  • i won't file charges :D

  • wouldn't it help to play the same piece on all the violins you have instead of switching pieces? That way you can get a good comparison on similar aspects of each violin.

  • well, i'm doing sound samples and the folks that actually own the violins encourage me to play whatever I feel would be appropriate for the sound of the violin. they're professional violinists of note, and I think they can hear a note or two and tell immediately what a violin has or hasn't got :D

  • Oh man, you know how much I love this piece :D I'm wondering, can you play the friss even *faster*? ;) Clear, beautiful tone as always, and I was really amazed at how relaxed you played those sautillé notes. Bravo petite! :D

  • i was sightreading this piece (and the next one which is the Sinding Suite)...but I can probably play it faster. i'll do it again :D

  • I just love the way you play this piece on this video. I can feel it. Your other videos are amazing and I love to watching them. Thanks.

  • thanks for listening...glad you're enjoying these vids :D

  • Ahh...this takes me back...one arid summer night last year in a slump I picked up my violin and played this piece for a group of people. It made a drab mood lighten up and surged a soul I had rarely seen in this crowd. Your playing it has brought back such great memories. :D Time to play it again myself!

  • so great to go back and pick up an old piece...gives you great perspective doesn't it?

  • Awesome!

  • thanks again!!!

  • I really like the sound you're getting. I played this piece for fun awhile back after my symphony auditions. I thought the beginning section was all on the G string, up until the first repeat? It still sounded pretty awesome though. I love the fast part. [=

  • you might be right, i was just sightreading on this and the othe one i posted; the sinding suite. loved both pieces :D

  • Wow.. =P

  • so glad you liked this one!!!

  • sooooo beautiful!

  • thanks again :D

  • hey thanks so much :D

  • fantastic

  • wow...thanks so much :D

  • I love the mysterious sound of Gypsy/Hungarian violin pieces. You did a great job!

  • thanks as always...i've always loved this piece and just found the music. glad you liked it :D
