@dariusjamal30 Completely wrong, this isn't COD with bullet drop distance damage. Each fireball in the game has a specific amount of hits and the hits cancel out each other. Whomevers fireball has more hits win the struggle. Dhalsim has a weaker fireball

@BlakMastachief Just for number's sake, if Dhalsim's ultra does 300 damage and Ryu's does 250, it doesn't matter that Ryu's hits more (unless it's special contrived cases like this), Dhalsim would have the stronger fireball. Remember, it's just to make a point, I don't have actual number values, but I am sure others do.

..hadoken just does more hits than catastrophe, its like 8 hits for metsu hadoken and 6 for yoga catastrophe

Catastrophe is probably the weakest Ultra in the entire game, many other regular special moves, and even some basic attacks do more damage.

Catastrophe is used for a whole load of mixups on wake-up though. While I agree that it does hilariously low damage (300 with all 5 hits, right?), the potential for a mixup is high, especially considering that Dhalsim recovers while the thing is still on the screen.

Yeah, he could've instant air teleported into a combo or something. Heck, he could've blocked if he wanted.

I agree. If you spit out a catastrophe and teleport behind the person at the right time, it can be difficult for them to block or avoid it.
