I find this song so personal and touching. It asks some very deep questions about close relationships -- what long-term benefits are given up for momentary desire, and is it really worth it? For me, there are several instances where I'm happy now that I didn't do what I wanted to then.

Martin Gore. He writes the songs for Depeche Mode and is back up to the front man, Dave Gahan. Every now and then he sings a slow song, but he is a f'n genius! He just follows Dave and writes about what is going on....even when Dave had his drug habit.
