  • Our ghost crew would LOVE to investigate any of these that may still exist contact me hitoyou909 on yaho

  • this is cool! i grow up in Brooklyn, NY and now live in E. Camden. but i'm very interest in the history of Camden

  • @PsychoShadowI dont you wonder why someone doesnt re open a movie house in camden nj , i think it will do well dont you?

  • @cassandrabadie it would look nice on paper, but think about it? theres too much crime in Camden right now,

  • cool! thanks for this

I recall going to the Walt Whitman many a Saturday

    or Sunday matinee

  • @bobbybellsupreme i use to live next store to the walt withman house, in the 1980's

  • yay its on the top of the crime list again!!

  • what a wonderful opportunity to remember the great old cinemas - thank you, Allen, for this video, from someone who knows the Fox in Atlanta and the Tennessee in Knoxville (and the lovely Broadway in Pitman, JEJennings!)

  • I live up the street from "The Star" hahahahahahaha...yeaaa it still standds.

  • For anyone who would like to see a beautiful old movie house I suggest they visit the Broadway Theater in Pitman. It's in pretty good shape and is again hosting concerts and theatrical presentations. It also houses a gem of a Kimball theater organ maintained in playing condition by the local theater organ assocation.

  • I use to live in Camden. I never knew there were so many theaters.

  • They are all crack houses now!

  • what gems but its disappointing new jersey has no pride in keeping their historical landmarks. you did a nice thing sharing history with others.

  • I wouldn't say that the loss of all of these theaters is typical of New Jersey generally, but, you haven't actually been to Camden . . . have you? Think Beriut in the '70s and '80s and you're starting to get the picture.

  • I didn't comment this.. I think my mom did. I apologize.

  • No apology necessary. May Camden rise again--better than ever.

  • Very Nice:) I was born and raised in Camden so, i enjoyed watching ..thank you:)

  • Very entertaining video. Don't let the fact that only a couple people have commented get you down. I present documentation of drive in theaters and very few comment, so, you're not alone! I refer to these creatures as Cyber Borg Geeks. They spend all day watching the creative efforts of human beings but can't be bothered with a simple comment or thank you, they just go on to another video. I'm sure at least 950 or more viewers enjoyed your clip. ood job documenting great landmarks.

  • Great images, thank you.
