that's what I was thinking. i'm not a professional piercer but I know that had to have split some of the lobe. looks like it was pierced with a 4g or so, which is what I had mine started at. they used a 4g needle that cleanly cut a hole in my ear, almost like a dermal punch.

okay, no. its alot of personal preference. the clamp actually supports the ear tissue so you don't just push the ear backwards. and its the piercers choice of how they like to do things. so dont hate on someone just because their methods aren't the same as what you have seen.

well, i got my ears pierced, then two weeks later, i went to an eight, and its only been two weeks since i started stretching them, now im at double zero. dont go that fast, though i ripped my ears twice.

its a personal thing really, like they said, you can start at 16 but if you want you can start at 18 and leave it in for a week (the bigger the piercing, the longer you have to wait for it to heal) and let your ear get used to it and then a 16 will slip right in like you werent even sizing up and then in about another week you can do 14 and 1 week until 10 and then start waiting longer in between, or atleast thats what im doing

they say when u get you ear done. ur hole is like a 20. i went from 18-14 then i did them step by step. lol im at a ten. and im only going up to 6 or 8.

Ears are pierced with a 16 gauge needle. The ideal first stretch is to a 14g but 12 is ok. DONT GO TOO FAST.

Have a friend do it for you, I tried doin git myself but because I was so scared my strenght wouldn't let me push it though. It's easier when you have a friedn who will just get it over with.

i did it myself. if your afriad it will hurt wait about 2 days in between each size. move up slow and it doesn't hurt and it only takes about a monthe or so.
