Is this what Disney has for us in 2012? Re-releasing their hits? I will admit, Lion King in 3D was quite awesome! But it also had the action that GOES with 3D! 3D was made for action/adventure movies with things flying at you, not ballroom dancing!

Oh, and just a suggestion, Disney: BRING BACK THE MAGIC!!!

people can you let go of the hate of 3D for just this moment? I'm just glad there's an opportunity to watch this movie in theatres, something I wasn't able to do since I was an infant when this came out. I believe there's the option to watch in 2D anyway.

before 3d there were movies with scenes (like in ice age 1 the ice cave sliding) i wish i had seen in 3d. now that there's 3d they don't make those kind of scenes into movies...

@mariobros2772 The hate is because 3D is just a gimmick. You may love it but that still doesn't change the fact that it's just a gimmick. It doesn't improve the story. If anything it makes films look worse because of how it darkens everything. There's really no point to it. I understand why Disney is re-releasing people's favourite films in 3D because it's an easy way to make money but it still has no point

@joevictor53 I wouldn't really call it a gimmick. I think that 3D can add to a story especially in scenery. I remember watching A Christmas carol in 3D and the snowflakes all falling around you really cemented you in that experience. It is this phenomenon that I think really helps 3D. If you can create the story scenes around me and the audience, then 3D has ultimately done its job as a story helping device, just like coloring or lighting.

@joevictor53 I do agree that Disney is somewhat misguided in re-releasing classic titles with a 3D conversion but I think overall it is for the good. Disney gets to release shorts in front of its movies that otherwise may not be seen for years, Disney gets better experience at 3D for future endeavors, Disney makes money, and the consumers get to see a beloved tale again in a true theater experience. All I can say is that I am excited to see this!
