  • am i the only one who loved those "screwy aint it" commercials

  • lol i loved jonny bravo such a creeper

  • The cartoon theatre. I miss that so much

  • This is actually from 2001.

  • omg i remember that ppg music vid

  • I noticed that CN is bringing back some shows like Ed, Edd & Eddy, Two Stupid Dogs, Dexter's Lab and the classic Looney Tunes. I miss when they had more variety and actually showed cartoons, not that reality crap.

  • @sobelladulce Lack of variety is the problem with tv today, but CN is on the right track in my opinion. When watching CN, I see mostly ads for shows like Adventure Time and Gumball (which really aren't bad at all), the remaining live action shows on the network don't seem to be promoted as much as they used to two years ago. It was basically all Total drama island, 6teen, johnny test and live action shows in 2009. Now im starting to see variety added to the network little by little again

  • My gosh, I never knew how much CN revolved around my childhood...How I miss those golden days...

  • Ahhh, sweet nostalgia, I remember eatin' some Powerpuff Girl cereal ^w^...

  • @unwantedcorpse633 NOSTALGIA IS TRENDY!!

  • 6:11 - Trippin' balls.

  • i forgot what does this cartoon calls?. 10:25

  • @calsbergful The show was Droopy

  • @rumbazz "So defending pre-civil rights cartoons is considered progressive?" no but that doesn't mean i can't like something from an older time either never said I wanted everything to "fall back to the shadows" but It doesn't really matter at this point I will CONTINUE to like cartoons that a grew up with while moving forward, unlike most people I'm not one sided nor will I ever be but the real point is go against technology/Media all you like IT WILL NOT CHANGE A THING.

  • @rumbazz no I don't think you were because if you were you would sound well... mature. "doesn't mean it's okay to defend this" never noticed it was against the law to like something that someone else labels "bad" but I suppose the police will be at more door soon.

  • @rumbazz Oh lord not another one of them "millenium children" attempting to act smart, I don't see the problem in liking tv, movies, Video games Etc. this is not 1672 we have technology now, You can either join us and continue to advance our species... or you could be conservative and fall backward and continue living in a pathetic amish-like live because "hurrdurr it be a simpler tom baek den in 1847 durrr..." but if you choose the ladder I have NOTHING else to say to you.

  • @rumbazz but.. uh you are being both Ignorant and belligerent but of course I was never a child so it's odd to respect stuff I grew up with. And no I do not However I'm sure you do that to the peace sign.

  • @rumbazz Fuck you asshole

  • Your telling me the powerpuff girls won the cereal contest? =0 its a conspiracy!

  • @rumbazz 13? nah That stuff was DURING my time I was born in the Early nineties son "And I don't watch cartoons because I'm not gay." so nearly everyone on the planet (who owns a TV) is gay? wow never realised watching animated people killing eachother turned people homosexual.. no the only person that I hate is you. but you can go ahead and be a "millenium Child" and pretend to act older than what you are. " I find it quite funny." this doesn't even fit your comment whatsoever.

  • @shadowtygo lmfao ass wow you give early nineties born people bad names if you passionately defend your favorite childhood cartoons from people who criticize it's questionable humor. Looking through your videos, favorites, and subscribed, it's safe to assume you have aspergers.

  • @rumbazz mk that was quite possibly the worst insult I have ever laid eyes on sorry. " safe to assume you have aspergers" you used the word Assume. I can tell you are very intelligent bye doing so...

  • @rumbazz why don't you do society a favor GTFO the internet and watch those New Ass shit cartoons "Because there's no racsim, violence or anything negative" Because I'm sick of you getting butthurt over some cartoons that were made BEFORE YOUR TIME.

  • @rumbazz "Society has no place for an individual who posses a love for cartoons that were produced in the Neolithic era" that is ignorant to say and you KNOW IT. Just because he likes those cartoons it doesn't make him racist GO BE A TOOL ELSEWHERE.

  • @rumbazz shut the fuck up it's a cartoon they were created for your enjoyment. "can continue to live in your deluded world of golden age cartoons.

rumbazz 3 weeks ago " I take it you are a millenium child (one who was born after the 90's) you can go ahead watch your stupid 2010 cartoon rehashed bullshit while we continue are nostalgia runs seriously GTFO you are the reason why I've lost faith in the new generation of people.

  • The Bob Clampett Show. Definately the only place on CN where you could see his UNCUT and UNCENSORED work.

  • This makes me nostalgic :/

RIP Cartoon Network. You are truly missed.

  • @rumbazz P.S.S. I was born in THIS country. Don't believe me, see my (genuine) birth certificate.

  • @rumbazz I've definately seen Tokio Jokio and BBNtN. I agree that it's their way of making fun of Japs, especially showing what everyone in the country thought of them (don't call me hypocritical, because I was talking about blacks before). As for AT&RS, it's mostly satirical of the "Black Sambo" serials.

P.S. About Mammy Two-Shoes in Tom & Jerry, the inspiration of her character was the maid from "Gone With the Wind", so it ain't H-B's original perception of black women.

  • @rumbazz

    3. According to people that knew & interviewed Bob Clampett, he was friends with a lot of black performers in LA , Louis Armstrong asked him to make "Coal Black". And Bob himself had said that there was no intention to offend others.

    4. You were suppoded to be talking about what were specific examples of racism and prejudice in old toons, not about what you personally think about me.

  • @rumbazz I got a couple things to tell u after reading your stuff

    1. U think those toons are REAL examples of racism and that the WB people were that way? You definately havent's seen "Scrub Me Mama with a Boogie Beat". That is a true example of racism, for then and today.

    2. A bunch of Latinos (like me) have always viewed Speedy Gonzales as a fond memory of childhood, which is the reason CN returned them on the air in the early 2000s.

  • @rumbazz Which people exactly? Blacks? Japs? Pepole that are prejudiced against others? Whom?

According to Whoopi Goldberg, the writers didn't mean to offend anyone with these racial jokes. And this is from the perspective of a BLACK woman with an open mind, unlike the NAACP or Al Sharpton.

  • This brings back so many memories for me. I used to watch all these shows. Cartoonnetwork just isn't the same anymore. They should re-play the classic's,

  • once i saw the toonami guy i got pumped....

  • holy crap i forgot all about toonami and cartoon cartoon fridays and cartoon theater and sheep in the big city some of those commercials got plaid sooooo much i still remember them haha! haha thank you for makeing this video brings back soooo many memories

  • @ElBurrotheDiablo666 If you are someone with an open mind about the past, you would find "racist" to be too strong of a word in describing these cartoons. I would call it "politically incorrect" instead. Besides, stuff done today in other cartoon shows (like south park) is REAL racism compared to those pre-1960s cartoons.

  • rest in piece rodney dangerfield.

  • @nos212100 he still has gotten no respect!

  • Rover Dangerfield! I loved that movie as a kid! I haven't seen it in so long. Anyone know if it's available on DVD these days?

  • So I'm assuming you capture these from VHS tapes yourself?

You must have hours and hours of cartoons on tape. If only we could all be so lucky.

  • toonami... OMG COME BACK!!!!!!!!!

  • screwy aint it

  • ah cardcaptors....the failed original yugioh

  • I remember when BK had that green apple sauce. I think that it was for Kids Choice Awards.

  • The June Bugs marathon promo was from 2001. Even though the announcer said that all of the rabbit's cartoons would be shown, Time Warner ordered for 12 of those films to be removed from the marathon. Is anybody surprised?

  • 02:12 - 02:27 Tom and Buch hitting

    10:19 - 10:35 Scream by Droopy.

  • Comment removed

  • Toomani Reactor was only online for three months. This is just a test, indeed.

There was no permanent video streaming service until Toonami Jetstream.

  • 8:33 So THAT'S what a drug-addict teen does when they are high! xD

  • God, I remember I bought the PowerPuff Cereal, it wasn't half bad, sucked it was only a limited time.

  • @killerjohnny2 I remember loving it to DEATH! And I'm giggling at the mistake that put Bubbles' lines in Blossom's mouth.

  • @killerjohnny2 Yeah and the only way to have it again is to mix rice crispies with pop rocks.

  • omg memories :)

  • 2:59 Powerpuff Girls cereal; remember this? I remember seeing the commercial of it, but I never got the chance to taste it... Also, Cartoon Network has seen better days...

  • Funny. When I was a little kid, I thought Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi sang the PPG song at the end xD

LMAO The last 2 Screwy, Ain't It? promos!

  • 8:33 - Ear rape??

  • @nerdsman567 screwy, ain't it? lol

  • I remember that Super Girl vid lol

also miss the fact that I missed that cool online stuff

Too bad cartoon network doesn't show cartoon movies anymore... That Rover movie sounded interesting

  • @snsninja Yeah.

Balto II aired on CN from 2003-2009. That's one example of a cartoon movie for the whole family. My God that Aleu is too adventurous. And also, they aired the Scooby Doo movies that are Direct-to-DVD. (like Zombie Island, of course) Yeah, live-action SUX on CN big time.

  • man time flew by so fast, if i had a time machine i would set the year to the 90s.

  • @Trex10100 Yeah, if you were McFly, you can!

  • dragon ball z and sailor moon made toonami what it was

  • 3:28 - I have been looking for that promo for so long.

  • Nostalgia up the ass

  • @AngelsFury69 I know right. Cartoonnetwork used to be so epic.
