@bryanbellsucks Yes! Much fear of that match-up with the XYZ Chaos deck! Nah, but really though, I just felt so strong against other match-ups and felt that I would lose Game 1 vs DW that I wanted to make sure that I could confidently win Games 2 & 3.
As for my predictions. I'm pretty sure that Agents will get hit. From talking to a lot of people I learned that the ban list primarily is affected by what is going on in OCG. So with that, a lot of those expensive TCG exclusives are probably safe.BLS is safe with the idea that it's not affecting the meta in OCG.
As for what I wish would get hit; ThunderKing to 1, Hyperion to 1, Heavy gone, Dandy gone, Hunter gone, Tribe infecting Back, Oppression back.

It may just be me and my understanding of what a diverse format is. My only complaint is that there is too much in the game that only helps certain decks; and it doesn't help other, less competitive decks, shine in the format. For example. I really like the idea of being able to use Cloudians; but this format made it hard

SandTrap, why do you thinking Thunder King should be limited? I will admit the card is not balanced, but its splashability coupled with how it helps slow the game down definitely warrants it at 3. I just feel the game is really herp-derp right now and whoever can get away with a big push will win. Cards such as Maxx C and Thunder King inhibit this. I think free +1 cards should be gone, Dandy, Avarice. Also Rabbit to 2. Hunter banned or Zenmaity to 1. I think Book of Moon should come to 2
@bobflet TKR is a "staple" that shouldn't really be a staple, and I do not believe that's healthy for the game. Neither is massive special summoning, but that doesn't mean that TKR should stay unrestricted.
Plants were doing very well for the past 3 formats, and it was considered a "Plant format" for a while now. That was until Dino Rabbit decks were getting introduced to the metagame. First turn laggia and set double solemn warning and solemn judgment, you pretty much win. A banned card that should come back is Royal Oppresion. Sure it was banned in order to promote xyz sales, but i think it is necessary for a heavy special summoning format like now.
rabbit should go to 1, like you pointed out Rai-oh will prob. get hit since konami doesn't like cards being used in 3s(book) and I think it's time for Dark Magician of Chaos to come back

I think future fusion dump then m. born is a bit too good, i think it may go. Reason? dump red eyes and prime material along with a stardust on the field in one turn providing you have the right cards is almost game... I think disc commander may come back as its been banned for some time now but the effect in this meta format will make it a broken card. I also think trishula may get banned as the removal of 3 cards is yet again a godly effect despite me having one myself =/. *end rant* =]
Last Will could never come back, I don't think...at least not without a modern printing. In its time, it was frequently confusing because of its errata. Nowadays with the new problem solving card text, it would need new text ASAP. As far as the card itself, it has too much synergy with everything. Why am I typing this...I know you weren't serious lol
I can only think of Tribe - Infecting Virus or Tsukiyomi coming back. Tribe's effect is really slow compared to what Inzektors can do, and Synchro's and Xyz's make typing hard to target. Tsukiyomi is too slow. No more Goat Control, so Tsukiyomi is fine. The other cards that maybe able to come back is DMOC if other power spells are banned. Metamorphosis, I don't see a problem either, but if plants and treeborn are around, then TER will be very annoying since it only takes one spot in the extra de

For the Banned List, Konami only cares for the game state of the OCG. Like you said, Tour Guide will not be hit because of reprinting sales, and the same thing can be said for Reborn Tengu. @xsaviour09 I think the Banned List cares about TCG as well as OCG. TIV is a problem card imo, although maybe Tsukuyomi could come back. Metamorphosis should come back as well. TER isn't a problem because I believe TER is banned and could remain that way.
great video! hmm the banlist is in a interesting state right now. the problem cards of the current game have no room to go on the list, as there are less problem cards feeling there slots. We really need to redo the full banlist giving us cards we haven't played in years and getting rid of things we always use. Pot of Greed would be quite fun.
@thesandtrap imperial order is one less powerful banned cards. You can use breaker lyla scrap dragon etc to kill it and 700 a turn adds up if you use warnings on breakers etc
@chaoshexer96 I disagree. Just because there are possible answers to IO doesn't mean that it's okay to bring it back. IO is one of the most powerful banned cards imo.
@TheSandTrap Just having the sheer possibility of not having an answer for the card can lose you games in general. You might have several answers for the card itself, but then you also have to draw them when it comes down to it. Also if you go first and have a hand full of spells to an IO you pretty much lose the game at that point, if you can't draw an answer for it soon.
Great video as always. I would like to see Wind-Up Hunter banned and maybe TKRO to 1. Konami have never been big on hand destruction and a deck that can strip your hand turn 1 is never fun to play against. Aside from Hunter the Wind-Up deck is fine and has plenty of other XYZ tricks up its sleeve. As for things coming off the list, Malicious to 3 would be nice but probably won't happen. I just love the D-Hero engine and it could have some interesting interactions right now especially with XYZs.
They stomp on loops pretty quickly. The wind up deck is great without hunter, it just doesn't loop a hand. They won't touch new cards like rat and zenmaighty, but hunter can go.
I want something crazy to come back like Change of Heart just to see how it does, but that is so unlikely. I'm pretty interested in march 1st, I just don't see anything else coming off of the list.
Also, the problem with the game is that there are simply too many top decks. reason being because there are too many staples, allowing shitty decks to be a problem, and also too many good cards in the game. this ban list could do sooooo many good things for the game (but it wont), limiting key cards in every deck (except one), there for creating a tier 0 deck, so that people can either play the best deck, or be forced to play anti-meta.
ban pot of avarice. Limit a TON of shit. But it is a somewhat honest comment, 5k life for a fusion is fair, if it were to get veilered, the person who played Stein basically lost the game. And unless I am mistaken, since it was not properly Fusion Summoning the monsters, their choice in what they can make is extremely limited, and you are at least for sure getting a turn to counter it.

Summon Scrap Dragon. Pop, pop. Metamorphosis into Cyber Twin Dragon... I'd love Metamorphosis to come back because cards like Ryu Senshi and Dark Balter are an awesome toolbox but it can't happen because of synchros.
Pot of Avarice is the biggest problem card. The card is simply better than Pot of Greed now. Reusing Tengus, Tour Guide and the Wind-Up engine makes the card a joke.
For some reason I can see Goyo coming back. Zenmaines to 2, Zenmaity to 1. Someone said Chaos will be big next format so I wouldn't be surprised if DMoC came back.
tour guide reprinted would be the most unhealthy thing in the game. every one plays it in their deck for the free monsters and decks will just be dubbed tour guide variants until the OCG gets them. then whoever draws them the most wins, not good for he game. but maxx "c" would be best as a reprint because FTKs are more restricted with chance of veilers or gorz. thats what would like to see, and BLS gets banned again. its the dumbest card to ever bring back, i,d rather have dark strike fighter.

@DarkLordAce3 Remember, Konami must balance between a little luck and too much luck. If they feel that leaving Zenmaighty untouched would help tip that balance unfavorably, then they'd do it. But who knows what they are thinking!
@justGSquared neither hornet nor hunter are the issueless with either deck. if dragonfly was at one then once you get rid of it they don't have the whole possible +4 just to do it again next turn. wind ups can loop with just 1 hunter and can easily go into leviair incase it was removed. if you put zenmaighty to 1 then the loop is gone while the deck can still be highly playable. putting hunter to 1 was like putting warning to 2 when ppl only played that number >.>
@emokniet Interesting... I was naming those so as not to cripple the decks completely (konami just put these cards out, I doubt they'd destroy the builds by banning there best cards)... but I have to agree with you on dragonfly... maybe make dragonfly semi limited...
@justGSquared in that sense putting dragonfly to 1 would hurt inzeks too much but putting zenmaighty to 1 would just cause the deck to run the way it was meant to. it would still have explosive plays but just no loop. limiting hunter when they use 1 effectively does nothing. or if hunter was banned then you have more extra deck utility but zenmaighty to 1 > hunter banned.
@AlphaErix Magician isn't the problem imo. And an easy way to discard a card from the hand by a Level 4 monster being summoned is still stupid for the game.
@TheSandTrap If someone is playing a proper WU deck they will only run 1 or 2 hunter anyway because 3 is terrible. There are also so many outs to hunter currently available to players that can be run in any deck such as veiler, bottomless, and warning. He also requires 2 cards because he can't tribute himself. Magician is a much bigger threat because it gets hunter to the field and combos too well with Shark. Even shark is fine at 3 if Magician goes to 1.
@MrRag3r1 DMoC coming back can't be good for the format imo. Just leads to stupid loops/OTKs. And Zenmaines is definitely a problem, but really moreso because of TGU.

Isn't TGU a tcg exclusive? I think that's the main reason it will not be banned. If there's one card I'd bet money will get banned, it's Sangan. Banning Sangan will reduce TGU's power without banning a tcg exclusive, and at the same time get rid of a card that is already borderline too good and has long overstayed its welcome. This will also definitely be the first format with XYZs on the limited list. My guess is they'll touch Leviair. Shapesnatch needs to be banned as well.
since rescue rabbit cant be touched yet they're gonna limit rescue cat to even out the format a little also they're gonna limit goyo so syncros will keep they're place in popularity a bit. most likely monster reborn and heavy storm will be banned and then giant trunade and premature barriel will return.
haha. not alot of people remember the AWESOME metamorphisis. one of my all time favs. be nice to see it again. as one of the few that knows the value it will def be in my deck. as far as the rest goes, i never worry bout the ban list. its only ever hit one of my decks hard just once.
Wind - up Factory x 1 / Wind - up Hunter x 2 / Zenmighty x 1 ... with those cards getting hit wind - up's are the best deck hands down and the deck to get rdy for -- 3x Veiler is a most now --- max'c if you can buy them -- Main gozen match's vs wind- up if your deck can play them -- hopefully they get hit by the March 1st Ban list --
Hunter isn't the problem imo. Rat is the enabler in the deck. Hunter on it's own does not initiate the loop. Rescue Rabbit is also a huge problem in the meta right now. I think it should go to 1.
Need to be banned: Wind-up hunter, Tour guide, Monster reborn, Dandylion (love the card but plants have been around to long, bane it for a bit bring it back later)

Bring back: Royal oppression (SO much random summoning going on, this would keep the Derp Derp from happening as easy.) and if Reborn is banned bring back Last will (not a "rez" from grave but we can use call of the haunted for that. Last will gives more interesting options then reborn)
Wind-Up Factory and Zenmaighty are more problem cards than Hunter. First off, no deck should have 3 Black Whirlwind in their deck. Plain and simple. Second, Zenmaighty is the fuck that starts the whole fucking combo and continues it. If you restrict Zenmaighty, at most you can take 1-2 cards from your opponents hand.
Monster Reborn and Mind Control are also problem cards. The amount of sheer advantage those cards can give a player is ridiculous.

I think Wind-Up Hunter will be banned and Factory to 1, Konami doesn't like loops from what I've heard and from previous formats. They are older cards and stop the loop, but still makes Wind-Ups competitive.

great video! hmm the banlist is in a interesting state right now. the problem cards of the current game have no room to go on the list, as there are less problem cards feeling there slots. We really need to redo the full banlist giving us cards we haven't played in years and getting rid of things we always use. Pot of Greed would be quite fun.

@thesandtrap imperial order is one less powerful banned cards. You can use breaker lyla scrap dragon etc to kill it and 700 a turn adds up if you use warnings on breakers etc

@TheSandTrap Just having the sheer possibility of not having an answer for the card can lose you games in general. You might have several answers for the card itself, but then you also have to draw them when it comes down to it. Also if you go first and have a hand full of spells to an IO you pretty much lose the game at that point, if you can't draw an answer for it soon.

Great video as always. I would like to see Wind-Up Hunter banned and maybe TKRO to 1. Konami have never been big on hand destruction and a deck that can strip your hand turn 1 is never fun to play against. Aside from Hunter the Wind-Up deck is fine and has plenty of other XYZ tricks up its sleeve. As for things coming off the list, Malicious to 3 would be nice but probably won't happen. I just love the D-Hero engine and it could have some interesting interactions right now especially with XYZs.

They stomp on loops pretty quickly. The wind up deck is great without hunter, it just doesn't loop a hand. They won't touch new cards like rat and zenmaighty, but hunter can go.
I want something crazy to come back like Change of Heart just to see how it does, but that is so unlikely. I'm pretty interested in march 1st, I just don't see anything else coming off of the list.

Also, the problem with the game is that there are simply too many top decks. reason being because there are too many staples, allowing shitty decks to be a problem, and also too many good cards in the game. this ban list could do sooooo many good things for the game (but it wont), limiting key cards in every deck (except one), there for creating a tier 0 deck, so that people can either play the best deck, or be forced to play anti-meta.

But it is a somewhat honest comment, 5k life for a fusion is fair, if it were to get veilered, the person who played Stein basically lost the game. And unless I am mistaken, since it was not properly Fusion Summoning the monsters, their choice in what they can make is extremely limited, and you are at least for sure getting a turn to counter it.
I think he isnt ban worthy anymore, just my opinion.

Summon Scrap Dragon. Pop, pop. Metamorphosis into Cyber Twin Dragon... I'd love Metamorphosis to come back because cards like Ryu Senshi and Dark Balter are an awesome toolbox but it can't happen because of synchros.
Pot of Avarice is the biggest problem card. The card is simply better than Pot of Greed now. Reusing Tengus, Tour Guide and the Wind-Up engine makes the card a joke.

tour guide reprinted would be the most unhealthy thing in the game. every one plays it in their deck for the free monsters and decks will just be dubbed tour guide variants until the OCG gets them. then whoever draws them the most wins, not good for he game. but maxx "c" would be best as a reprint because FTKs are more restricted with chance of veilers or gorz. thats what would like to see, and BLS gets banned again. its the dumbest card to ever bring back, i,d rather have dark strike fighter.

@justGSquared neither hornet nor hunter are the issueless with either deck. if dragonfly was at one then once you get rid of it they don't have the whole possible +4 just to do it again next turn. wind ups can loop with just 1 hunter and can easily go into leviair incase it was removed. if you put zenmaighty to 1 then the loop is gone while the deck can still be highly playable. putting hunter to 1 was like putting warning to 2 when ppl only played that number >.>

@justGSquared in that sense putting dragonfly to 1 would hurt inzeks too much but putting zenmaighty to 1 would just cause the deck to run the way it was meant to. it would still have explosive plays but just no loop. limiting hunter when they use 1 effectively does nothing. or if hunter was banned then you have more extra deck utility but zenmaighty to 1 > hunter banned.

@TheSandTrap If someone is playing a proper WU deck they will only run 1 or 2 hunter anyway because 3 is terrible. There are also so many outs to hunter currently available to players that can be run in any deck such as veiler, bottomless, and warning. He also requires 2 cards because he can't tribute himself. Magician is a much bigger threat because it gets hunter to the field and combos too well with Shark. Even shark is fine at 3 if Magician goes to 1.

Isn't TGU a tcg exclusive? I think that's the main reason it will not be banned. If there's one card I'd bet money will get banned, it's Sangan. Banning Sangan will reduce TGU's power without banning a tcg exclusive, and at the same time get rid of a card that is already borderline too good and has long overstayed its welcome. This will also definitely be the first format with XYZs on the limited list. My guess is they'll touch Leviair. Shapesnatch needs to be banned as well.

Hunter isn't the problem imo. Rat is the enabler in the deck. Hunter on it's own does not initiate the loop. Rescue Rabbit is also a huge problem in the meta right now. I think it should go to 1.

Bring back: Royal oppression (SO much random summoning going on, this would keep the Derp Derp from happening as easy.) and if Reborn is banned bring back Last will (not a "rez" from grave but we can use call of the haunted for that. Last will gives more interesting options then reborn)

Wind-Up Factory and Zenmaighty are more problem cards than Hunter. First off, no deck should have 3 Black Whirlwind in their deck. Plain and simple. Second, Zenmaighty is the fuck that starts the whole fucking combo and continues it. If you restrict Zenmaighty, at most you can take 1-2 cards from your opponents hand.
Monster Reborn and Mind Control are also problem cards. The amount of sheer advantage those cards can give a player is ridiculous.

I think Wind-Up Hunter will be banned and Factory to 1, Konami doesn't like loops from what I've heard and from previous formats. They are older cards and stop the loop, but still makes Wind-Ups competitive.
