  • how can you compare a pc to a mac ? lol stay safe in the Apple PC kindergarden

  • Love this guy! He has a different view of the world. When he looks at something, you see in his eyes that he is thinking about this thing, how he can make it better looking and more practical!

If you love hightech with design, buy a mac! Because the only thing apple brings to their products that microsoft doesn't, is culture!

  • This video is just the ending of a longer video about the construction of the unibody MacBook pro.

  • I use both Windows and Mac everyday, because I have a Windows system at home and Mac in office. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. Mac works as promised but allows less flexibility. Windows lets me run it the way I want to run it but keeps crashing. Using a Mac is like eating a gourmet dish; great taste but more money. Windows is like Ramen noodles, good for people on a budget. But, in the end both fill my stomach! :-)

  • WOW Such PASSION for computers. Absolutely amazing, maybe Apple is not all that bad.

  • The only reason that I like apple products is because of it's design.Tahnks to Jonathan Ive

    Thumb's up if you agree

  • Apple is too expansive for who doesn't have a active social life with gigabytes of pictures, home movies, self made music and videos for YouTube, etc.

For who just go to the internet make some research and chat with a few friends on AIM, like me, the most cheap notebook will do the job.

  • @Devr0ss ... Apple don't compromise choice for simplicity...anyone with a brain can figure out what they need for their computer based projects, and what Apple do, is create a good range of choice, to which the consumer can match their needs to...not everyone is or wants to be a computer genius, so Apple cater to them by making it more simple, but at the same time, if you want to learn about computers, that info is still available to you if you ask, or look at the internet

  • yeah yeah yeah just add right-click.

  • @kirbyman1kanden7pf you've got only 1 finger?

  • haha its funny because the people who hate apple can't come up with any really good reasons to hate it

  • @SOFLY806 They're weak and expensive

  • @SOFLY806 really? you must not be listening to people.

    mac-sucksDOTcom/index.php

    ijustwanttofitinDOTcom/technological-stockholm-syndrome/

Steve Jobs for one, is arrogant, selfish and just rude.

1997, Apple was doing very, very poorly as a company. Microsoft gave Apple $150 million to help them get back on track and licensed the use of Microsoft Office for the Mac between 1997 and 2002.

They really helped them get back on track.

  • @SOFLY806 Apple uses a lot of hostile marketing towards Microsoft, and they seem to not show any gratitude for the major assistance Microsoft gave them in 1997.

Jobs loves to make cracks about Bill Gates or Windows, never donates to charities and has been known to even be rude to Apple fanboys during press conferences. There's a video out there about a guy politely asking Jobs for an autograph and then Steve just starts being very rude.

  • @zenvidar Steve is SO different now....I know it.I'll tell you a little secret... I talked with him.

  • @SOFLY806 Apple is about art style and simplicity, not about affordable pricing or allowing 3rd party companies to make a living providing accessories and parts. Everything has to be done by Apple to ensure they have the greatest profit.

They don't listen to their consumers that much. They seem to more program their consumers to listen to them.

  • "If something doesn't need to be there, it shouldn't be there"

Dear every laptop designer who things we all need an array of blinding blinking LED's: Please listen to this guy!

  • the only reason i still use a PC is because a lot of stuff only works with windows, hopefully the tables will turn.

  • what music is playing in the end of this video?

  • @InkyBlur

u2 - city of blinding lights

  • did he just say "more sexual"

  • People really fall for all the Apple hype. It is true that because of a lot of attention to design that OS X is somewhat more intuitive to use than Windows. But not by much and certainly not the mythical proportions of superiority that people ascribe to it.

But I guess that's what genius marketing gets you...

  • Add to that, no virus-threats, the system keeps being stable through time (not getting bugged and needs reinstallation for keeping performance as with Windows after maybe half a year), the OS system is beautifully designed and frankly the most easy-to-use of every system. The most stable, secure, nicest designed, and most easy to use. On top of that, the design of the computers exterior is probably the most gorgeous and functional of all out there. Frankly, what else do you really need..?

  • @RareFlax We need the next generation to learn how to use computers and make change in the world, not to be spoon-fed more closed, proprietary technology with which they need to run to the Apple store every time they have an issue.

  • PC owner for >10 years. Educated in Windows technology/PC environment. Since I switched to Mac a little more than a year ago, I now know what a "real" PC should be like. It came to me like a really big insight when I started using the Mac, this is how it should be (with an SSD on top of that) it does what you want, fast, no hanging programs (if they do, you forcequit them and the system NEVER freeze) "THE" control+alt+delete defined. No wonder why, my cousin at Symantec has Mac for private use.

  • @RareFlax

OS X freezes and gives me a kernel panic when Im on safari browsing youtube. Yeah... there's more than your little corner of the world.

  • Sure, you can switch from a monopoly to a wanna-be monopoly. Help the rich get richer than other rich.

Or you could start using Linux and support technology freedom... for free.

  • in ten years we will all look back at this and think ( That is one fucking ugly computer )

  • I own a Mac and a PC. Both of them has a ton of flaws.

  • @Potatis1337 And if you had typed your reply on your Mac, then the word "has" would have been underlined in green to alert you that your grammar sucks.

  • @badmanners411 And if the care police would have known about shit conversation, I would be turn into a merry whatever, and I would have very bad manners up to a number of 411 times, to prove my point.

  • mp3iffy is the best site to get this mp3. google mp3iffy.

  • I've used Windows for 7 years. I'm switching to the mac in December because they deserve 10 times the recognition they have. I want a better experience. I have felt Macs , they are so much better. IN therms of design , power and simplicity :D !

  • People are born with a PC but people who use a MAC chose to do so..

You have probably heard about MAC complaints but how many of you heard it from a MAC user ?

    Just for your thoughts :)

  • Man that guy is funny! He thinks SO Deeply about the products, and it cracks me up! Peace!

  • @BeersYourFriend if you were paid $2 000 000 a year wouldn't you think deeply about a product you were designing? I think I would.

  • @DaveSalty84 True, but his accent, which sounds Australian, is just funny to me as he thinks about the products they are working on. I would bet, that there is a lot of help with designs, that he does not work on... So, Yes, he is the Development Product Manufacturing at Apple, but I think that he is just Acting just a bit, to ADD to the products in a way that people like to hear... People seem to like pauses when you talk, that really shows his Care in a product, but like I said, Acting???

  • Johnny is English. I want Morgan Freeman to do apple commercials. morgan freeman could read me an in-depth instruction manual for a nuclear reactor and I would be hanging on his every word.

  • @BeersYourFriend How does he sound Australian? His accent is very English. Are you American by any chance? Because it seems to me that Americans often manage to get those two accents confused... Without wishing to sound rude :)

  • Their philosophy is simple - Less is more -

All inspired by dieter rams, who was subsequently inspired by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe...

  • Drugs, jail - Apple.

  • The true apple philosophy, make computers with the best hardware and software for rich people to piss people who are forced to use Windows because they can't afford a mac.. off.

  • I prefere a Thinkpad with Linux, but if Linux hadn't been created, now I will be using a macbook pro for sure

  • That's my computer :)

  • Anybody know that song in the background? Probably Apple made but if you know it, please reply.

  • U2 - City of Blinding Lights

  • @thedifferentelement I think this is U2 "City of blinding lights"

  • For a guy who's beard goes around his whole head, he seems pretty 'aight :-P

  • "If it doesn't need to be there, it's not there." - Incredible piece of designer advice I'm going to use from now on.

  • What song is this?

  • U2 - "City of Blinding Lights"

  • I like the mac, dont get me wrong, but I hear him saying ( content ) "Mac is for simple people".

  • thats not what he's saying at all. mac is for simple people haha. no. the design is about simplicity, because the people who buy mac do so for a non distractive content rich environment free of labyrinth.

  • Yes it is and I think you are misunderstanding it. What I think he means go along the line of, "the most simple solution is usually the best" and not simple = dumb.

  • that came more negative out me than it should be :D

  • i got a pc and i done all my projects on my pc, i love my pc as if it got a historical story for me, now i got a macbook and funny is, i use my macbook a lot more than my pc, it's really is a piece of art and i fallen in love immediately after i touch it. and in the future i consider buying an imac to replace my historical pc, i'm an apple fanboy now ^^

  • this comment describes me

  • Same here

  • One just has to use a Mac and a (Windows) PC for lomg enough to know both, and it becomes so obvious which is the right one to use going forward in life. :-)

  • @badmanners411 PC adds unneeded things on

  • @badmanners411 Simple isn't always best when it means removing choice, which it does in the case of Apple. Since people generally prefer things in life handed to them, its no wonder Apple does well.

  • @badmanners411 I assume you're choice was the PC. Given its lower cost and compatibility as well as its upgrade-friendly, customizable nature...

I would only choose a Mac laptop and I would only do so for its design and its trackpad. Apart from that, all the software I use either works exclusively on PC or runs more quickly on PC. Not to mention, I build my own computers and I hate throwing away a perfectly good aluminum case when I can simply upgrade the internals.

  • @PocketDrummer I use a Mac. A 3 year old notebook is still as good looking as new (both in its design and wear and tear). It's as fast as it was when I bought it. It's easier to use, causes me less trouble, the remedies are easier if it were to go wrong (do you know how easy it is to reinstall Mac OS X — that's a total pain with Windows).

Did get 7 years life from my last (tower) PC. I only ever had the lid off to clean the dust out, install more RAM or upgrade HDD but then it was all obsolete.

  • @PocketDrummer bootcamp...it still runs windows better than just about any pc

  • @Evanblive91 Wow, you're quite delusional...

  • @flows30 one oless winblows user

  • @flows30 same here

  • @flows30 it was exactly the same for me. i couldn't even imagine going back.

  • @flows30 now run linux on your PC

  • @flows30 wow thats like bragging you have a tumour

  • @flows30 exactly, thats my story, i feel you bro XD.

i have a gaming pc, got a macbook pro for school, now i want everything apple, scumbag bill gates with his plastic products.

  • thats an awesome dude :] i approve of this message

  • "If something doesn't need to be there, it's not there"

Great. But I like perks for my money. What happened to all my throw-ins and extra parts? =\

Minimizing product perks and maximizing price does not a great reputation make.

Other than that, they are indeed a work of art and hard labor.

  • i moved from a pc and have to say that the macbook pro is a thing of beauty in so many ways.

  • the old MacBook Video was a way better than the new for the MacBook Pro

  • best computers out there. MAC FOR THE WORLD

  • i think the next pc i get will be a mac. windows is great and all but its still very clunky and annoying.

  • Apple's design is beautiful but they do forget usability in favor of design. Like the macbooks. The connections are so minimal. Only two USB ports is extremely minimal, 3 would be so much better. The aluminum casing is great to look at but it gets extremely hot at times just because the fans are so minimal and aluminum guides heat instead of isolating it. Other than that it's gorgeous :)

  • Thank you watcherob. you are actually right

  • g e n i u s

  • America's greatest bit of REAL design in several decades, even though Rams inspired.

  • America is a super country, but apples are British design and Chinese build.

  • The MacBook is a great product, everything about it exudes quality.

  • I love this video. It's perfect music, mac and Ive

  • This man and his work is largely wasted on the masses who flock to M$ Windoze machines like sheep to the slaughter.

Those who look at the design of a Mac and see only the 'look' of the thing are missing 99.9% of what good industrial design is all about. And this isn't just good industrial design, it's truly great industrial design.

He's like a living force of pure inspiration - pure poetry. And attention to detail is everything. I doubt he knows how to enunciate the phrase: "That will do".

  • BobbyF16, he's an industrial designer, the mac book, and the mac book pro are the same in design, just larger.

in other words, he has nothing to do with the speed, power, perfermance of how the laptop runs.

    youre an idiot.

  • i love macbook

  • "...I love the way we dont reserve our very best ideas for the highest end products.."

well technically you do because apple only releases one line of laptops and the new macbook pro is it... loving the look tho.
