those owners left notes not to kill their animals...they must of been threatened by the police before everything went down....This still bothers me years latter......It will catch up with them when the men stand infront of god.....
I left New Orleans about 2 years before Katrina with my dogs. My friends are all rescuing animals...it is neverending. I agree: this was a national disgrace at proportions I never thought I'd see in this country.
This is sooo sad, but true. A lady that does snip & clip told me she finds so many kittens dead from starvation and sickness. She says trapping never stops, it just goes on & on. The sad thing is so many of the spay and neuter programs are starting to end, and it cost too much for the average Joe or Jane to do on their own. Poor babies, God bless them all.
Pam: Thank you for always being there for the animals of New Orleans. Two years later and a major national city is still decimated, and no one complains. It is a national disgrace.
We were in New Orleans last month, and I was amazed at how much was still devestated, and how many animals were still running all over repopulating. It's a shame there are not a lot more people involved, and that the public has forgotten about the Katrina victims that still need our help. Keep up the great work! =^..^=

seeing all those cats around outside together makes me worry there must've been a good deal of unwanted kittens being born...
