Wow how rude. Isn't the whole point of a town meeting to let residents speak up and have a say in their local government? Carpenter is just harassing this woman and instead of answering her or addressing her question, he's being unnecessarily condescending and aggressive.

I have wondered and asked why the town board meetings are not aired on the public access channel? This is done by other local towns, why cant we publicize the meetings for all to see? In the past when I approached the town board and supervisor with a topic they didn't want to address they treated me with the same cold and bullying attitude. I think the town board needs to remember that they are working for US.

Well done, there is no accountability for the current Town of Pittsford government. Time for the taxpayers to push back... it really is time for change. Great place to live, but poorly managed... from the top down. Can't wait for the next installment, didn't even know it existed until I saw it in the B-P Post.

I agree with the poster who said that it was obvious that Minnerd and Slade had an agenda. I think they both did a great disserve to Mr. Carpenter and the people of Pittsford. They made themselves look silly rather than the other way around. They should both be ashamed.

Regardless of agenda, it was a valid question and one he failed to handle well. He probably should have deflected that or said he would look into doing something like that instead of being verbally aggressive. It would have just been so easy to compliment her point and will "consider" and "try" to do something like that. What is the problem with posting town laws (not even salaries)? That would have appeased her.

Living in Pittsford, it seems that if I travel to the Town Hall with a question. The people I hire to work there would just give me an answer. If i was challenged by some joker who obviously forgets who he really works for, i would let him have it like the lady at RG&E gets it when my Electric goes out! He isnt to blame for the site she is asking about but handles the situation like his constituent is insulting him and all he works with.

Why would anybody complain about Bill Carpenter and the town of Pittsford Government? we live in a democratic society, and if they were doing a poor job, these people would not be re elected time after time. Pittsford is one of the most sought after communities to live in all of New York, and the extremely well run town government is at the heart of it.

Well, they sure look stupid in this one. What a juvenile attempt to make something out of nothing. When you are unable or unwilling to debate the real issues, you can always resort to character assassations. Get real!

It depends on how you view it. I thought it was very interesting, and it reminds me that I should be more interested in how our town government conducts itself. At least they're getting their opinion heard. That's what democracy is all about. Stupid no, opinionated yes. We need more activism like this in town government.

What was filmed is a perfectly ordinary, and perfectly civil, discourse at a public forum. You might as well film a Mayor walking in the town's 4th of July parade with titles saying "The Fuhrer leads his troops against Poland." This can only be the work of undercover Republicans trying to make the Democrats look stupid.

It is obvious that the "damsel" and the videographer had an agenda and I don't blame the supervisor for questioning her motives. She was impuning his character by stating that he was "hiding" something that is readily available in written format at the Town Hall. Perhaps if the damsel put her energy into working on one of the over 20 volunteer town committees, she would appreciate the open government we have in Pittsford under Bill Carpenter's leadership.

Excellent use of these tools to reveal the inner workings of government. If only Mr. Silver and Mr. Bruno actually allowed public questioning by citizens! Even more amazing, what if they responded?!
